The snarbolax set should Do ctr instead of Damage increase, That way we won't have 1 Asi and 2 dmg wolvers. This make the armour more diverse and not just a shadow version of skolver, People would have another reason to consider skolver instead of snarby too. The snarby set (coat and cap NOT shield) should do CTR low for swords This way CTR UVs value wont be effected (or barely).
snarbolax armour, Auto variant change
Giving it CTR like that would cause more problems than you'd think.
I'd just give it a blend of Vog and Skolver- ASI/Damage Low (swords only of course) on each piece.
Or turn it into a sword equivalent of any of these:

But I insist, whats the problem with it? If you use that argument agaisnt snarby, use it against Justifier too.
Or why snarby and not skolver? Skolver is already overused, it'll surely shake down LD
*hides evil plan*
I never said I was for or against it, just that CTR was a bad idea
Using a phone ATM, can't post much.
The exact same thing was in the original thread.
Way to copy someone else again.
I don't care too much about CTR, especially when fighting devilites (not that I have snarbolax anyway, never bothered).
Selfish issues aside, why? This makes snarbolax significantly inferior, and there are plenty of other armors with identical bonuses.
Well if you are worried about snarbolax being Under powered. Then perhaps it could do damage low aswell. Btw what armours have sword CTR?
And if its a bit Better. consider the fact that its harder to get. CTR would be helpful for those who like to use sword charges.
@luguiru -_- who's coppying who? and what?
Arguably, CTR Med + sword damage Low might be *over*powered.
And in any case, changing to CTR would annoy every Snarby-wearer who bothered getting CTR UVs or trinkets.
I said CTR low, didn't you read it. And my soul reason is because medium get rid of the value. but low, ppl won't care TOO much about, and still be used the same, won't effect the price, as it is only one set with lows. like with ctr armours still keep CTR UV value on bombs
So CTR Low + DMG Low? Then it would still be underpowered compared to the existing DMG Med.
Like I said, substituting damage with CTR--even if balanced in itself--would troll everyone who went out of their way to get CTR UVs or trinkets. People have spent tonnes of CE/cr getting CTR VHs on Brandish lines, for instance. Now you want to make that expense useless in conjunction with Snarby gear? No thanks.
Low wouldnt lower the value of it. There are CTR med Bomb armour. You don't see the bomb CTR prices going down. So low doesnt make much of a difference. If one set has it, wont make a difference. It just means that If they have the UV, They could just go wear skolver for the damage med. And if they can get a Crazy CTR uv on their swords. getting any 5* item be easy comparitavely. It won't disadvantage them in any way.
Lemme get this straight. Imagine this scenario:
I bought/rolled/crafted a CTR VH Brandish and turned it into a Voltedge, intending to use it against Undead.
I made a Snarby set, intending to use it against Undead.
I have been happily using this combination for ages. It has given me exactly what I wanted when I bought it.
Now you suddenly want to make the Snarby set give Med CTR when worn together, so that half the benefit of my UV is wasted.
And your response is that I can just use Skolver (a piercing armour) instead of Snarby (a shadow armour). Against Undead.
And you insist that I have incurred no disadvantage.
Are you for real?
Snarbolax armour isnt the only thing with shadow defence
My point was that you would deny many players the practical use of either the armour or the weapons which they worked hard to get. If I already got Snarby, why should I have to switch to a different armour just so I don't waste the UV? (Or, if you think UVs are a sign of excessive wealth, why should I have to craft a whole new trinket to replace the CTR trinket I already made?)
And sure, there are other shadow armours. But would any of them replace the DMG bonus lost? Nope. (Monster bonuses aren't the same.)
