Is it confirmed that the Tortodrones are returning? If so, any approximate date? I really want to fight one. If they are not confirmed to be returning, I suggest it does. it would test co-op and such very well.

Apparently they will, but no dates. Not even a phone call.

@OP:

Or an old suggestion returns.

Or both.

Apparently turtle cyborgs breed slowly.

Sorry, but I'm fairly new to this game, so I was wondering: Why were they removed in the first place?

I know they dropped a 4* shield that may have contributed, but weren't they rare, and couldn't they have just lowered the drop rate like Love Puppies?

@Yttriu:

I believe they were removed because they only existed in Treasure Vaults, and newbies didn't know fighting him was optional.

I mean, if you saw an 18-foot turtle you'd start attacking now and asking questions later too. Not knowing he was a passive NPC, newbies attacked him and got killed and wiped on a Treasure Vault. That'd suck, wouldn't it? Only to find later that you could have avoided the encounter.

Pretty sure that's why - though his removal made T.V.s all the more boring.

Treasure vaults are pretty much useless now.

Just make the message-thingie at the beginning of the stage mention the fat turtle's peaceful nature, or even give it some enemy chatter(it's not too much of a stretch for a robot-turtle) advising people to do no harm unless they want tons of harm and a chance of some neat loot. If people don't read it, it's their fault. May not be the ideal solution, but simply noting the danger of attacking the turtle somewhere where you're pretty much guaranteed to read it(say, near a trotodrone, but not near enough to attack) would already help alot.

Tortodrones were never in treasure vaults, they were in Emerald Axis.
