As a hybrid with guns and swords, I have chosen these weapons. I am open to constructive criticism on any changes or additions I could make.

SHADOW
Sentenza
Faust (soon to become gran faust)

PIERCING
Blitz Needle
Final Flourish

ELEMENTAL
Storm Driver
Combuster

(Some info- I do FSC often, play lockdown moderately, use Vog armor set and Barbarous Thorn Shield. In the process of heating Sunset Set to make Shadowsun Set.)

All solid choices, fit into

All solid choices, fit into FSC and LD nicely. Polaris might be something to consider due to its utility, but a Stormy is always a good gun to have around in case something needs a quick nail in the face.

Thoughts

My take on it : as Darkbrady said, it's overall all good choices, nothing wrong with anything, but some things bother me :

- why did you take faust and combuster ? Why not all heavy sword or all medium swords ? Or else, why not DA + acheron ? It bothers me since I think you'd do DA over GF, since DA is great for FSC, and DA can be charged without any drawback, while gremlin are arguably better dealt with Acheron. Not that there is anything with your choices, I just find it a little odd.

- Storm Driver, as for all alchemers, is good for a main gunner, but a little hard to use as a side-arm in my opinion. If you use it primarily as a side-arm, perhaps you should consider Polaris or AP

Otherwise, those are low-priority, according your armor/shield info, you'd probably be best served by doing more shields/armors to adapt to different situations (FSC is not the only place here. Shadow Lair and Danger Mission can't all be done easily with Vog/BTS). Shadowsun is a solid choice too.

great

Your weapon choices are all great. I'd take Acheron over Gran Faust for PvE, but Gran Faust also works well.

I disagree with Fradow that you should use all heavy swords or all medium swords, but not mix. I have no trouble switching sword feels in battle. Your three swords all have very different feels, but you'll learn to use them, no problem. Yes, DA is great for FSC, but Combuster is also great for FSC. I have really strong UVs on both, and I use Combuster almost always in FSC nowadays.

I like that you're trying various weapons, rather than trying various armors. Weapons strongly influence your play style and hence make the game fun. But Fradow is right that you might need new armor in Shadow Lairs and Danger Missions, unless you're with a very strong team.

Have to agree with Bopp

Have to agree with Bopp there; there's nothin' wrong w/ mixin' up speeds and styles of weaponry. I find that a lot of interesting combos can be pulled by doing just that, especially in hybrid builds~

I also gravitate toward

I also gravitate toward combining gun and sword. I dunno about the OP, but for me part of the reason is that it offers more gameplay variety than specialising in one class, so that may be a likely explanation for DeeDee's choosing one Brandish and one Jelly sword, especially considering the toothpick and the combination of Antigua, Autogun and Alchemer!

I kinda agree with Fradow in that Avenger makes more sense for FSC than Combuster due to Fire theme, and I don't know about LD since I don't play it. It might be a bit of a headscratcher, but only a wee bit since IMO the Elemental option is more appealing for both the Jelly and Brandish choices and, later on, the Faust's ability to suicide is handy in a party run. (for sharing heat, usually at health fountains right after monster-rich battles...) Lack of a Pulsegun and Freeze kinda support such a heavy party play orientation.

That said, between FSC and presumably being able to use a Needler effectively, I think Freeze has a lot of potential for fun. I myself prefer Fire on my Brandish since the "damageburst" effect is what I like that sword for, but with Freeze I can stack a couple of Catalyser charges on a monster by the time it thaws- and the combination of a Brandish charge, thaw damage, and a two-charge Cat combo is a lot of damage. I expect your Needler would synergise in a similar way, and Blitz-Blizz-Bio should be an interesting way to cover all 3 abNormal damage types while making the Elemental weapon unusually useful against Elemental-resistant monsters and aiding the high-damage gun for whichever other damage type is most appropriate for the situation. For that matter, assuming you're good with that Driver... Does any one here know which of the 3 Shadow guns has the best charge damage for this purpose? (If no one answers here, I will [try to remember to] start a topic for that.)

Choosing a gun and sword for each damage type is getting pretty close to "choosing" everything that is ideal for any likely situation, which is not very... choice-like, I guess. The lack of even mentioning any pure Normal-type weapons suggests (to me, at least) that this is understood. Since this seems to be about choosing everything that is awesome rather than just a relatively frugal couple of full loadouts' worth, I would like to point out that some of the pure Normal weapons have really nice unique perks so are worth considering as well if you haven't already. They're also handy if you like Danger Rooms but, like me, don't know the pattern (if any exists) for monster themes that differ from that of the stratum the DR is in.

The Troika's charge attack is utterly wicked AND reliable, so much that I'm going for a Khorovod before upgrading either of my Sealed Swords. I don't even like the heavies much, but that charge attack... it's irresistibly fun. IMO the Blaster line is another undervalued gem; obviously not as stupendously powerful as the Needler if you are good with a Needler, but it's as easy to hit with as the Magnus and thus outclasses Magnus by offering similar or better DPS with more mobility in exchange for the lack of interrupt power- unless you're interested in the interrupt power for similar synergies as I just described with Freeze, in which case the Magnus is awesome. The Blaster's knockback is also great against Greavers, and the added range vs. Alchemers makes it a more desirable choice for me if playing in a party where a Pulsegun might be inappropriate. I don't really see the appeal of the Calibur's ludicrous knockback, but others value the weapon for it so it deserves mention too.

buried question

I kinda agree with Fradow in that Avenger makes more sense for FSC than Combuster due to Fire theme

Combuster doesn't set many monster on fire in FSC, but this doesn't matter. Monsters ride the Combuster charge better than the Glacius or Voltedge charge, so the charge attack does tons of damage. Combuster is highly effective in FSC (and elsewhere).

Does any one here know which of the 3 Shadow guns has the best charge damage for this purpose?

Well, they're pretty different. Umbra Driver has an alchemer charge, which is awesome due to the ricochets. Sentenza's charge is very dangerous, as it keeps you immobile for so long. The wiki may have updated damage numbers for those two; I don't remember. And Biohazard's charge doesn't seem to do any damage at all...;)

Umbra, without question. Biohazard is slow, takes long to set up and is often overkill. Umbra is spammable, hits single and group targets well, has high damage, ricochets...

Sent is just a stupid charge.
