So...

Gunslingers specialize in damage types, so it is recommended that I own at least 1 of each damage type (shadow, piercing, and element)
So help me!!

I own the gunslinger set (gonna go to shadowsun set)
the Kilowatt pulsar (to Polaris)
and the Needle shot (to Blitz needle)
and the shield is the Owlite 2* (gonna get swift buckler)
Feel free to add or criticize about my loadout
ALSO if you haven't noticed, I have never used an alchemer before..
so I have never experienced its "awesomeness" or whatever these people describe those guns..
And i NO has shadow weapon.

(And a link to Fezhor's guide would be helpful..)

Side note: I farm JK with a nightblade for crowns

Extra note, you'll eventually want alchemers because of their utility status affects and power house Prisma/Shadow. But it's perfectly fine with what you have, I would just recommend a different elemental gun such as AP or Nova Driver, because sometimes Polaris's knockback annoys your teammates and other times in tight spaces those shots just don't seem to expand fast enough, whether for damage or for safety~

It's very simple. Use blitz if you can. Otherwise use an alchemer. If you don't like alchemers, use the relevant antigua.

For armor, I would suggest mask and shadowsun with a swiftstrike. Although if you don't have expansion, you can substitute most anything for the mask. I would go with another shadowsun piece.

Eventually you will want a set for every damage type. For shields I would go Owlite, Skelly, and Jelly. Crest is more popular for shadow, but I think Skelly is the better shield to have nowadays. You can substitute snarby for jelly if you want to be more flexible.

One last thing, I would consider buying a CTR autogun to upgrade to blitz. Mediums aren't too expensive.

I am thinking about switching

I am thinking about switching the pulsar to an alchemer, is that okay? Im thinking of using a cyro cause freeze is apparently useful in endgame

Alchemers are beasts

Alchemers are beasts everywhere. Although note that you vastly increase efficiency by alch-switching with a second alch.

Freeze is up for debate:
On the upside, it freezes enemies for you and allows timed kills.
On the downside, ricochets and further attacks will break the ice, and if you're shooting fast you might break it before you even realise that you froze it.

Point is that the freeze is really useful, but tends to get negated before you can take full advantage of it. In LD, however, freeze is a game-changer, and Hail works a beast there. Personally I got a Stormy first as shock works great in the CW. I have them all now and love my Hail to bits, but I'm glad I went with Stormy first.

Up to you, ofc. My girl got Hail first and says she wouldn't change that~

Gun is Fun

That's quite a solid set you got. Covers the three damage kinds, has very good bonuses in the long time...

But, unfortunately, I'll say what many people have already said: Needs more Alch.

I myself did not like Alchemers when starting, and had a loadout similar to yours. But as soon as I got the hang of the Alch Switch I can say I was missing a lot from, um... a better gunning experience. The main advantage is that it has a VERY high damage output, meaning you can play offensively very well. And unlike the Polaris, it is non restraining to party members due to lack of knockback. Also beats AP/Sent line in DPS, and is always good to be able to pack a punch. Not only that, there is the Status effect in 3 of the 5 alchemer lines: Shock, Freeze and Fire. The two first are great support status, to yourself and your allies. Fire is nice for dealing extra damage too. And last but not least there is the charge shot. With many ricochets, you are able to hit a single enemy or even a large group dealing a devastating damage that can 1HKO weaker enemies and outdamage any sword, if done correctly that is.

I must say is more of a preference thing, but Alchs have the advantage of being a great weapon with greater skill, while most other guns are stuck at the basic mechanics with little to no diversification.

As for the armor and shield choice, you couldn't have chosen better. Shadowsun is a great choice, with or without UV'd equipments (which you might want later on if you get more money) since gun damage increase is universal to your guns against any enemies and unobtainable with variants.

Also, I'd suggest that later on you get a Callahan or Toothpick(Snarb Barb or Flourish) for piercing damage. You'll find out Blitz is not enough against Fiends and Beast unless you get a very good party, but dodging devilites and teleporting wolvers annoy party members, and you'd probably get caught before you can kill anything.

You might have a hard time without swords in T2, but you do have your Nightblade to JK so you'll be fine till you reach T3 and can do higher missions and farm Vana. By then your guns will be working just nicely and there won't be many troubles there concerning damage or skill (You get the hang of it after farming for money there). I suggest gathering a bunch of good friends or join a guild to have other people giving you a hand until then.

Another thing, if you get a liking for Lockdown, you'll have a great set already, since the Sentenza is a useful sidearm, as the Polaris is too. Blitz won't be of any use due to Invincibility frames. If you start to use Drivers (4* and 5* Alchs) they'll kick @ss too, since they will have a very powerful hit, fast firing speed and status with the Stormy, Hail or Magma. And a gun you might like there is Valiance. It's usefull for any class and game style, with fast firing speed, big bullets and pushback. It is not exactly the best in Clockworks or missions (PvE in general) but might come handy since it's Normal damage.

And lastly, don't ever forget: Have fun! Guns are the most fun weapons to play in my opinion, and you are one in a select group of people who chose the gunner style from the beginning. It'll be hard, but rewarding when you see you made it :3
