Crowns for energy. Too high?

I suppose I'm gonna be that guy who says that the price for 100 crystal energy for crowns is a little too high at 9k. A while back when I first spotted this game on yahoo, I was able to play to some point and by the time I was done, I could either buy recipes or use what I had (which was just enough mind you) to purchase another 100 energy and keep playing. Now, I have to save up for days just to buy more.

Maybe I would be out of line for such a suggestion and I seriously highly doubt that anyone will really care for this but I am simply suggesting that maybe there could be a limit on how much you could sell energy for. Yeah yeah, chew me out if you like, you critics, but what fun is the game for people without money if all they can play is one run through of a few levels per day? I think it's just unfair that others have to suffer just because everyone and their dog has a recipe to make or something to raise demand.

think about this

1: use search bar please. suggestions of this type come up at least once a week.

2: no.
-why:
you say, " what fun is the game for people without money if all they can play is one run through of a few levels per day?" this is actually not true. most (competent) people can play through levels, and get enough crowns to buy more CE. Also, remember to use the market tab to post offers for buying CE as it often gives you a better price.

"you critics"

FYI, the critics usually only get somewhere when someone's being stupid. This is just a case of another person being unhappy about CE prices. Again.

People are going to be annoyed, but I doubt critics.

Tbh, there's more to the game than just grinding the stages. For instance, after adventuring, you could go and sell some materials you don't need. Can't clockwork, but have time to long on and worried about wasting your mist? Craft some cheap 2* gear and sell it.

I don't mean to brag at all, but I've earned about 300K over two or so months with Skelly suits using just my mist. I had an alt craft as well, which helped.

You put a limit. People stop selling. You get no energy at all.
Developers are forced to roll back your idea or game dies.

Price is high but you have to deal with it.

"most (competent) people can play through levels, and get enough crowns to buy more CE. Also, remember to use the market tab to post offers for buying CE as it often gives you a better price." When exactly was the last time you had a mist only playthrough that yielded enough crowns for another 100 CE? I gained only 6k crowns from this (I tried just now)

@Shinjid:

KoA perhaps? 60 mist = 8k cr, if I'm not mistaken.

You can probably even do two RJ runs, but I don't know the rates there as I haven't been there in forever.

It's easy for a tier 3 player due to the high payout of FSC. Even so, a 100 mist run on any other level wouldn't even be enough to buy a pack these days, much least for a tier 2 player.

It's possible to get enough crowns on Tier 2 though, but the only place possible to do that is on the RJP, and it only gives around 1K per 10CE on average. So you'll barely make any extra money to spend on other stuff if you intend to keep buying CE so you can keep playing there.

So yes, it's pretty bad.

@OP
I assume you are on tier 1. If so, fat chance on trying to get enough for one tank. Good thing is that the missions gives you the stuff for free so you can progress quickly. You won't be so much when you get on tier 2 though...

Yes, it sucks to pay so much for CE to keep playing, but if it wasn't for the elevator costs, the CE prices would become far worse. Not saying taht I like it though, I do believe there are far better alternatives to keep the economy from blowing up...

Processing Thoughts of You Always

@Sev: Actually, I'm pretty sure that it was 50 mist = 8k cr, so you could technically do two runs in a 24-hour period and still be left with some mist kicking around the bottom of your tank. Obviously that requires you're halfway competent, but the whole process is a lot easier with a Shivermist and a bunch of Needles.
(I managed to do it with 1 part-time shiverer who didn't seem to want to keep Vana frozen, another guy with a 4* Strike Needle or whatever the name of the mainline 4* gun is, my own partially heated Plague Needle and some... newb... who was using what I think was Ash Tail, Brute Jelly, Kamarin and Cryotech Alchemer. On the plus side, my Plague did go all the way from level 6 up to end of level 9 during that run.)

@OP: There have been a bajillion threads on this same subject. 99.9% end up in the graveyard because they don't contain any worthwhile suggestions. OOO has specifically stated in the past that they do not wish to actively restrict the prices on the market, since it is supposedly free and thus dependent on player prices (although they take off a good portion in tax in order to act as a partial crownsink and prevent players from obvious profiteering, not to mention releasing promos in an attempt to increase the influx of CE).
You would probably be much better coming up with some kind of crownsink in order to rinse the excessive cr out of the system, since this would also have a side effect of helping to lower the cost of CE on the market. Either that, or a way to prevent/reduce further creations of crowns in the system, possibly by reducing crown drops in missions - however, by itself, this would have a limited effect due to the massive cr stockpiles of certain people, not to mention excessive bawwing from players.

@Aureate:

My bad, 50 mist not 60. Not exactly sure why I said 60.

Case and point, it's not hard to use Mist to make CE...

Because, as you noted, people carry 4* dudes through FSC all the time.
