Hi Everyone!!! I'm a new Knight on this dreadful and strange World. Time has pass and I have experienced and enjoyed a lot of good moments. But I have also noticed some features that are lacking, or others that are not very well implemented. I'm sure most people want a lot of new end-game content, like the Core levels, or a whole new game area, etc.

While I would certainly be glad to have an update like the recent Guild Hall Update, or I would be very excited to know that the Core Levels were released, I think that creating and implementing those changes takes time and effort. Furthermore, I'm sure that whether or not I give my opinion, for sure another Knight has already do so.

That's why I'm making this thread: A summary of my personal suggestions. But not any suggestion. The next pack of ideas are simple ones, (takes little time to program) and I think they will add a lot of enjoyment to the game.

===============================================================================================

***Colored Recipes if Owned***
EDIT: Sorry didnt' notice that there was a tootip indicator. Still changing the background color would be cool, but absolutely not necessary

***Custom Friend List***
When I'm in the Clockworks or doing missions, I always add my party to my friend list. Now that I have a lot of friends it's easier to join a game I want, or to ask for help. But as the list gets bigger and bigger, its very hard to remember which friend was this or that. That's why I would like to organize my friends, like creating a "Skilled" Friend list, or a "Nice Fellas" list, or a "Clumsy Knights" list, or a "Merchants" list, and so on. I think you get the Idea.

***Better AH Filtering***
The current search function on the AH is good, I can find what I'm looking for most of the time. But sometimes I need to find a particular range of items. What I'm suggesting is adding a second or even a third filter. Currently the only filters present are "all" "swords" "guns" "shields"....etc. Then you can order them by "Time" "buy price" "bid price"...etc. The first one are a filter, the second one is just an arrangement. But I would want to have a second filter. Example: I want to search for 3* guns only. So add a second filter specifying 3*. Or I want to search for all kind of items, but i want them to be below certain buy price, so I add a second filter with that. I know the AH its fine now, but I think this would be a nice addition.

***In-game Clock***
Well, not much to say about it, having an in-game clock is always cool.

***Bugfix: Frozen animation and missing parts when finishing a game***
Have you noticed that when you finish a level, a screen appears showing how much crowns and materials you earned. But the picture shown is static, and sometimes my armor have missing parts. But if hover the mouse on it, it will "refresh" the missing parts are back and the picture moves a bit. Now, if you move the mouse in and out of the picture cell VERY fast, you will see how should it look like. A smooth animation of you character.

***More End-game statistics***
When a game ends I can see how much crowns and mats I earned. But I would also like to see how much damage I have done and taken, how many enemies I killed, how many times I died or resurrected a friend...etc, you name it. And comparing myself to the rest of the team to see how much of a help or a burden I was to complete the mission. Wouldn't that be cool? :)

***Enemy HP***
For crying out loud. I know this has been suggested. But I think this is a MUST-HAVE, of course as an option, since not everyone like to see HP bars over the head of the enemies. What I suggest is to give the option to show the hp bar on monsters and bosses, in bosses only, or none. This will make everyone's life easier.

***Charge Cancel***
When you are charging a weapon sometimes you see yourself in a tricky situation were you need to shield or run, but doing that will not work, or will trigger the charged attack. I think there should be a way to cancel that. I suggest that, when the shield button is pressed, the knight immediately switch to shielding, thus, canceling the charge attack. This is a very simple meassure that can save many lives. (I'm not sure if canceling a charged attack is possible right now, correct me if I'm wrong)

***Better Crown Earning Scaling***
Wow, just wow. This is just broken. The reward for completing a level should be proportional to its difficulty. So tell me, wich boss stage is harder, the Jelly King or the Roarmulus Twins? The twins stage is a HELL compared to the jelly king. Yet you only earn about 200 crowns more. It's just not worth it. The same happens with most of the levels. Jelly King is the best source of income (at this stage) because its easy, and earn crowns. So it's not strage to see people grinding the jelly king to craft their 4* or even their 5* gear. Thats its awfuly broken. I'm not saying to nerf the jelly king. What I'm saying is that completing the more difficult levels should be more rewarding. So, what I'm suggesting, is that you buff the crown earning ratio from jelly king onwards, so that it will rise the crowns earned acording to the difficulty of the stage.

===============================================================================================

All this changes shouldn't be too difficult to implement, and I'm sure most people would like to see them. Please give your opinions about it. And if any staff can say if they are working on this would be cool too. And please, remember I'm kinda new, so if any of this features is already implemented, please forgive me, just tell me and I will remove it.

***Colored Recipes***
At the top of the recipe tooltip there's a message that tells you whether a recipe is known or new, as well as having F5 to sift through your currently learnt recipes.

***More End-game statistics***
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/67857
I also would like to see more stats at the end of a mission, although I think it'd be better to make this an optional thing, as putting it as a mandatory board for every level would skew players attitudes too much.

***Enemy HP***
Tbh, this is largely unneccesary. Most players just plow through the enemies and through experience know roughly how long it'll take them to kill targets in most situations. Putting hp bars won't do much to change that. Also, don't forget that enemy hp changes based on your party size and your damage changes based on tiers, so enemy hp would appear wild and messy to look at as it changes radically each floor. It's "cleaner" to just leave it as is.

***Charge Cancel***
Personally, I think this was deliberately done for the very reason stated. Charging is risky business and being caught off guard is a punishment for trying to super attack your targets. Being able to just cancel and shield out of the charge defeats the concept of not being able to shield while you charge and forces you to consider when and where you charge. It also makes CTR more valuable to have as it reduces this risk.
However, bombers do get the short end of this stick, as instead of just releasing a regular attack like the other classes, they just kind of spazz out instead, which is a stage below what I described above, and further pointless risk and danger to the player that swords/guns don't have.

The twins stage is a HELL compared to the jelly king.
Actually, the majority of people see JK as harder than RT. Well, not "harder", but IMF is generally considered the easier of the two T2 bosses. Other than that, FSC pays more than JK as well, however most tier runs in general will pay very similar amounts. The idea is to reward you for completing bosses, but only very slightly so as to not completely discourage non-boss runs. Even FSC only pays marginally better than any regular T3 run.
However, SLs and DMs do underpay, imo. I would like to see some form of payment increase from them, although this needn't necessarily be in the form of cr.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

There is a little indicator that comes up, just beneath the title, that says either 'New Recipe' or 'Learned Recipe'.

Generally people join guilds in order to keep track of people better, although I admit it isn't perfect. However, I don't really find myself repeatedly going to the same merchant, since one person can't always do the best prices. Iunno, your lists all seem a bit too specific... although I think being able to add a short 20-character note next to someone's name would be a nice idea, just to keep tabs on who they are.

+1 to improved AH filtering depending on star level.

I take it you mean a clock for your own personal reason... it'd probably make it a bit easier to keep track of time, but since SK isn't generally fullscreen and most operating systems come with some kind of clock, it seems somewhat redundant.

+0.7? I'm not sure it's meant to be animated, but at any rate, the missing accessory bug in end-of-mission could do with a fix, yes. (Along with the mini portraits you get down the left hand side; they don't display separate eye shapes, either. Heresy!)

+1 to end-game statistics. Medics need love.

Enemy HP: Vanaduke would have a reaaaaally big HP bar which could cause issues by obscuring other parts of the screen (like lunging Slags). I'm not sure whether the usefulness of this would be enough to counter the possible hindrance of having another object on the screen blocking potential hazards.

+1 to charge cancelling. This would be an absolute godsend to bombers; at the moment, if you put up a bomb that you don't need, you've got a good few seconds just in order to put the stupid thing down again and get back to 100% movement speed, which is dangerous in certain situations.

+1 to better crown scaling.

If you cant remember who's who, they are not really your firends but random people you added for no reason.

That depends. There are

That depends. There are people who you add because you had fun talking to or had a fun run with, but don't speak to that often. Or you could have several people that you run FSC with, but when you're, say, starting a speedrun and need da pros to come with you, you don't want to accidentally invite the fresh-faced T3 player who's still using Cobalt and then have to awkwardly send him away.

In general I agree with you, but I wouldn't oppose a wee tooltip text box (such as Aureate suggested) to remind you specifically who each person is or what relation they have to you. After all, between guilds and friend lists, you can have a lot more contacts in game than you're used to irl.
