Welcome to the Enemies into Weapons thread! This thread is to collect ideas for equipment based on enemies (Example: A polyp spike shooting handgun).
Howler: Have you ever wanted to shoot a howlitzer? Probably not, but you'll still probably like this. Basically a handheld Howlitzer which can launch itslelf like Howlitzers do when they die for its charge attack. Deals shadow damage.
*** Howler: A handheld Howlitzer capable of propelling itself at enemies at great speeds.
**** Dark Howler: Don't be afraid of the dark. Be afraid of this being pointed at you.
***** Shadow Howler: Said to scream with the sorrow of a thousand lost souls.
***** Cursed Howler (branches off from the Shadow Howler): Being looked at by this is said to bring the bad luck associated with a black cat crossing your path while breaking 7 mirrors at once.
The Howler can shoot 1 shadow orb before reloading, the Dark Howler can shoot 3 shadow orbs at once in a spread before reloading and the Shadow Howler shoots 5 at a time quickly before reloading. The Cursed Howler is the same as the Shadow Howler except it deals less damage but also has a fair chance of causing Curse. The charge attack's homing capabilites become more accurate every new upgrade, similar to how a Howlitzer works with the tiers.
Retroder: Do you hate the Retrode's Beam attack? Of course you do. So you'll love the new Retroder! It allows you to shoot enemies from extremely long range, however it only has a charge attack, making it the first charge only gun.
** Retroder: The first attempt at making a laser pointer with retrode parts.
*** Mechtroder: Warning: Do not look at beam while firing. May cause permanent blindness,
*** Hotroder: An upgraded Retroder with added firepower. Used as a microwave by hungry knights.
*** Sleetroder: A "cooler" Retroder for freezing enemies where they stand. Doubles as a fridge.
*** Voltroder: Used by some to charge batteries, used by others to electrify enemies.
**** Geartroder (upgrade of Mechtroder): A Mechtroder upgraded with parts from an X-Ray
**** Blazetroder (upgrade of Hotroder): A Hotroder using magma as a fuel source.
**** Snowtroder (upgrade of Sleetroder): The result of a Sleetroder being merged with a Cryo Knight.
**** Amptroder (upgrade of Voltroder): A Voltroder that was "accidentally" plugged into the Ironclaw Munitions Factory's Energy Supply.
***** Metroder (upgrade of Geartroder): The ultimate in Retrode technology. Only stoppable by walls.
***** Incinetroder (upgrade of Blazetroder): A useful tool used by the Haven Rescue Services to save unfortunate knights trapped in solid ice.
***** Hailtroder (upgrade of Snowtroder): The most popular weapon for the Spiral Firefighters
***** Ohmtroder (upgrade of Amptroder): The first time the Ohmtroder was fired, it caused a blackout in Haven which lasted 3 weeks.
All of the retroders shoot a extremely long range laser that goes through enemies as their charge attack. The beam only stops when it hits walls or obstacles. The Mechtroder and upgrades deal more damage than the others although they lack the status effect. The Hotroder and upgrades have a certain chance of dealing fire, the Sleetroder and upgrades are certain to deal Freeze and likewise for the Voltroder and Shock.
Polyp Smasher: Ever wanted maces in Spiral Knights? Ever wanted to use polyps as weapons? Well now you have both! Seeing as there was a lack of big heavy piercing weapons, I decided to make this. Similar to Vanaduke's mace (except obviously much much weaker), it smashes the ground in front of it, dealing large damage. It has the attack speed of a troika but with piercing damage, making it stronger against fiends and beasts and weaker against jellies and constructs.
** Polyp Smasher: A remarkably strong mace, considering that it was made from a polyp.
*** Brute Polyp Smasher: A stronger Polyp Smasher renowned for being more violent than the former.
**** Spiked Polyp Smasher: A harder hitting mace. Now with added spikes.
**** Slick Polyp Smasher: A mace made from a polyp known for having a hot temper.
**** Silver Polyp Smasher: A polyp mace said to have an absolutely shocking attitude.
***** Royal Polyp Smasher (upgrade of Spiked Polyp Smasher): A regal weapon for those of noble ooze.
***** Fiery Polyp Smasher (upgrade of Slick Polyp Smasher): Some people just want to see the world covered in burning gel.
***** Mercurial Polyp Smasher (upgrade of Silver Polyp Smasher): If the impact doesn't kill you, then the electric shock will.
The Polyp Smasher looks like an unfortunate Polyp attached to a mace handle. You attack by swinging the Polyp downwards, hitting any enemies close enough. For its charge attack, the knight smashes the Polyp against the ground so hard, that spikes will pop out of the ground around it.
The two star smasher causes one spike to burrow out of the ground, the three star smasher causes three to appear in a frontal cone, the four star smashers cause 5 spikes to appear in a frontal cone and the five star smasher causes 9 spikes to appear around the area of impact in a circle. The Royal Polyp line does slightly more damage than the others, however it lacks a status effect. The Fiery Polyp Smasher can cause fire on enemies and the Mercurial Polyp Smasher can cause shock.
More to come!
