A brilliant (and friendly) new way to purchase CE

So you go to the auction house, and things cost crowns. What if you could instead, click a button and pay for them with real money?

This real money would then be translated into CE, and sold on the energy market. The leftover would be stored into a variable that, when it reached 100, would go towards the next auto-buy of CR from the energy depot. It would be the same as buying CE and translating it into crowns for use on the auction house, but it would imply to players that buying things from the auction house- especially things like hats and costumes and accessories- is the "done thing." It would not take any set ratio of crowns to CE, but would instead take the current buy price for crowns as the value of energy.

There are many applicable rules on when the button for CE could appear- for instance, you shouldn't be able to buy things that cost less than a certain amount of CE- for instance, an ecto drop for 10 cr shouldn't be buyable for a penny. It could possibly be used to create bids, although not necessarily- "Buy now with USD" is more my train of thought.

So my question to everyone reading this thread is:

In addition to your thoughts on the above paragraph, how often/how much CE do you buy, and would you consider utilizing this method of purchase, should a highly desirable item that you want show up?

During promos, getting random rewards will be more tempting.

Another problem is that the dollar-to-energy conversion varies depending on the pack.
It would be a shame if an item costs 3200ce while you could have had a small discount at 3500.

I'm sure there is a formula that could be put into play, and if there is not, a piecewise function could be created to compensate for the lack of one.

And there is no reason not to put promotions into such a system- if you make a purchase of X dollars, then you get Y items out of it.

There is most definitely a way to implement it.

Let me throw in my 2

Let me throw in my 2 cents.
Maybe I'm wrong, but if you where to sell items on the auction house for a certain price in USD, would that not mean that the price of theese items inside the auction house have to have a defined price to begin with?

Just to take the parrying blade as an example, at this year's halloween event, you could get parrying blades for 10k-20k CR, however as time passes and such items become more and more rare their price rises meaning that the average price they will cost in CR rises aswell, same goes for all the other costumes. Essentailly meaning that the price, if implemented, in USD sould increase aswell, otherwise the item becomes a common item rather than a rare.

It is an interesting idea in itself however, as said above implementing it for costumes/rares that have variable price will make the costumes/rares normal items for those that have the money to spend, and also as a secondairy consiquence, having a system that lets people purchase items with real money will essentally result in people buying items with real money and then selling those to people that only play with CR for more CR than the average value of those items, resulting in more profit for people that have money to spend, resulting in CR becoming less and less valuable because more CR is introduced to the system so basic value of CR drops down, essentially meaning that item value goes up because the average player has more CR to spend and in order for the market to counter this you get inflation.

About your question:
I took a nice long 2 month break from his game :D. Usually I buy 100-400 CE trough means of the CE market, and personally I like going through the trouble of making the items I use from 1/2 star because that way it makes me feel like I have put effort in crafting an item and essentially gives me the joy of being able to relate to the items I use a little bit more.

A fine day to you :3.
