So if I'm correct then all posts I've seen so far about the prize wheel have been rants and questions.
Well then I guess I'm here to provide a suggestion to improve this gracious option to obtain crowns, materials, etc.

It's simple really...move the option to go to Haven or to descend before rolling the prize wheel.

This way people who opt to go down will have the chance to obtain hearts, vials, crowns, materials, and lockboxes, while the people who want to go up will only get crowns, materials, or lockboxes.

I'm pretty sure no one who goes back to Haven wants useless hearts or vials...

The problem here is, on the floor before a boss, people won't want to go up before stepping on the elevator so another person can join, because they'll want their elevator roll. If you lessen the incentive to go on that elevator, people will be more happy to just head up to allow someone else to join before the end of the level.

It isn't possible for someone

It isn't possible for someone to know if they're right at the end of that floor... They can read that they are on the floor but not at what point. Thus making your point slightly invalid... it's a game of luck.

There is technically nothing wrong with the system. People can't use the elevator twice in a row..

Person 1 goes up Person 2 stays, Person 1 joins Person 2. Person 1 goes up elevator again.

That doesn't work...

So either way there isn't a problem with the system, if someone joins at the end of the floor and people are messing about then it's their own fault

Judging by the subject of your replies, I can presume that you didn't even understand my post.
Have you ever been in a party where some people want to fight the boss stage but the others just want to go up? How do you fight the boss with a full party if everyone, even people who are heading up, takes the elevator? You send the people who want to go up, up, before they step on the elevator, and invite other people down.

I don't agree with this... it's supposed to be a gamble.. not a Always win something good.

And judging by this one, it seems you didn't even understand the original post either.
He's suggesting for the roll to be placed after the decision to go up or down, instead of before. You're acting like he wants to remove vials and hearts from the roll completely.

I was saying even if people do go up, they should still be viable to get vials and hearts. Even though they would render useless it is part of the spin.

As for the previous point, thanks for explaining. I agree with that part.

I believe hearts are only given if you lost life while vials are only given if you have space to hold them.
The system rewards players that do things flawlessly.

I like it that way. Don't want hearts? Stop getting hit at the end of levels :P

And if I'm wrong, modify the system so it works that way.

Or they could always just, you know, go solo before heading back on the elevator.

Problem solved.

Going solo reduces the party's player limit by 1 for the duration of that floor.. So that means only 3 people can continue on to the boss.

I understand rewarding players for having full health and capsules at the end of a level, but it doesn't make sense to reward players for not using their vials... I'd see not making use of vials more as a failure than a sort of flawless execution to be rewarded.
