Right now i have an ash tail set, a twisted targe, a nightblade and an iceburst brandish.
The only reason why I crafted the nightblade was because the jelly's (Its hard for me to kill them) but now im about to get acces to T3 so i was wondering if I can get a better weapon (gun, bomb, sword) over the nightblade, I was thinking about getting a faust (I know its better the nightblade but I like the faust more) so which should I get? I dont mind crafting a 1* weapon I just want a good one.

PD: this is my first set.

Hello friend!

You can join the Skolverfest in Haven! The most power gear I find as a sword-man is a Skolver set, Gran Faust, Grand Flourish, Polaris and a Grey Owlite Shield. For you, I recommend getting a polaris as a gun and a sword like a faust. You should also get other weapons too, like grand flourish and Glacius.

Glacius is mostly a control

Glacius is mostly a control weapon get Gf,Polaris,Final Flourish and the Shivermist Buster for a little bit support. Now for Def gear you should get some shadow and Elemental gear as T3 missions require all types of gear so you might wanna gear up!

Don't listen to everyone telling you to go GF. If you like the style of the brandish lines, stick with nightblade. Also, if you're a charge user, go with a Nightblade, and Barbarous Thorn Blade, not Gran Faust/FF, as both of their charges are rarely viable options

Kasdriu, I have a detailed sword guide written for people in your situation. It gives a direct comparison between Acheron and Gran Faust, and it discusses your options in armor.

To respond directly to your points: If you like GF better than Acheron, then go with it. If you want to try other shadow weapons: Umbra Driver and Sentenza are your main options in guns. The other one is Biohazard, which is fun but weird. Dark Retribution is your main option in bombs. The others are Graviton Vortex, which is fun but weird, and shard bombs, which are not great.

Processing Thoughts of You Always

...you have trouble killing jellies?!

There, now someone said it. :B

Personally, I would stick with your Nightblade and Frostburst lines for now, but that would be merely out of cost purposes. The Faust recipes are only obtainable through Basil (or other players who've purchased them from Basil), which can make them prohibitively expensive for a first weapon.

You may want a flourish in there, just so you can switch your weapons out according to the situations - whilst wolvers and chromas aren't enough of a problem to warrant an extra weapon, trust me when I say that devilites and greavers are. The extra damage type will allow you to accomodate for all situations, so that you can deal more damage.

You'll probably also want a handgun in order to deal with turrets. Polaris and Supernova are good for turret-suppression, but poor at cooperative play, and are troublesome if used wantonly. The Antigua lines are easy to use, fast-firing and mobile, but have low damage per bullet, meaning you'll need to keep up a constant rate of fire in order to kill monsters with it. Drivers take more skill to use effectively, but are devastating in the right hands, and easily capable of OHKOing a turret in a single charge shot, if you're in a small party. I wouldn't recommend most other guns for your current purposes.

Depends, if you hate slow swords like me...

Well in my opinion, I like my Acheron better than GF because of its speed. The only thing I find beneficial in GF is the ability to cause the curse stats, but other than that, none. Personal opinion: Acheron charge > GF charge (heck it takes forever without CTR..:c) Although I do prefer GF for LD....

You'll always want an elemental sword so I'd stick with the Iceburst and upgrade it to a Blizzbrand and then Glacius. Alternate options would be voltedge (shock burst brandish) or Combuster (fire burst brandish) the only difference between the 3 of these brandish lines is the stats effect. Keep in mind that when you start doing FSC, combuster will not inflict any stats (fire) but it will still do the same amount of damage as the other swords. combuster is also a great sword for JK if you still plan on doing JK runs.

Like the others said, you may consider getting the flourish/Snarble barb line for piercing damage if you have trouble with Wolvers.

If you have extra weapon slots, go for a gun sidearm (I prefer the Antigua line for fast switch shooting..)
Your gear looks fine so far for a swordie ^^
