Sometimes I join a party for a boss run through the missions, then I get stuck with a bunch of noobs, but I spawn on the elevator and I am forced to go down. I don't like this because when I leave even while loading, 10 energy is taken from me, so I just want it so I spawn in the middle of the lobby, not on the elevator or where the leader is.

Technically, this issue can also happen if all the party members are on the elevator and you join them when the "descend or ascend" message appears on their screens. Last time it happened to me, I appeared next to the elevator, but had to go down. It's all just about bad timing. The whole "random party join" thing is your decision and risk.
But I support this idea.

I think that you mean that there should be a level suiting search for parties, and there is NO WAY to stop the elevator from going down when you join.
