Pretty sure no one said they would heal and certainly sure no one said they'd be used in PvP.
Lets place bets on which battle sprite will be [the most] OP
Either Drakon or Maskeraith... Poison people or pure dmg... who wants to buff when you can do instant-kill...
Healing is a type of buffing (which the sprite will do) and certainly sure no one said they wouldn't be used in PvP. It's all up in the air right now so please don't use the lack of evidence as evidence.
Nick has only stated that OOO has looked into using Sprites in PvP, it has not been confirmed at all. Your argument lacks major sense and is quite ironic. You're stating that Sprites will be in LD as a fact, which is contrary to your own statements.
Also, please, don't ever argue that something is true just because the opposite hasn't been proven. It's kind of like saying God must exist because no one has proven that they don't exist because no one is capable of searching all of the universe and possibly a few other universes that we might or might not be able to reach within the next 83 billion years.
Wait, you said this yourself.
Where can I find information about the battle sprites?
Page not found. Not sure if trolled.

My original post was intended to be a "ha-ha people will complain about them all" type of post, no information I gave was supposed to be factual, considering my ridiculously high "bet". The second post was made just to show Duke my point that they may actually go into LD, but yet again I stated "It's all up in the air right now". Nothing I've stated contradicts each other and my intention was never to start a fight (with random people I wasn't even referring to in the first place lol!)

First of all, the religious bashing- not cool. Never assume everyone here has your same views, because anyone else who doesn't should be offended by this. It makes more sense to believe in some type of culture rather than reject everything regardless; they at least provide a hope for the future. And in this case, the lack of evidence can be accounted for. We honestly don't fully know the specifics of battle pets, so I may be completely correct, partially correct, or completely wrong. It is NOT your place to deny my arguments- because there aren't many answers yet! Battle sprites are still under development, and yes, they may be used in LD or may not. You yourself said "OOO has looked into using Sprites in PvP, it has not been confirmed at all", which I know. Yet again, my original post was a type of "if.. then" statement intended only to be humorous and not have a group of ticked off (for what reason?) kids bashing me in the face for joking around.
"Wait, you said this yourself."
lolwut?
But seriously, why the hostility?
How about we just wait till the Battle Sprites are implemented to see how do they really work, and THEN we start complaining about them?
We don't really know anything at this point except the vague "dmg, buffs and debuffs", and even that might change a bit along the way ;)
Peronally, I'm a bit skeptic about the pet system, but I'm starting to be more and more curious. Let's just wait and see.
My bet is along the lines of 'whatever sets stuff on fire'. 2 cr.
@Fehzor People having to account uncontrollable KB into their strategy already happens. It's a Pulsar and there IS NO PLAN.
My bet is the cat because no one choose the other BS.
maybe the drake will have the damage of a Sudaruska with a good speed.
maybe the cat will get you a 500% bonus on whatever equip you and your teammate have.
maybe the masked thing will make you 1-hit-kill every monster.
it's too early to make decisions.
We all know enemeis have veeeery low health when soloing, to the point any weapon can kill in one combo without much damage bonuses. So Drake will win in this case.
Now in parties I hope they'll all be balanced.
Drakon will be as overused as Striker Boost and Combuster.
Seraphynx will be like Guardian Shield and Plate sets, seems good and looks cool but sadly is underpowered and/or useless in some way.
Maskeraith will be like recons and the poison status, extremely good if use correctly but everyone is too lazy to learn them.
So, OP? probably none of them. Or all of them. But I doubt any of them will be any more OP than another.
OP is in the eyes of the beholder, therefor I will not bet. We'll most likely see players calling all pets (especially in LD) OP repeatedly and they'll become the next hammers/polarises.
958945084935743857348573408 CE ON ALL PETS!
EDIT: Just saw [the most]. My argument still stands though, but I do believe the mew will be the most OP. Healing/buffing players that can already easily heal/buff themselves with gear? Um, no thanks.
