Well I know we already have DBB and Splinter Bomb lines... but just hear me out!

What if we had Spike bombs that were similar to giant lichen colony's attack where it charges in and makes spikes shoot from the floor?

And for a change we could have an elemental varient (we need more elemental bombs.) and have the elemental varient deal... freeze maybe?

It should do damage less than DBB being an alternative to it, but have a faster charge time (like DBB if it's charge time was shortened by a ctr med)

More detail:

Initial explosion: Small, the shape of a Lichen colony appears and has knockback but deals barely any damage. causes spikes to appear as if radiating from the center.

Spikes: Have knock back away from the spike itself, can push monsters into other spikes, 3 spikes at the most.

Low Walls: A spike cannot appear on a low wall or hard wall but one can appear beyond a low wall since a gun can shoot over it, as long as there is land to do so.
Hard Walls: A spike cannot appear in a low wall or beyond a hard wall (a wall you can't shoot past/over or a gate for example)
Shields: Shields function as had walls if they are facing the explosion of the bomb. for example a trojan facing the initial explosion would stop the ray of spike from appearing (like a branish charge attack.) however a bomb exploded by the squishy crystal part of the trojan would not effect the appearance of the spikes.

What? it produces rays of 3 spikes in 8 directions, easily avoidable. (commonly people are next to a Giant Lichen Colony and don't get hit by the spikes due to a small area)

Though I feel that it should be able to produce spikes beyone a low wall, i don't think it should be able to produce them in one or past a large wall or gate.

If it's like a true lichen colony, attackin in an X pattern, it shouldn't be weaker than DBB, even if it's slightly faster.
Well, unless it has a strong status.

I mean, by not being a perfect circle it covers way less area and might be tricky to aim.
Shard bombs "fix" this by letting multiple shards hit. Dunno if the same concept could apply to spikes

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

What about adding this effect to the splinter bombs?
