Does equiptment matter where you put it? I'm if I should get the vog cub helmet or armor or both. Not for FSC but just in general. I might mix this with chaos stuff.
Is this a good future plan or should I change this?

any wolver cap without wolver armor looks weird. However, wolver armor alone has awesome look, now if only they are not overused ;x
Well I was a gunner but now I'm planning on switching to be a sword user that uses the hammer and normal or another specialized damage sword like a flourish. Is there a place on the wiki I can go for a sword guide?
Im taking bits of information from both guides and then coming up with the items I want to get.
I've never heard of anyone observing a difference between the armor suit and helmet in a matched set. It doesn't matter which one you wear. Well, there is one exception: Divine Veil has a fiend bonus, while Divine Mantle does not. One of the demo sets used to have a mismatch, but that's been "fixed".
There are a few armor pieces with no partner. Perfect Mask of Seerus and the kat helmets don't have matching suits. Radiant Silvermail has no matching helmet. So if you want to use one of these, then plan carefully. For example, if you want to wear Seerus with Chaos, then it obviously has to be Chaos Cloak, not Chaos Cowl.
As you know, Chaos offers great offense and terrible defense. Also, both Vog Cub and Chaos protect against normal and elemental damage, with no piercing or shadow protection. So you'll be vulnerable to shadow-dealing monsters, which are some of the nastiest in the game (devilites, greavers, kats). You'll also be vulnerable to piercing-dealing monsters, which are among the easiest in the game.
In summary, if you're an advanced player who is good at manipulating the AI, knowing the spawn points, dodging, etc., then Chaos with Vog Cub is a powerful set. If you're less advanced, then consider something safer than Chaos, preferably with some shadow protection.
By the way, we could give you better advice if we knew more about what kinds of weapons you use: swords, guns, bombs, or a mix (which mix?).
