Well I've searched the wiki, and asked player but i needan opinion, whats the most common stats type in general that im gonna come across alot
Status Opinion
You mean for defense? You're trying to plan armor? For PvE or PvP?
In PvE, the most common is probably fire, because most people spend so much time doing Firestorm Citadel. But shock is more annoying than fire, and it immobilizes you, so that you can get killed very quickly. The same goes for freeze, especially if you play solo a lot. So I would say that the big three are shock, then freeze and fire in some order.
Curse is rare (phantoms and Gran Faust). Stun is fairly rare (lumber strikes, stun greavers). Poison is common but not as serious as shock or freeze. Sleep is no longer in the game.
Fire hurts most directly, but Shock and Freeze are very much more dangerous due to interfering with the defensive measures we live by. When you've got big heavy-hitting monsters that can break your shield, then Freeze might be worse, especially if there's only the big monsters that you could still easily outrun when shocked, but most of the time Shock is more dangerous since it can make it awfully hard to keep a safe distance _and_ it unpredictably blocks shield. ...AND it does a bit of damage on top.
It's probably a good idea to clarify what you want to use the information for. Besides "most common" and "most important" being important things to not confuse, it might be worthwhile to build a specialised FSC loadout. I don't mean to insult your intelligence, it's just that we humans seem to have an unfortunate tendency to ask questions that ought not be confused with the questions we really want the answers to.
Do not pick any piece of armour for the sake of freeze resistance. There is functionally very little difference between being frozen for 8 seconds and 16. An enemy will refreeze you or break you loose after 4 seconds anyway.
Eight seconds? Dang, that's a good point. Thanks! Freeze can be either a nuisance or a huge threat, but either way armor bonuses are very unlikely to make any difference for it, so Fire becomes more valuable than Freeze. (Is there anything that resists both Fire and Freeze?)
I should also have remembered that status resistance means something different on shields; from what I'm told, it simply reduces the damage of any incoming attack that has a chance to inflict the status effect that the shield has a bonus against. On armor, uh, I'm actually not clear on exactly what it does but it includes decreasing the duration and, if applicable, damage infliction. It might also decrease chance of infliction in the first place, but I've neither found a way to confirm this nor heard of any one else doing so, so take that bit with one of those water softener mineral pellet thingies.
For fire, both damage and duration is decreased.
For shock, damage is not decreased. Damage is instead defended against by elemental defence. Duration is decreased and I think shock spasms will be shorter. Don't quote me on that until I've scienced it better.
For freeze, duration is decreased. If thaw damage existed on knights, it is possible freeze resistance would help with the matter. I can science this comparing Triglav's thaw damage against Shivermist's.
For poison, duration is decreased and debuffs are less severe.
For stun, duration is decreased. I'm guessing you won't move as slowly, either, but that one I'm not certain about.
Yeah, like Zeddy said, the only resistances you should worry about are shock and fire. All of the others are either almost non-existant (curse), or not a problem. Stun can also be problematic, but isn't something that's likely to do you in like shock/fire are.
Most common is fire status if you going to farm FSC a lot. (most profitable mission).
2nd common and most annoying is shock status.
