So this might be sort of confusing at first but I usually like to throw what i think about on Forums sometimes.

Here's what it is,

You know that pretty piece of Dragon armor you have? With its elemental and Pierce protection but not much else in which it can help you in Lockdown??

Well What if we took that Beast damage Med it has and ONLY WHILE IN LOCKDOWN make it so that it does more damage to people who are wearing pierce defensive armor?

May or may not be confusing but in a general sense we are taking the Clockwork buff and giving it some reason to be in Lockdown.

What does this mean?

Well, in hindsight

Beast and Fiend bonuses would transfer into Attack bonuses against Pierce armor users

Undead and Construct would transfer into Attack bonuses against Elemental armor users

Gremlin and Slime would transfer into Attack bonuses against Shadow armor users

Now there are some hitches with this, would it be for weapons as well?

Ex: BTB with Beast and Fiend both high or max, how would this affect your attack power?

Honestly im not to sure about how this would work whether it would easily become OP or not, I just found it to be an interesting idea. Please give it some thought. Im not one that's good with damage tables or how much Extra or so damage this would give or not, again its an idea i randomly came up with and before losing threw on the internet for discussion.

* Would it be something game changing?
* Would it Get OP if it could use weapons UV's?
* How Would this affect your game play in Lockdown?

Please tell me what you think.

I think you've got it set up wrong...

For example, a Construct bonus does extra damage to things that are weak to elemental.
Yet, your Construct bonus deals extra damage to things that are strong against elemental.

I'd give an opinion about Lockdown balance, but I parade about with MSI med whenever I play. I doubt I'm qualified to discuss Lockdown.

I had this idea a while back about family bonuses in LD, but I never got around to fleshing it out and posting it. I do remember thinking about classifying armors in families. Ex. Wolver/Chroma = beast, merc demo/plate = construct, skelly = undead, jelly/quicksilver = slime, magic = gremlin, angelic = fiend. Those are the first ones that sprang to mind, maybe there would be more.

As for the damage bonuses, they should work the same way they do in PvE - if you have family bonus + weapon bonus = more than max, you just do max damage.

@Possiblespy

The only reason in which i state that Beast UV's Should do more damage to someone wearing Piercing defense is because if i think of a Wolver and the Wolver Coat line, Wolvers basically are wearing "Wolver Coats" or so i would like to imagine, almost like an Indian Wearing a Wolfs Pelt, A Knight is Wearing a Wolvers "Pelt" Which we know as the Coat.

All this leads me to is that in fact the wolvers coat is susceptible to Pierce even if the games Stats say otherwise, in any case its the less confusing way to put it in terms instead of saying that Construct deals better damage on pierce armor because this would mean Gremlin as well does more damage on Pierce armor, in my setup its best to have two families that can do damage to Pierce rather then Four (Construct, Gremlin, Undead, Slime). Otherwise any weapon could do damage without being too specific.

@Klipik-Forum

I agree whole Heartedly with you on a Set Maximum, the thing to me is though, i almost feel like its another added being it does damage specific to type (Pierce, Shadow, Elemental) unless you mean for this way as well. So it would be like armor almost where max could add 2bars or so of Shadow damage to the weapon in LD. But this would still give way for more extra if say i had both beast and Gremlin (respectively maxed) both 2 Pips one shadow one Pierce. But then again im treading unknown territory to myself in how damage tables and the amount of Pierce, Shadow, Elemental that is given ontop of the weapon along with lets say Damage bonus from a trinket how would that stack being shadow damage is a differ from overall.

Just something i find conflicting. Sorry if its hard to understand at all what ive written im not one that stays up to late.
