first ... sorry for my bad english

Normally ... A dungeon Placed in the depths of the cradle ... but because every planet have a core ... a limitation happens ,and that make players get bored ... now , my idea is how about height dungeon? a dungeon that placed in the skies of the cradle ?

The "Sky cradle" Have bosses too ... bosses may appear every 5 height ... the sky cradle have 16 heights and the 16th height is the outer space barrier that will not let knights Proceed ... just like the core . in the space barrier . there is a locked elevator similiar to shadow lairs gate but it's needs 2 silver key to open ... that elevator will let knights to go to Chaos world .A place that looks like Sky Dungeon but have a "Mess"/ chaos in the dungeon . the monsters will get evolved and gets stronger because the chaos . the chaos world just have only 10 Heights and only 1 bosses .

name of the areas:
Gremlin territorial(Height 1 - 5)
-Gremlin territorial - wild forest (the monsters is only Beast family)
-Gremlin territorial - abandoned City (Monsters:Beast )
-Gremlin territorial - Gremlin City (Monsters : Darkfang gremlins & gremlin vilagers)
-Gremlin territorial - Castle's Fortress (Monsters :Darkfang Gremlins , Tier 3 Gun puppy)
-Gremlin territorial - Gremlin Castle (Monster :just a bit of Darkfang gremlins , tier 3 Gun Puppy ,and 1 Gremlin Boss tinkizar?)

Valkyries Forest (Height 6 - 10)
-Valkyries forest - Serenity Village (no monster ... this is a Checkpoint town just like moorcroft/emberlight)
-Valkyries forest - Disruption forest (T2 Wolvers ... but with more frequent attacks)
-Valkyries forest - Wild Beasts (T3 Wolvers ... but with more frequent attacks)
-Valkyries forest - Chaos Wild Forest (T3 Wolvers ... but with more frequent attacks & Dammage)
-Valkyries forest - The Forest deffender (Vandal Lumber ... a T3 Giant lumber with 2 Axe hands )

Gremlins Town (Height 11 - 15)
-Spiral Recon ranger's camp(no monsters . a checkpoint)
-Gremlins Town - chaos fortress (T1 Gremlins , T1 Gun Puppies , T1 Constructs)
-Gremlins Town - The Chaos town (Gremlin vilagers ... just like thwacker but with no Weapon .but they can still attack ... they defends everywhere around the map and they are Many)
-Gremlins Town - the castle (T3 Gremlins,T3 Gun Puppies , T3 Construct)
-Gremlins Town - The Gremlin's Venom (Herex?)

The space - the path is Closed(Height 16)
-The space - the path is Closed(None)

Tokens:
-royal token
-Valkyries steel
-Chaos Module

Weapon:
-royal Bomb (5 Star... 10 royal tokens... A full normal dmg weapon With slow speed)
-royal Guard (5 star shield ... 15 royal tokens ... a 1/2 full all dmg resist shield)

We go down because we need to open the core. In fact, dungeons are created around it to trap those that want to access it.

What would be the purpose behind sky dungeons and why would we want to go there?

lore could be of a space barrier that prevents us to leave. you know, it's useless to take off if you can't go out.
anyway, this thing would fit in the gigant bar that is at the poles of cradle.

Hmm...

Maybe A NPC in the core say that gremlins have plan to attack haven from the "Sky dungeon" ... and only one way to make the islands go down is by inserting Minerals from the Outer space barrier

The only problem I could find with that thunder is how would we have reached cradle in the first place then? Wouldn't we have hit the barrier?

Are knights that evil? maybe

But thunder if we take the core then Cradle will stop turning. If it stops turning then gravity will take over. If gravity takes over then all the clock work levels, the whole damn planet will collapse onto it self and kill almost every thing. The only thing that will have SLIM chance of surviving will be the things on the surface and even they are pretty much done for.
Is the spiral order THAT evil?

1 if you are that ma to take all the energy from the core, you deserve annihilation.
2 we don't need all the power of the core to restore one spaceship, but opening a breach would lead others in, so it's better not. or not returning.

But aside from that... Why would we, as knights, go here? It's completely switching our objective from getting the energy from the core and leaving Cradle. And how have we not seen this big thing floating in the sky before?

the skylark had only initiated a intial scan on the surface on cradle. since the barrier doesn't stop intruders from coming but it stop them from coming back, we didn't notice until it made it crash.

Floating Things...

The dungeons are made by gremlins technology that allows island to float in the sky ... and they plan to attack haven and only way to stop it is only with inserting mineral to the space station things ... if gremlins succesfully attack haven and kill the knights that meants not just can't back home ... you're died too in haven

That's the reason why we need to go to the space Station

Any one else find it kinda funny how the only reasons why the gremlins hate Haven is because the Strangers are housing almost all the knights there? x3
It is almost as if WE made that problem for them.

The purpose to insert mineral there is for make the floating island's energy down ... so it will get falling from the skies . if you have'nt do that ... gremlins will caught you and your spaceship with their Technology

BTW ... how about the weapon ... is it OP?

Basically a tower? Why not filled with golems and giant hawks as bosses while having devilites and greavers roam the place? A fee of 5 energy per floor should do, since staircases can be tiring, especially it it's a long one.

I gave you lore and you ignored me. now it feels like the other suggestion. great job. will you please see the answer from Lug on the other thread?
besides, weapons.
royal bomb is basically nitrome, find another bomb.
royal guard could be useful.
valkyrie blade is a no. that ability is the second ability of seraphinx, go check it out.
valkyrie trinket is a meh. how is it supposed to be more useful than heart pendants?
chaos blade is a no. ok glass cannon, but that is too OP.
and give numbers please, you can get some data form the wiki.

thanks waffle to encourage new content.
anyway.
again, go get some numbers from the wiki, bars are nothingness.
royal bomb is too spammable to be royal. less speed, more damage.
valkyrie sword is OP (but again, go get numbers)
chaos sword is just chaos, it's OP. health removing is useless, see heart trinkets (and what they did to striker in LD). and please don't buff the monsters with your sword, it may be OP but that's not the way to balance.
EDIT: I find myself agreeing with waffle, this will naver make it into the game. add randomnbess at the heights and you'll get a chance.

@Jasf: You should learn more about how the game works before suggesting something of this scale. Try reading this for a start:

And yes, your idea is still unbalanced and illogical.

@Thunder-The-Bright

There is a difference between discouraging good content, and discouraging bad content.
If some thing has no GOOD reason at the current moment of the game to be added it is a waste to add.
If the thing has no BAD reasons and some MEH reasons to add, it is neither bad nor good. It is simply a suggestion.
If the thing is to BALANCE or FIX an issue then it is a good suggestion.

Skypillars?

But still the fact is, this suggestion is to give knights a new place to fight mobs instead of mucking about within the depths of the clockwork hells.
Not that that's a bad thing, But I find skyworks to be quite refreshing after reaching the end and then being turned back due to a certain "Locked Core"

Now then, A sky barrier seemed pretty logical for a sky clockwork, but then how did the skylark make it through the barrier? Did we tear a hole through the sky on our way in? Lolz.

Maybe Towers that accend into the heavens would be a better place for a Sky dungeon. would make sense for elevators.

"These towers were built by the gremlins as a way to view the stars, due to their technical inability to build spacecraft. but as time rolled on and the gremlin society went into civil disarray. These incompleted towers were fitted with the largest cannons that gremlins could make and placed at the very top due to the fact that the technology to continue the construction was lost.
these soon to be Space elevators became anti-orbital cannons. the very same that brought down the Skylark.

Now the knights must travel up these towers to deactivate the weapons before making their hasty escape."

Had to do this. It might make it waffle, or it may not. You gotta give it Faith man.
By the way, What in cradles name happened to the SKYLARK? did it Disentagrate on impact? or are we NEVER going to find the wreck of our ship that we need to fix?

And WHERE IS OUR RESCUE? surely we arn't Space nomads banished from our home!!! ...Are we?
there should be someone looking for us knights!

@warp ... your idea seems very usefull ... but what about the spaceship go broke the barrier with it's speed and the barrier re-generate it'self
about random levels ... player that passed height 1-5 can go instantly to height 6 and so the other heights

We could make this an add-on

We could make this an add-on to the story. Say the locked core must be unlocked by some sort of control room at the very edge of space. I like Warp's Idea of the orbital cannons, so They can Also be a part of your mission as you head up. When you Get to the control room, you have to face some sort of Mega-boss. something hard. When you beat that, you unlock the core, and head back down. the core itself is one final level. and it's TIMED, because your suits can only withstand the heat for so long. Or there could be 'cool areas' where the knight has to get inside every minute or so to avoid melting. Anyways, there is one final boss thats incredibly hard. or it could be you having to face re-incarnations of all or most bosses you've faced in the clock/sky works. If you beat them, you finally can leave the planet, and you can come back whenever you like.

It does need some sort of ending....

Or does it?

Why stop there? Design a new world, Neighbor to Cradle!! Skylark is sent to explore it!

why is everybody obsessed with "finishing" the game, oppening the core and leaving cradle, if then we land of another planet which is the same?
Solace, you can't say hard boss and stop. elaborate. as for timed missions or areas, idea it's good but details.
as for the last boss, nope. we could recycle moves ect, but it would need bosses with special moves, and hard bosses, which we don't have, for now.

So there's a sense of

So there's a sense of progress. Which SK is currently lacking once you get to the core.
Games die because people lose interest. giving them somewhere to progress to will make it a better experience And makes them play longer.

and opening the core seems a fitting idea.
yes, endgame is unsatysfying in a way, but what should keep here people (or make them come back) are mysteries. I mean echo stones. and other lore flaws that OOO could use as an advantage.

giving them somewhere to progress to will make it a better experience

yes, provided that you have new content to explore. we don't, and that's why we are suggesting. but the core means the end of the story. I don't think there is a possible way to give a proper "ending" to the game without adding something beyond the core. OOO has attempted with the swarm, and personally I think that they should stay that way. becuase getting on other planets will mean only new grinding, since the game (or better, the gamers) are shaped in this way. it would get boring again.

point still stands; I don't think that that will be the end of the story, NPCs will continue saying "you have not gathered enough energy, keep it up!".
but really, I like fezhor's idea.
