Idea - Sky Clockworks (Graveyarded)

I have an idea for a new array of the Clockworks -- with a twist. The Sky Clockworks is an ancient, yet tremendous, sky temple. It was originally from the original people of Cradle from long ago -- way before the Skylark crashed on Cradle. The Sky Clockworks would be covered by moss, cracked stone, and occasionally filled with monsters that still inhabit the very floating island above Cradle. Though a strange, yet unknown power source that is not as much as the Core, but yet treasures await in that very power source, filled with swords, guns, shields, Crowns, armor, helmets, and even a bit of Energy. But the Sky Clockworks is very large indeed -- maybe larger than the Clockworks. Amass the entire temple are 2x the Clockworks, filled with enemies from the clockworks, but elements are twisted, or at least random. Caution yourself on the very temple -- but since its large, and very old, the elevators there are broken -- instead of 10 Energy, you would pay 5 Energy, due to the Sky Clockworks tremendous size. Crowns are somewhat less valuable than the present crowns on Cradle, and natural physics don't apply 1/2 of the time. The Sky Clockworks almost touches space -- should you find yourself at a twisted version of Lord Vanaduke or some other boss -- either way, it seems a good challenge for 3-star Knights. Weapons there are really powerful -- half of the treasures are 5-star weapons. Others are 2, 3, and 4 star treasures. Tokens are more valued by traders and Knights, yet somewhat being able to be traded. There are ruined, but still working, Energy posts scattered around the temple.
- Adventure on an unknown temple in the sky.
- Find treasure, and maybe even Energy.
- Defeat the ancient evils in the temple.
- Save Haven, and even Cradle, from a threat from the sky.
- A place where low-levels can finally rise in the ranks
- Available missions for Rank 5's and above.
- New Mission selection, called " Ancients " ( reply if you know a better name )
- More Priestage, harder levels.
- Silver and Shadow keys scattered about the temple randomly - look all around!
- Find the Alpha Team -- trapped in scattered cages through bosses.
- Boast about your adventures in the Sky Clockwork Temple.
- More people in your team. ( max. 8 )
- Enjoy a awesome adventure.
( This was only an idea, it is not available in Spiral Knights yet. )
This was Ultimatesonic, over and out.

Cheap dungeons (5ce) that double the size of the real game, designed mainly for 3* people that also give 5* equipment and keys as treasure and for some reason has the alpha squad, wich allegedly entered the core according to their messages.
Bascially, "lets grab all we have now and turn it into garbage"
You also talk about new adventures, mosnetrs and weapons, but all you gave is a name and lcoation: "sky temple floating above the planet"
No actual suggestion. Just propaganda
I could complain even more, but I want to elave some for the rest of the forumers. And I'm half-drunk.

Sounds like a great idea! So is this gonna be a series of mazes?

I agree with Juances, though the setting is nice. Everything else sounds, in my opinion, terrible to implement (namely the treasure drops and gate cost)

I forgot to mention that, thank you.
Spike Jellies - randomized with different types of elements.
Wolvers - randomized as well, but most of the time inflict Fire.
Gremlins - Really hyper, strangely no bombers and Gremlins would follow you until you reach the elevator, while they would try to attack the player.
Snarbolax at the first half of the temple, but can inflict the status Fire, but lasts longer.
King Jelly at the second half of the temple, but inflicts Shock.
Roarmolus Twins at the third half of the temple, but inflicts Poison.
Lord Vanaduke at the end, but inflicts a randomized Status affect.
And all the other monsters that afflict randomized status affects since I keep forgetting the rest of them...
All the monsters deal 2x damage, so thats basically why its made for 3-star knights and higher.
The Sky Clockworks are suppoused to be a twisted version of the Clockworks, so thats why the broken-down elevators only cost 5 Crystal/Mist Energy each.
Ultimatesonic, over and out.

I am sorry, but I have the average mind of a 11 year old. I am not that creative on occasion, but I can try to fix these issues.

Edited for your occasion.
- Gates will cost 10 CE, 15 CE, or 20 CE on vote.
- 3-star weapons will pop up in every room, 75% of the time.
- 4-star weapons have a 50% chance to pop up on the third half of the temple.
- 5-star weapons have a 25% chance to pop up on the 4th half.
- Crowns have a 75% chance on being dull and give half the price of the present crowns in the original Clockworks.
- Sometimes you'll get recipes instead of weapons 50% of the time... which seems good enough.
- Bosses will drop more valuable loot - either recipes or actual items.
I have edited these things. Hopefully you'll enjoy it more.
Ultimatesonic, over and out.

I will share the story of the Sky Clockworks on Juances occasion.
The Sky Clockworks was a used-to-be busy temple in the sky, owned by the so called "Ancient Knights" which were a totally advanced civilization before the Spiral HQ was set up. The Ancient Knights lived under constant attack by the Gremlins, and had enough of it when the Gremlins destroyed half of the Core for the Sky Clockworks. The Ancient Knights decided to end this, and sent almost all of the Knights they had.
Wrong choice.
The Ancient Knights almost went extinct when every single soldier they sent were destroyed by a so-called device called "Roarmolous", which was a prototype of the Roarmolous Twins. The Ancient Knights evacuated Haven when the Skylark crashed, thinking more hostiles were coming to end them. They forgot the treasures that were left at the very top -- left to rot. A few Ancient Knights stayed, but were trapped in some rooms. Records from the first floor say that the Alpha Team went through here -- but not sure where they went.
Now your Knights crash on Cradle.
It is up to you to find the so called "Sky Clockworks"
Your Mission: Find the Alpha Team on the Sky Clockworks and find out what in the world caused the Ancient Knights to evacuate Haven.

I had a few spicy chicken nuggets before this thread.
In case that influences my reactions.
Pull up a chair and sit next to me while we read this together. Not on my lap. Get your own chair.
"I have an idea for a new array of the Clockworks -- with a twist."
Does it involve a sister?
"The Sky Clockworks is an ancient, yet tremendous, sky temple. It was originally from the original people of Cradle from long ago -- way before the Skylark crashed on Cradle. The Sky Clockworks would be covered by moss, cracked stone, and occasionally filled with monsters that still inhabit the very floating island above Cradle."
Since when was an ancient temple floating over our heads? How do we get up there? Why are we going up there? Because messing with old stuff is fun? Who built it? Gremlins? They built the Clockworks we use now, but why and how did they build the same thing in the sky? If there is another Clockworks in the sky, how does that work? The existing version works because it goes underground to the very center of the planet. How far does this sky version go? Outer space? How many gremlins had to implode in space to build it? Why do you want gremlins to implode painfully in space? To mess with old stuff?
"Though a strange, yet unknown power source that is not as much as the Core, but yet treasures await in that very power source, filled with swords, guns, shields, Crowns, armor, helmets, and even a bit of Energy."
So we could detect an energy source at the very center of the planet, undoubtedly surrounded by dense metals and what not which would get in the way of detection, but we completely missed the obvious flying Clockworks derping around in space. Oh, and it also has a bunch of equipment which just happened to be stored there while those imploded space gremlins from earlier were moving to a better neighborhood. Something about death not being the best way to live.
"But the Sky Clockworks is very large indeed -- maybe larger than the Clockworks. Amass the entire temple are 2x the Clockworks, filled with enemies from the clockworks, but elements are twisted, or at least random."
Do you know how planets work? You have the planet, this big kind of spherical thing that floats around in space. Space is pretty big. So the circle thing has a lot of solid materials to it, you know, like rocks and metals and stuff. Stuffy stuff. Stuff you can poke. Stuff you can headbutt. Stuff you can urinate on to mark your territory. Keep all that in mind, especially the territory part. Inside that big lump of stuff you can have stuff inside of it. Stuff inside stuff. If you go away from the stuff, into space, you go into a void which goes on for a really long time with nothing except other lumps derping around in space. Keeping up? Now imagine, watching one of those lumps close enough to be pulled down from gravity yet not because nothing has to make sense in fiction, twice the stuff which is made of the same kind of solid stuff as in the lump of stuff it is not sitting on or in yet is somehow floating out there. Oh hi stuff. What are you doing up there? Come down here and be stuff with the rest of the stuff.
"Caution yourself on the very temple -- but since its large, and very old, the elevators there are broken -- instead of 10 Energy, you would pay 5 Energy, due to the Sky Clockworks tremendous size."
So an old and broken elevator system takes less energy to power than the normal and well cared for Clockworks. Why? Because the thing is old? Are you making fun of the elderly? Does your grandpappy know about this? What about grandmammy? How about dinosaurs? Do dinosaurs know you are making fun of them right now?
"Crowns are somewhat less valuable than the present crowns on Cradle, and natural physics don't apply 1/2 of the time."
Somewhat less valuable. What does that mean? What if you just took derpbillion crowns from this space-sky-flying-spaghetti-thing, brought it down to the surface, and it suddenly has more value? Or does it have less value down here than up there because there are merchants up there? Why are there crowns up there? Imploded space gremlins got into banking? Why do physics not work? Because this is in space? With all the imploded space gremlins floating around?
"The Sky Clockworks almost touches space -- should you find yourself at a twisted version of Lord Vanaduke or some other boss -- either way, it seems a good challenge for 3-star Knights."
Oh, so it almost touches space yet physics are broken. Because stuff is going on in the sky. Sky stuff. Why is there another Vanaduke up there? Because making new content for new content is stupid, but recycling old content even though we already have Shadow Lairs is better? Why are 3* knights fighting a T3 boss when T3 is supposed to be 4*+? Because you are a 3* knight and want to advance without having to play through what the game currently is? No, playing the game to play the game, that is the stupidest thing ever. We should all have pissing contests over the edge of the Emberlight city to see how far we can go.
"Weapons there are really powerful -- half of the treasures are 5-star weapons. Others are 2, 3, and 4 star treasures. Tokens are more valued by traders and Knights, yet somewhat being able to be traded. There are ruined, but still working, Energy posts scattered around the temple."
Weapons are powerful, you get high star rated items without having to work for them. How does that make them powerful? Weapons are already powerful. Oh, wait, I forgot; you are a 3* knight who wants to get to 5* without working for it. Well stick a pair of tapeworms up my nostrils and play some country for them to dance to. Somehow tokens are more valuable and are apparently up there, because a Clockworks in the sky should be the exact same thing as the one we already have but you get 5* equipment from drops all the time so no one has to play the game longer than an hour before getting everything then quitting forever to find a real game to entertain them.
Ready for the final stretch?
"Adventure on an unknown temple in the sky."
If it were possible to liquify Nicholas Cage and inject him directly into your veins, I would do it. In your eyeballs.
"Find treasure, and maybe even Energy."
Ohboygoshgollygeetiddlywinks, treasure. What kind of treasure? The treasured kind. Also, even though you spend energy to access these floors, you get energy pack for spending energy. How balanced does that sound? You get all kinds of treasured treasure treasurably to get the entrance fee refunded so you can feed inflation until the price of CE is well over 1,000,000Cr:1CE within a week. That sounds like the best thing since sliced ham.
"Defeat the ancient evils in the temple."
Oh no, evil. What kind of evil? The evil kind. No, even better, the elderly and evil kind. Making fun of old people again.
"Save Haven, and even Cradle, from a threat from the sky."
They may not be doing anything and have been derping around completely unnoticed for years, but they must be a threat because they are different from us and must be bad and evil and killed. That sounds familiar.
"A place where low-levels can finally rise in the ranks"
You know, that makes me think. Where can low ranked players ascend through the ranks with easy to access assignments which also give them free stuff? Oh, I know. Missions. In the Clockworks. You know, that thing with the stuff.
"Available missions for Rank 5's and above."
Is rank five supposed to be "new"? That should be around "I at least know a little what I should be doing and if I met a newb fresh from the camp I can help them because I am about half done with the whole rank thing, but what the liquids".
"New Mission selection, called " Ancients " "
Ohboyg- I already used that joke. So this is a mission named after something kind of relevant to how it looks but has absolutely no detail to how any of it works at all whatsoever. Remember how those tapeworms in my nostrils used to dance to country? Now they commit suicide because of how stupid this is getting. Are you happy? You made my nasal tapeworms commit suicide.
"More Priestage, harder levels."
People can already generate infinite prestige over time. How much time? Doing the three prestige things available every single day in every weak in every month in every year in every decade in every centur- Prestige is irrelevant. What about harder levels? How hard are they? Harder than the armor on Roarmulus? What about the mask Vanaduke hides his eyeballs behind? How about those giant metal bars gremlins keep dropping in paths? Is it easier to bend those?
"Silver and Shadow keys scattered about the temple randomly"
"Hey Three Rings, I know these two keys are huge sources of money for you, but now everyone is getting them for free." Imagine their reaction. You would be thrown out of a third story window within seconds.
"Find the Alpha Team -- trapped in scattered cages through bosses."
Alpha Squad is inside the core of the planet. You know, that thing at the core of the planet. That means inside the planet. Inside the giant thing of stuff. We already went over how stuff works. Stuffily.
"Boast about your adventures in the Sky Clockwork Temple."
"Hey guys, I just did that thing with the stuff in space. It gave me a bunch of free really valuable stuff for doing some other stuff."
"What kind of stuff?"
"You know, stuff stuff."
"You mean like stuff stuff? The kind of stuff with stuff?"
"Totally, bro."
"Tubular, bro. We should, like, stuff tapeworms up our nostrils and dance to some country."
"Far out, bro."
"More people in your team. ( max. 8 )"
Ladies and gentlemen, please be seated. The event is about to start. Tonight we will treat you with a classic masterpiece, 'Ode to Lag'. We have two knights playing the Nitronome, another two playing the Irontech, another two playing the elegant Big Angry, and four playing the masterful Pulsar. If your connection is not absolutely perfect and sterilized of any trace of lag you will spontaneously combust within ten seconds of the performance beginning.
"Enjoy a awesome adventure."
Did you say awesome?
Well.
Well.
When you put it that way.
I guess I better find that really big knife in the kitchen and visit the local elementary school. I wonder how many are curious of how I clean it so well. Maybe even let them try it out for themselves. Their newfound interest in dining ware is to die for.
"3-star weapons will pop up in every room, 75% of the time."
"4-star weapons have a 50% chance to pop up on the third half of the temple."
"5-star weapons have a 25% chance to pop up on the 4th half."
Do you know how many rooms there are in the average floor, assuming these have the same floor layouts as the existing Clockworks? Many. Do you know how many free 3* equipment that is? A lot. I should have a little fun with the 4* and 5* drop rates but that would be like laughing at those tapeworms who killed themselves earlier. Do you get some kind of sick pleasure from this? You make me seem like the most generous person around here. At least I let the innocent tapeworms live. In my nostrils. While dancing to country. Since when do I like country?
"Crowns have a 75% chance on being dull and give half the price of the present crowns in the original Clockworks."
Why have crowns in there at all if the equipment drop rates are so absurdly high? People can just vendor the equipment since it would be worthless when everyone has twenty of every single item of every single star rank.
"Sometimes you'll get recipes instead of weapons 50% of the time... which seems good enough."
Have you seen your own drop rates? Do you know what recipes do to our economy? Sink the energy price. Do you know what you are doing? Making the CE market a million crowns for one measly CE. One. Not two, not one hundred, just one.
"Bosses will drop more valuable loot - either recipes or actual items."
Bosses already give tokens for defeating them. They also already have the chance to drop equipment. It may not be as stupidly high as you want, but the possibility is still there.
I almost want to apologize to Blandaxt for being disgusted by his threads. In comparison between you and Blandaxt, the little booger deserves to be Ozlo for a day. This thread is definitely the absolute worst thread I have ever seen and I have been significantly amused in making this post to discuss every feat-
Wait, I forgot one last thing:
"All the monsters deal 2x damage, so thats basically why its made for 3-star knights and higher."
Maybe one or two people are going to get this reference.
Double the damage of what? My pants?
Thank you, you have been a lovely audience. You can stop throwing tomatoes now. I will be here all week. Good knight folks.
While people are reading all that I have a few things to say before I go back to my apartment in hell. This thread offers no creative content, only taking what we already have and making rewards drastically high with stupid counterbalances like "double their damage derp herp". Do you think that would work for the normal Clockworks? People tried suggesting that. They were beaten, eaten, and then a gang of kittens came and did both those things over again. This thread makes absolutely no sense. You have the Clockworks, a complex system which absolutely needs to be in the planet to be plausible. floating above our heads. Magically. And it can be twice the twice the size of its counterpart. In space. Magically. The drop rates for equipment are definitely the worst part and have no reason to be there. Things already drop free stuff, what more do you want? More free stuff? To stuff up your nostrils?
Even if you get rid of this thread I am going to save this post. I am going to print this post and put it on my mantle in a frame. Anyone who comes by is going to ask me to flush the thread down the toilet like most people would with the same kind of stuff (stuffy stuff) then I will slap them with the corpses of the tapeworms you made commit suicide.

Are the treasure drops bound? These seem like an alternative to Shadow Lairs except for 3 star knights.
"All monsters deal 2x damage"
Elsword reference?

Please, do not spam your inappropiate posts on here. I do not appreiciate bullies.

Well I do not appreciate stupidity.
It gives me the runs.
I was on the can for the past hour.

"I do not appreiciate bullies."
If you're using the term 'bullies' so loosely, you clearly don't know what it means.
Google it.
Also, although Lug may be silly or rude, he knows more about this game than you, or even I do. And I sure know more than you.
And he's right; the better part of this suggestion is absurd.

Luguiru, I do believe that that big post has made up more than half of this thread.
/applaud

I still want to print it out along with the rest of this thread and hang it somewhere.
Maybe on my bathroom door. Or over the toilet.
"Please, do not spam
your inappropiate posts on here.
Oh, that makes more sense. How dare I be inappropriate with silliness. We have orthodox, with you and everyone else. Then we have unorthodox with all the non-clones. Then we have most unorthodox, where I sit alone in the corner in a straightjacket mumbling happy songs.
I do not appreiciate bullies."
Well, when you put it that way.
No appreiciation for bullies. And bulls. Those male bovines. How dare they have horns, and charge at waving red capes in an arena with some guy in tights and a silly mustache. They ought to be outcasted to the most unorthodox island with me. Give me someone to talk to. Then I can headbutt them into burgers and have a fantastic barbecue where no one else is invited. The delicious aroma may wander over to your orthodox island, but the only way to join me would be to become most unorthodox. Hobba jobba wobba.

> Purgatory Asylum, How can I help you?
- (me) I think I have found your escaped patient.
>Name?
-Um... is it Luguiru?
>(Sounds of screaming in background)
-Hello?
>RUN! Just RUN!
-Why?
>He's too dangerous. Run while you still can!
-What's the big deal about one patient?
>One patient is fine, unless it's Luguiru.
-What's so bad about him? He's just one person.
>It isn't about him. It's about what he did.
-What did he do?
>(Connection Breaks)

With the power invested in me by the nation of derp, I present to Luguiru the "Best Post of the Year" award.

I know what a bully is.
A bully is a person that acts mean against another person, sometimes involving physical attacks or shouting words at the other person. In this case, Lugi was posting just irritatingly rude comments on this post, and I clearly did not expect that. Oh, and some people call him the "Grinch". Figures.

Yeah, but a 'bully' does it repeatedly. Once or twice would just be being mean.
Not to mention you coupled it with 'spam'.
"Oh, and some people call him the "Grinch". Figures."
...Uh, huh. Haters gonna hate.
In any case, you still fail to see. Despite Lug's 'irritatingness', his points both remain relevant and valid; This suggestion is neither viable nor does it make sense. Excessive gear drops and logic that couldn't follow itself if it was given a map.
You also failed to show any humility in so much as attempting to find out what is wrong with your idea, instead choosing to remain steadfast and insist all is well with the world.

"A bully is a person that acts mean against another person"
You want me to be mean?
So far I have been having a ball with this thread. A really big multi-colored one. It even bounces. This is fun. I link silly things. I make silly jokes. You and thousands of people out there are too sensitive to realize subtle humor.
"sometimes involving physical attacks or shouting words at the other person"
Yes, because I am physically beating you right now. Feel the wrath of my virtual fists of fury. I am also shouting words at you with various text fonts and/or all caps sentences, though the only time I consider myself to be yelling is when I use exclamation points at the end of the sentence because that means exclaiming something. I am such a violet, loud person.
"In this case, Lugi was posting just irritatingly rude comments on this post"
Naked grannies.
Is that irritatingly rude enough for you?
"I clearly did not expect that"
You know what not expecting something means? Emotion. Having emotion. Sometimes that emotion is fear, like if I linked a jump scare. Which I never do. Sometimes that emotion is sorrow, like if I made you sad somehow. I have no idea what makes you sad. You know what makes me sad? People not getting subtlety. They just see the weird expression on my face and run to mommy. Is my face too weird for you? How about I change it up a bit? Do you feel better now?
"some people call him the "Grinch". "
I want to know who calls me that.
I want to know so I can gather them all together and talk to them in rhymes while wearing a neon green armor set about how I plan to steal all the presents from Havenville to stop all the noise, noise, noise. It would be funny. You know, that thing from not too long ego. Emotion. Most people have it somewhere. I keep mine in my left pocket. See? Wait, that was the liver I found trying to jump from a two story window. Fortunately I caught the suicidal squishy thing and have been raising it as a single parent. Which is why I created the Foundation for Actively Integrating Livers, a program designed to help livers find new homes in the bodies of people who need a transplant. Donate today and get a free button with our initials on it.
If any of this offends you be sure to point it out so I can make fun of y- I mean, discuss it with you. Now come here and give me a hug.

subtle humor
I sometimes like to read your utterly ridiculous and random posts, but I must say that the adjective "Subtle" is not necessary here.
~Sev

Way to spoil it.
Spoilers are not allowed on these here foorims.
But seriously, you can get rid of the thread if you want. Graveyard is down the hall, third left, then out the window. If we ever need a laugh we can just pull up the link. Bookmarks and whatnot. Unless you want us to show you what real bullying would be. I could be making fun of your name. Sonic. Have to go fast, you know. I tell you hwat.

@Hexyle
The best post of the year is this: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/48217#comment-320334

- Silver Keys are hardly found in areas, randomized in after bosses or found 10% at the top of the Sky Clockworks.
- Shadow Lair keys have a 20% of spawning in the half point of the temple.
- 3-star weapons and recipes are now more common in the Sky Clockworks, originating from all 3-halves of the entire area. Frabjous joy day for low-ranked knights who are eager to pass the next tier.
- 4-star items are randomized at the top. 50% of them popping up in the Treasure Room.
- 5-star items have a 5% chance of spawning in the Treasure Room, and have a 2% chance to spawn anywhere.
- Recipes are more common than swords, guns, armor, helmets, or shields. This will change by the vote of the public.
- You'll most likely get a duplicate of an item -- one for you and the other one to sell for any price of CR or CE.
- Items may have a "Broken" affect on them -- which means they have 50% less defense than regular items -- this works for Shields, as they would break in less hits by enemies.
- Guns may have a "Discharge" affect, which means they won't charge at all.
- Guns may have a "Pierced Battery" affect, which means it takes twice as long to charge up a gun -- similar to other suggestions for ranged weapons.
- Swords may have a "Cracked" affect, which means they have a limited durability and break within a matter of hits. Number for hits left on the Sword will show above the Sword icon next to your Health and Heat bar.
- Swords may have a "Mixed Element" affect, which means the regular element of a Sword will be swapped with another, for example - Elemental weapon's element switched with Shadow element.
- Silver Keys may have a "Broken" affect, which means they break when trying to use it on a Lockbox. This may happen 50% of the time.
- Shadow Lair Keys may have a "Broken" affect, which means they won't work 50% of the time on entrences to Shadow Lairs.
- A 5-Star Sword may be dull and useless, the fact that items there were abandoned and left to rot for years. Items like this will give less damage, and more damage on the Knight.
- Any Star-rated Sword may have the "Clumsy" affect, which 25% of the time will "hit" the Knight on its own -- this is common in heavy/Guardian swords.
< More edits coming soon >

I have made up several new bosses -- they do not show up in the original Campaign, but show up in this extended Campaign.
Boss 1: The Ancient Guardian (Mini-Boss)
Info: The Ancient Guardian was a living stone monster that used to protect the Ancient Knights when they leave or enter the Sky Clockworks. These mechanical titans of power were corrupted by Shadow elements and think every living being as a Hostile, even on the people who made the titan like this.
Now it only waits for more threats on the matter -- but it was de-activated by some unknown force. But they forgot one thing -- the sensors. Knights must be cautious when entering the Sky Clockworks, as they may trigger this titan. The weak spot is the crystal stabbed into the back -- much like one of the enemies in the original Campaign.
Damage: 50 - Elements: Shadow and Poison, for some odd reason.
Defense: 80
Boss 2: War Machines of Destruction ( Boss )
Info: These machines left in ruins by the Gremlins, they are attracted to destruction and corruption -- like itself. A clever rebel Gremlin went with the squad of Gremlins, and hot-wired the machine when they weren't looking. After powering it up, it only smashed the Rebel and the squad of Gremlins. Then it went on to destroy the Ancient Knights. But it faced severe resistance, and after taking enough damage, it went into sleep mode, which would awake when Knights come across it. Knights are to be cautious when facing this machine -- it's quite the Demoman.
Damage: 20 - Elements: Shadow and Fire. - Defense: 60
Special: Bombs - Special Damage: 100
Boss 3: Dragonborn ( Boss ) ( Skyrim Refrence... )
Info: A mythical dragon which sleeps in a special room filled of Fire, which is annoying and frustrating. Thanks to Water Wells in the place, Knights can traverse this area and reach Dragonborn, which guards the entry to the next room. Dragonborn is a stubborn dragon -- doesn't follow orders from tinier beings than itself and only wants to bake enemies into cake. Knights are to be careful with this being. But its told you can get the Fang of Vog from the dragon... only after you defeat it.
Damage: 120 - Elements: Fire (duh), Poison, and Shadow. - Defense: 80
Special: Lava Fire - Special Damage: 200
< More Bosses ideas coming soon >

-Imbalanced OP
-people complaining about OP being imbalanced and unspecific
-OP poster becomes slightly defensive
-random funny post
-the beginnings of a flame war
:/
My thoughts:
-Make some ideas with actual content. Not dramatic propaganda and whatnot. This is a suggestion, not a trailer. This is also the suggestions forum. We like details here.
-Learn some more about the game. Play it through to the end before you suggest content to let players advance more quickly. See if the problem you're solving really exists, or you just don't know the solution.
-Spiral Knights is an MMORPG. MMORPGs do not have campaigns.
-Luguiru isn't being a bully. He's pointing out all the things wrong with this idea, in a comical way. He's not even making fun of anyone or being mean. Except maybe to elderly people.
-The bosses sound like a trojan, another Roarmulus Twins, and another Vanaduke.
-Don't use being 11 as an excuse for being uncreative. (by the way, I don't know any 11 year olds who could type these big posts in less than several hours). If you aren't actually 11 and were using that as a figure of speech, I apologize. But it's still not an excuse.
It's not that we don't like this idea. You just need to balance it and make it make some lore sense.
<(^_^)>

I wonder what would happen if I made all review posts like that for these kinds of threads.
And how many therapy sessions I would be billed for.

11 years old OP? that means he cant play spiral knights! he must be at least 13 years old!

And definitely not Skyrim.
And since you aren't old enough for Skyrim or Spiral Knights or Spiral rim or Sky Knights, here is a sonic related thing that you can watch, since your name is ultimatesonic so I assume you are into sonic hedgehog because anything with the word sonic in it means sonic hedgehog in my eyes.

This is officially the best thread. Think I'll bookmark it for a rainy day.
(Oh you can talk to Leafblader about the bump. =P)

Like Lu said, wouldn't we have noticed a giant structure twice the size of the planet? would it not block out the sun? and you dont seem to be answering any questions, you just keep adding more ideas, why should it be so east to get gear? what does it mean when you say crowns are not as precious? you have too many random things that dont really make sense, we dont need all this new stuff, we are getting battle sprites soon, too much random content would ruin the game, i do see that you put quite some effort in to your ideas though, but unfortunately they will not work, why dont you try to come up with a original new DLC idea that fits in to the way the game works, and is not a vague place that cant really exist full of rehashed baddies.

I would like Clockwork depths to vary more...maybe some sort of puzzles while earning crowns after stages of the puzzle t'would be fun.

the fact is that you are going do destroy the two things that put this game together: story and buisness.
story:
"ok knights, we are going to try to get another energy source, in another planet. it has twice the size of cradle, and the energy it emits it's not so much as the core of cradle, but whatever. also, more mass means more gravity, so jump to conclusions. no, we are not going to save the energy we have to get to this new planet for the skylark, don't ask why. also, we may encounter more dangerous enemies. prepare yourself, because it will be long."
buisness: well the only item I have found in the clockworks was a voltbreaker shield, 2*. I think there is a reason for that. if you get one gift once in a while, people will not complain. if you get too many OP gifts in a day, and practically finish the story in a week, it's not a game anymore, it's just "go, spamspamspam, win". and then it will be boring and you will not play anymore.

And wow, wall of texts ^^^^ by the OP. Let's just say the implement everything you suggest, you're talking about three years later.

I know I have dumb moments but geezus...
Luguiru you just earned my respect, that was the best read I ever had on this forum, looking forward to your next :D
- Silver Keys are hardly found in areas, randomized in after bosses or found 10% at the top of the Sky Clockworks.
They are hardly found anywhere... Can they drop? I never heard of a Silver Keys dropping, but I could be wrong...
- Shadow Lair keys have a 20% of spawning in the half point of the temple.
Why? Oh right you're poor...
- 3-star weapons and recipes are now more common in the Sky Clockworks, originating from all 3-halves of the entire area. Frabjous joy day for low-ranked knights who are eager to pass the next tier.
/sigh
So all that time I spent getting to 5* gone to waste? Wait let me just grab 10 mules, box this game and get 3* gear over and over again for 3.5k cr each? Good idea, from zero to rich in 6.5?
- 4-star items are randomized at the top. 50% of them popping up in the Treasure Room.
/facepalm
- 5-star items have a 5% chance of spawning in the Treasure Room, and have a 2% chance to spawn anywhere.
They barely has 1% of spawning as of now, just so you know... 5% is a lot when millions play a game
- Recipes are more common than swords, guns, armor, helmets, or shields. This will change by the vote of the public.
Vote? Hey guys what you want more... useless recipe or the item 5*? (because if we get 5* items, what's the point in recipe, really?)
- You'll most likely get a duplicate of an item -- one for you and the other one to sell for any price of CR or CE.
No **** Sherlock, check the drop rates...
- Items may have a "Broken" affect on them -- which means they have 50% less defense than regular items -- this works for Shields, as they would break in less hits by enemies.
So once your item is broken you have to find a new one? Let's just sell it for 30k cr and grab my duplicate, no worry. One might even spawn, heck 5% chance, I got a Book of Dark Ritual within 100 tokens. Items will be easy peasy to collect
- Guns may have a "Discharge" affect, which means they won't charge at all.
That's probably the only good point you brought up... And still... could hardly be used in SK
- Guns may have a "Pierced Battery" affect, which means it takes twice as long to charge up a gun -- similar to other suggestions for ranged weapons.
You mean Low Battery? Because when a battery is pierce, there's acid coming out of it and it's probably more lethal to use that acid then a broken gun...
- Swords may have a "Cracked" affect, which means they have a limited durability and break within a matter of hits. Number for hits left on the Sword will show above the Sword icon next to your Health and Heat bar.
So repair bills or once it's cracked it will broke eventually? again no worry, I got plenty of dupes laying around because I don't need cr and got duplicate of every items
- Swords may have a "Mixed Element" affect, which means the regular element of a Sword will be swapped with another, for example - Elemental weapon's element switched with Shadow element.
Would love to see a Voltedge with Shadow on it and the rage on ppl face... "hey you know that Voltedge that took me ages to craft because of krogmos? Well it's now an electric Acheron! But I already have 1 Acheron that does elemental damage and another that does piercing so I'm good"
- Silver Keys may have a "Broken" affect, which means they break when trying to use it on a Lockbox. This may happen 50% of the time.
You have a thing for broken stuff do you?
- Shadow Lair Keys may have a "Broken" affect, which means they won't work 50% of the time on entrences to Shadow Lairs.
Well it doesn't matter anyway they have 20% drop rate just by entering a "floaty treasure vault"
- A 5-Star Sword may be dull and useless, the fact that items there were abandoned and left to rot for years. Items like this will give less damage, and more damage on the Knight.
But... if they keep on dropping... then it's not old... I mean... After loading up 100 times the Treasure Vault it will still drops items... they are new items no? I don't follow the logic... but again you have a thing for broken stuff don't you? (maybe even broken logic)
- Any Star-rated Sword may have the "Clumsy" affect, which 25% of the time will "hit" the Knight on its own -- this is common in heavy/Guardian swords.
Yes because our Knights cannot properly wield Sword on the "floaty ancient island" but they can charge bombs and aim with guns properly...
I have never seen such broken logic but it made my day

the idea is good, but with all these drops, ce is going to raise to literally 20k per 100ce
I like the idea, but don't make up the drops. Unless you have a degree in economy and business, you won't understand what adding so many drops will do to the SK economy.
I like the creativity and the new bosses, but let the dev's decide what drops there will be..

WHY DID YOU REVIVE THIS THREAD
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE UNLEASHED?!?!?
/e hides
I know I don't comment much in this forum, but I do read it nearly every day (except when I work a 14 hour day, then I am lucky if I have time to even have a beer let alone read this before I pass out lol).
But I wanted to take a moment to expand on redblades post, this is a brillant idea! However, and its a big however, he is right, don't mess with the drops. I mean yeah it would be great if every run we got something awesome like SL keys and etc etc. Realistically it would kill the game, and make it unplayable, and or to easy.
That all being said the concept is solid, and I have another idea I was thinking about from a game I used to play back in the day, but I will make that a new thread in suggestions (if I don't see it already done, and if it, then I will revive to just say I like it).

TL:DR Tried to revise to stave off the logical people, didn't work. It just seems like you want moar stuff without the need for more crowns or CE. It also seems like your dimensions are a bit off, if it was a HUGE temple in the sky wouldn't we have noticed it by now, like a huge shadow or falling bricks? It also seems. We already have a set drop system.
Why have something DROP a 5* sword like the FoV even though it SHOULD only be available to people that have gotten enough Almarian seals. If this were implemented I SHUDDER to think of the massive repercussions this could have on the economy, lag, and the fan-base in general. And practically what everyone else said earlier.

This kinda appeared shortly after the pre-purchases of bioshock infinity started so some of the inspiration might come from there.
Nonetheless I want it.

is this supposed to be a suggestion for a new expansion or is this just like the normal clock work adventures but instead of goin down, its going up?
I think you should remove the part where you get the 5 star stuff and junk. It would make the game pointless.
Also....THIS IS GONNA LAG!!!!

Some one should really point this out: Strangers are the original "people".
You're ideas are absolutely retarded?!!
Stop spamming ideas
BTW Luguiru is trolling ur arse off

I want you to read this post. Then I want you to see if you still think this is a good idea.
I wonder if this will be an actual idea in the game -- eventually everyone's gonna get bored of the original clockworks.
