Do something with the Arcade.

As of the missions update, you can remotely enter the Clockworks via the Missions panel. You used to only be able to do this via the Arcade. Now, I hardly see ANYONE in the Arcade at all, because they dont really have any reason to go in there. The Arcade nowadays only has 2 real uses:
1. Mineral Deposit, which as of the Battle Sprite update, isnt going to be used that much anymore (Not that it was in the first place.).
2. Sullivan, who sells all those OP PvP weapons and trinkets.
So really, the only reason to go in there is for Sullivan. Which means that the Arcade is almost useless.

Here are my ideas:
1. Remove the Arcade tab from the Missions panel. This will give people a reason to go into the Arcade, for they have to go into the Clockworks that way.
2. Put some new NPCs or something in there. The only NPCs in the Arcade are tutorial NPCs (Sullivan excluded), so many players will only be in there once or twice, and then never see it again.
3. Host events in the Arcade. Impostoclaus showing up next to Sullivan to say 3 sentences of dialouge isnt much of an event. Host events like clockwork races, announcements, or just getting to see the Game Masters other than when your stuck in the clockworks. Anything.
4. Put in more shops than just a PvP vendor. I know that there is a bazaar for this type of thing, but its mostly just Stranger vendors. Put in another vendor, like one that sells stuff you wouldnt usually see (NOT TALKING ABOUT BRINKS OR KOZMA)
5. Have that Roarmulus fight in the arcade. The purpouse of the Roarmulus Twins were to bring up through the arcade to attack haven. I would love to fight those things there. :)
6. Put the actual PvP lobby in the arcade, or a signup post. Gives people a reason to go in there, because I know how much people LOVE to do PvP. (Thank you Coelydragon.)

Just some ideas.

More NPCs...eh. No one cares about them anyways. Remove the coliseum tab and have the coliseum entrance (like a waiting room) be at the arcade. Makes sense? That way people can chat PvP there. Also, if the twins happened at D0 then everything would barely do damage.

I personally would not arcade because of the energy mist, which limited me much just stay in missions that were to profit, now ... go back to the arcade for fun ... and have more boxes than some missions (ex.: arenas and treasure vault)
and remove the Arcade tab? Seerusly, i don't like walk too much just to do this, like most of the people

@Zeyez

1. ha, someone using Seerusly instead of Seriously, that hasnt been done to death
2. If nobody wants to walk anywhere, why not just make it a text based game?
>You look north and see a Construct Family Lumber. Command?
>ATTACK
>The monster resists your Final Flourish and only does 46 damage. Command?
3. No mist anymore, free elevators.

when I talked about walking, we would have to swap 2 screens only to change again (to the arcade's lobby)... and change more once
is not because i don't want to walk in missions, its because i don't want waste so much time going one place to other

Unless you have horrible internet, its going to take a maximum of 5 seconds to load the Arcade. Not that taxing on the ol' CPU.

I honestly don't understand why there's an Arcade tab in the missions panel.

Well it takes like 2 minutes

Well it takes like 2 minutes for stuff to load for me, so I'd prefer to keep the arcade tab. Not -1ing it though.

My what an.... apt avatar....

Assuming you haven't noticed a variety of things....

1)You used to only be able to do a lot of things via the arcade....
1a)Missions came out, causing streamlining everywhere
1b)Nubs everywhere rejoiced at the idea of more streamlining in the grindfest
2)Missions also caused most of the newer populations to not learn completely what minerals were originally for
2a)Battle sprites introduced to provide a new function for an old element that has played a rather critical role to the game
2ai)BS update also provides arcade revitalization due to fact most the stuff BS's work off of have little play in the boss strata
3)OOO has very few updates they have gone back on
3a) Believe they aim to maintain that
4)Bazaar used to exist too
4a) See also: Guildhall update

In short: OOO's focus for the spiral order seems to have become more about enjoying the levels they've designed, rather than the places originally designed to absorb a lot of off time originally created by the mist system. Due to this ideal, much of the features veterans have come to know and love appear to have either fallen to the wayside, or been repurposed.

Not a -1, just saying, adapting to changes like this are almost requisite of longtime gamers, or choose another pasture to venture in. Personally, I've kinda just chosen to derp around on some old games for awhile. Maybe revisit on a different occasion.

I have a

I have a counter-proposition:
Remove arcade completely and move that shop elsewhere.

In the old days, Arcade was a social place. We were designing levels with it, shaping the very future of our game! For the next couple of days, at least (random levels were chosen from themes, and themes were decided by players by depositing certain materials).
These days we simply don't need Arcade. Its a thing of the past. We have Mission Interface AKA boss shortcut menu. Who needs arcade now? Only those who haven't gotten glorious Daunless Delver achievement? Basil runners?

I think they've got bigger plans for the arcade, but it's just my wilde speculation.

Grinding anyone?

Am I the only person who grinds in the arcades anymore?

And don't tell me the arena levels aren't fun, because you just know you feel like the hottest stuff for making it past all three levels and the pay off is glorious.

Why are we talking about removing the Arcade?

eerm, it's the arcade place, not the arcade clockworks.
for the suggestion, there is still a spot missing on the far right. I'm waiting for that one.

I'm not talking about removing the arcade, I just want something done with it so it doesnt feel like a waste of server space

The arcade should be removed from the mission window, and the place (arcade building) should be added to the Activities tab.
