You know what's annoying?

Knights spamming "."

Do you know why they spam "."?

Because they want to check their lag.

Do you know what would be a simple brainless to code method to fix this?

/ping.

Player sends /ping. Game responds "Pong."

Easy lag check without disturbing your party :)

and then everyone spams ping and lags the whole server and everyone disconnects. The end.

Would be less code-wise than

Would be less code-wise than even speaking, So it'd actually be easier on the server to do so than speaking which delivers to all on view.

+1, but it would be nice if it just gave you a number instead of a "pong".
