Damage Barriers

The idea is to add blocks in the clockworks that can only be broken by dealing a certain damage type to it, like maybe it would be for piercing, shadow, or elemental.
They wouldn't prevent progress, as going back to Haven just because of a roadblock is unfair to any adventurous knight. But it would block off a small area where some treasure boxes could be found and maybe a slightly higher chance to find rarer enemies.

Another variant of these blocks could be blocks destroyed by certain weapon types, like a block line that can only be bombed, or overgrown areas that can only be cut with a sword, or a hole in a seemingly indestructable block that bullets can penetrate to destroy.

It would make more knights bring varieties in their weapons and party up with friends to get the maximum amount of drops while exploring clockworks.

Let me know what you all think and if I need to explain anything deeper.

It would be a good idea to create more challenging puzzles. It could even help branch out what I've always loved in a game and thats hidden bridges! :D

I think it's a bit arbitrary, really. What you could do is have puzzles made easier by bringing guns and bombs. You could have a set of switches set apart from one another that all need to activate at the same time. Easily achieved by bombs, but even if you don't have one, you could synchronize with your teammates. Then you have switches that are set far away which could be activated via vial or drakon should you not be carrying a gun.

Things like that.
