Energy Gates: Either lower their cost or bring back an old mechanism.

Energy Gates, no one really wants to open them due to the fact that it spends a non-rechargeable energy source.

This brings up the problem of people begging for people opening gates and ends up one person losing out or being outright ignored. I either suggest lowering the cost to 1 or 2 Energy per gate which allows for the Energy Cost to remain even while still allowing many more gates.

However, you could also bring in an old mechanic you used to do with Silver Keys. Except, rename them to something like... "Energy Key". (Simple name, sue me)

It'd have the same function as the Silver Key used to, they'd appear randomly within the level that feature an Energy Gate, and your goal would be to find it and carry it to said location. Boosting Arcade's popularity.

Honestly, people I've run with, both guildies and randoms, haven't seemed all that reserved in opening gates. For all intents and purposes we have a lot more disposable energy to spend now that it's not going on crafting. Since rarities only drop from treasure boxes and energy gates often have some of these it makes sense.

The only thing I'd say is making sure these seem worth the expense. Gates with something like 2 treasure boxes seems like such a waste.

If anything in the levels seems like a waste of energy then I'd say mecha knights and those laser turrets are. Previously these were something of a novelty if you felt you weren't going to spend all your mist energy, but I can't even say there's a tangible benefit like I can with treasure boxes behind gates and they're more expensive to activate iirc.

I can tell you the old way felt like playing a Facebook game. You do what you want for the day then get off, that's how it felt playing this. Crafting, same way energy felt, like a 10 mission let down. Either you get 10k money to get the energy to play more or you wait till the energy resets to 100 again. The only plus side to the old way was the crafting and the heat other then that this is much better i think.

Tealknight, you do realize that this has absolutely nothing to do with the Energy System, right?

Silverkeys used to work like how Golden Keys work now. Except they were used to open Energy Gates. They were later removed in favor of the current Energy System.
