I could just be aggravated player at a perfectly fine mechanic, but I find them horribly annoying and worthless to be honest. First of all, in this game any and all damage is a serious threat due to limited healing options. This is especially true for a character with low health such as myself. On easy mode, minis do 1 damage and on elite they do 2 pips of damage. That isn't much but the fact that there are SO MANY of them and the fact that they give absolutely no drops is the thing that I have a problem with. On easy mode it takes two hits to kill one, and two hits to kill a regular old jelly as well. Does that not seem like an issue to anyone else?
Main issues:
they deal too much damage in relation to the amount of them
They have the same amount of health as a regular jelly
They get in the way of hitting the real targets
They surround you and cannot be walked through so you pretty much have to shield and take it.

The damage is not a huge problem, even with many of them you can only get hit once due to the invulnerability after being hit. So the main way I suggest to solve this issue is to make all royal minis able to be killed in one hit with any weapon and to be able to walk through them at reduced speed. You could just say that they make the level more difficult, which is of course true. But it is not an enjoyable kind of difficulty like fighting off a large amount of monsters, or an intelligent AI. They are the main reason for having difficulty in the RJP fight too mainly because of crowding you. If they absolutely have to remain the way that they are I think that they absolutely provide enough challenge to drop loot as well. Otherwise, I don't see the problem with just increasing the number of regularly jellies, and potentially giving minis the ability to combine similarly to lichens. Or making them all be killed in one hit.

Thanks for reading, tell me what you think.

They Don't Need Changing

If they were extremely hard to kill, then while you were killing them they would just heal the Jelly King. That's probably why they come in large crowds (also because they're quite weak)

I think that people shouldn't complain about enemies if they haven't used all three weapon classes.

An enemy that is difficult for a sword user is often far easier for a gun or bomb user, and vice-versa. If you don't want to use a bomb, party up with someone who does.

Example: On the fight with jelly king you can lace the ground with 3 or 4 star Salt Bombs, and they'll keep you protected from minis. Elsewhere, Fire and Shock Hazes work well, or any Blast Bomb.

Complaining about the easiest enemy in the game, lol.

There are one or two bugs that should be fixed, namely minis being able to wall up projectile based charges like a brandish.

But seriously... hard? too much health? crowding you? You're either using the wrong weapons/tactics or fail too hard at the game.
Grab a fiery vaporizer or something.

"they deal too much damage in relation to the amount of them
They have the same amount of health as a regular jelly"
I kill then in 1 hit, less than normal pink cubes, with an avenger (no need to bring specialized shadow weapon).
They also do full normal instead of shared piercing.

juances,I think that it's not a bug. they are effectivly portable walls. they are blocking sprite abilities too (firestorm, for example).

When he said "Royal Minis Improvement" I thought this was going to be a thread to make them harder... I would have supported that.

Hell no

Fine as is. We don't need the game to be easier. Try getting 5 star and better at the game before cracking up nerfs. Nerfing the second weakest enemy in the game isn't neccesary (Easiest are green minis)

They do not make the game harder

They don't make the game harder, they are just annoying wastes of time. They are not hard enemies, but they have the same amount of health as regular jellies so I don't understand why not instead add a bunch of jellies that actually drop something? You clear a room of the main enemies, and then you have to waste time killing an enemy that gives you nothing. Or in the middle of fighting actual important enemies, you get random small ticks of damage because of the annoying little bastards that one misses.
Skill? You mean run and gun or charge attack to win?
The main issue is that you can't walk over them and they have the same amount of health as regular jellies.
They are just a useless pest, I would rather a mechanic that actually adds genuine difficulty, make them sacrifice themselves to heal other jellies or make them stronger.
For all I care, replace them with humongous hard to kill monstrosities, I just hate the crowd of enemies that give no reward.

They do not have the sam health as regular jellies. Bring a proto gun to test.

For starters, try using something BESIDES normal type damage.

Also try a bomb.

The only improvement they need

is for the OCH bomb to actually damage them. When you main bomber and its your primary shadow weapon... you can get screwed hard.

I have the solution to all of your problems.

@Larry
Mini jellies take no additional damage from shadow weapons, so your advice is no help in this case.

I prefer shock since they swarm in groups.

While I do have to agree with this thread on some levels, I also have to go with a lot of the comments on this as well. I have loadouts just for JK runs. Swords aren't exactly all that effective depending on the blade. However as noted, JK and his minions are exceptionally exposed to other weapon types. Running any DOT bomb of almost any kind really burns through this fight. I personally run ether of my DA main and Ashes of Agni secondary or GF and Ashes of Agni as well. Use your blade on the regular groupings in the stages and use your bombs for the actual boss fight. Kite the groups through the effected area to tag them and keep the damage up. Also keep in mind vials as well. Even a poison bomb can make this fight easy.
