I had an idea for a new hazard which could be found in....

All Jigsaw Valley levels.
All Compound levels.
Possibly Wolver Dens.
Gloaming Wildwoods/Ultimate Gloaming Wildwoods.

These Buzzsaws would be found in groups of 2-4. They follow a long metal-like trail and go back and forth, left and right (depending on which way the metal-like trail is). This trail is a straight line, they are either horizontal or Vertical, not diagonal. You can walk over the trail and the buzz saw goes average speed, considering that there are a few at a time all near eachother. You cannot destroy these Buzzsaws, and they do not damage any monsters, even Lumbers!

I put this idea in one of my last posts however I added it along with a new Arcade level so no one really checked it out. That's why I'm putting it as it's own suggestion here. (Sorry if this is considered 'spamming'). This idea has also been changed from my other one slightly, as these now deal pure Normal Damage, my old thread said they did Piercing, but it is now Normal.

Shankles, wich in turn come on every damage combination. There's one clocwork tunnel variation where they spawn just like this.

I was waiting for this...

1) You can kill Shankles, plus these don't stop (no possible hearts either).

2) You don't get Shankles in any of the levels that I listed.

3) Shankles don't follow a metal-like trail. :P

Golden Shankles.

Well then suggest for shankles to be put in the levels you listed.

Well okay, these are just shankles.

Counterpoint:
Shankles are boring, buzzsaws are awesome.

I don't think Shankles would fit in well. Buzzsaws would be good because in Jigsaw Valley there are lots of piles of logs. The name 'Wildwoods' also sounds like it would have Buzzsaws. I also thought that they would fit in Compounds but I wasn't sure on Wolver Dens (although you do find Piles of logs though).

I wouldn't try to relate buzzsaws and shankles too closely now. Think about it. The shankles are some organism or whatever, and they move around on their free will. Now, what if there were some clockwork levels that have levers that change the direction that buzzsaws go in? Heck, what if you could swap the rail that the buzzsaws go in like some kind of train tracks? It would certainly open up new possibilities for creating puzzles (which there are a lack of in the Clockworks).

zeddy was a fuzzy bear...

Zeddy stop using bear logic, you furry butt!
+1 to buzzsaws of DOOOM. They should also have a variation that blows up on contact with a knight, deals elemental, piercing, and causes fire.

Actually, it could be pretty cool if they also were able to harm enemies.

I imagine there could be some cool set pieces where you fight a lot of lumbers among a bunch of buzzsaws.

@zeddy

Maybe but the AI would need to be able to deal with it out side of normal mode.

Well, if it did then the Buzzsaws would deal piercing damage to all monsters. Seeing as this would be added to Jigsaw Valley, they would only be OK against Gremlins, but they'd be resistant to Constructs. Would be possibly ok for Wolver Dens. Although it wouldn't be realistic if they didn't do damage to monsters. A wolver walks right infront of it and it doesn't saw off it's head? I won't change it now but if anyone else thinks that they should deal damage then I'll change it.

Maybe they should just be doing normal damage? Like the gremlin ghostmane buzzsaws?

It would distinguish them from shankles too, as they only do specialized damage.

I'm up for normal but they should do reduced damage to monsters while playing elite mode.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

...[Normal damage] would distinguish them from shankles too, as they only do specialized damage.

I agree with the first part about doing normal. They would be made to cut up wood, which resists pierce.

However, there are also Normal damage Shankles, so it doesn't apply...

+1 to normal damage saws!

No, keep it as a normal-shiny Buzzsaw.
