Fire Crystals, lower cost may mean more profit.

I suggest you consider the possibility that lowering the price of Fire Crystals may make more people actually buy them, so many more that you end up draining considerably more Energy out of the game.

I like the Forge. It's something to do where I see progress, and I might get something nifty. (Not that I saw another Forge Box beyond the first one early on after the update, but I might get one every time! :) )

Paying Punch might be more effective to get him to do an UV, but that's no fun. I do have fun with the {Forge->possible box->possibly an UV Ticket} way.

I am heating all sorts of armour that I initially made for costume purposes only, simply to do Forging. Radiant Fire Crystals come a lot slower than Heat though. Then I look at Supply Depot and think, 50 crystals, 700Energy, No way.
If it were the full number needed to forge the last level, for 400E, I'm sure I'd grab some now and then. That's 400E drained out of the game now and then, versus 0, ever, on Fire Crystals.

(Or maybe I just made too hats and coats for costume purposes. But this thought kept bugging me, and I'm the talkative sort. :) )

Oh dear, I should call a GM so he just gives you my 2000 radiants I'll never use.

Yeah, you're trying to heat way too many costumes at once. Fire crystals ARE everywhere, or at least radiants. Most people only get stuck with shinings.

LOl.

I'm fine, thanks. :) I am really just thinking that maybe they could drain more Energy out of the game with lower prices.

Radiants everywhere though? Not really, Shinings are easy. You get a shortcut to where they can be found in every Gate (starting at Emberlight), plus all the 7-n and 8-n Monster level Missions.

For Radiants (Stratum 6), the only shortcut is 9-n Missions, and there's only one that isn't Fiend/Undead. (So, I'm currently perfecting my various ways on how to die to Slime in the most entertaining manner. Doing first level of Terminal Meltdown.)

Going there in Clockwork is not so much an option. By the time I get to Basil I want a break from doing Monster levels.

Maybe I should don Merc and Perk and run through to Basil and to where it gets interesting?
Hm. Still, no actual shortcut, that.

(Joining a random group to then go solo and leave their party locked seems rude, and I don't like playing with strangers.)

I see his point

Fire crystals and alch orbs can be ridiculously expensive. I see his point that if they were to lower costs the amount of sales would cover any loss in profit.

Think of it like this.
Company X sells awesome coffee for 50 bucks a cup. But they only sell 1 cup an hour at most. So that is 50 bucks an hour.
Now Company X is reaching bankruptcy so it lowers the price to 25 bucks. The store now cells 20 cups an hour. If you are too lazy to do the math that means that Company x is making 500 bucks an hour! 10X as much!

While not under the same circumstances I am just using this to point out what the OP is saying.

But I could agree orbs *are* rare. The OP might be the only person willing to spend money on radiants.

Spend your money however you like but even at 400CE you'd be making a bad choice.

The-True-Cake, Alchemy Orbs are fine. Used to be crafting something to 5* would be 1100CE if you used Mist. Now it's maybe 400E if you are unlucky at finding Elite Orbs. (They're also at home in an even Stratum, but there are more shortcuts to Stratum 4 than Stratum 6.)
I do buy Elite Orbs without a thought now.

The problem with Fire Crystals is cost versus gain for something you don't really need (because you can find it all if you're patient).

But yeah, your coffee example is what I'm thinking about Fire Crystals.

Little-Juances, well, I wouldn't mind if it would be all Fire Crystals needed to heat a given * item be 50% of Orb Cost. (For example, 400E for all Crystals needed to heat a 5* at 100%, 200E for 4*.)
It would also make a lot more sense to me that heating costs less than crafting. This example cost would just be very drastically less than it is now. I thought it better to go with something less drastic. :)
