I just want to suggest this to SK team. With the missions you should explain to the new knight HOW to purchase an item with the AH and how to sell one since it is a major thing in SK game.
Have a regular "noob offer" so they can buy it and sell it afterwards as an exemple. You could also introduce how to craft that way... "go buy 10 green shard, 2 beast scale and 2 sharp fang, we are going to craft a wolver coat!" and give them the necessary to craft to show them how it work. (or a brandish... AH and craft could be put together rather than "craft hot edge and frost gun and come back")
SK is great but each time a friends come in the game I have to explain everything to him/her because of how bad the game does it. When I'm bored and a random newcomer ask kindly and don't beg I usually show them around. (in french 100% of the time because when I'm bored I'm in french Havens mostly)
I go in order from AH to Arcade to talk about the Arcade and the Missions. Because I personnally think it is a great way for new people to explore SK rather than following a straight line that the missions brings. Then I explain to them boss tokens and how Brinks is awesome when you begin. I never once spoke about accessories but I think Bechamel could be introduced too, since we have so much useless crest by completing missions...
Re-make early missions because they are old and outdated with the current state of SK. The tutorial and the battle sprites missions are quite nice but doesn't blend well with the "old rest". Also a lot can be done better, you know it, I know it, so why not put a little time on that?
I think a lot of newcomer are held back by sheer lack of knowledge about the game.
I have to say: No.
First of all, being handed someone something to just sell it can be exploited based on the profit of the items that are given. This also just seems to be an incentive to just have some player go to the Auction House and just shove everything on there. It seems as though this suggestion is more giving the upper-hand to veterans than actual new players.
The thing is, the Auction House is player-run. How can you exactly have a tutorial on something that is player run? What if there are no items there on the Auction House? You're just going to halt progression because now every-single player has to buy this one particular item?
The game explains things quite nicely but with anything, there's some people who really can only understand by doing it themselves and the game helps push the player into doing so.
