Simply what the subject says.

You're walking along a clockworks level and you find recon modules that expire in 24 hours from everyone who's been there and bothered to care writing one. But you can't read it until all monsters in the room are cleared.

This recon module says, "To all knights, the last wave is all Greavers. GL!!!"

This recon module says, "This Danger Room has fiends only. NOT WORTH IT!"

This recon module says, "Jimmy died here. :P"

This recon module says, "East path: Ele, south path: Loot"

This recon module says, "WTS asi h brandish!! PM BestSuggestionEver!"

Recon modules should be prize wheel (in sums of 3) or low price like 200 cr. Or if you use both of your lives, you should get a free recon module. Guild halls and haven would be cool too. But not in normal missions.

To prevent spam, set a limit to the amount you can place, like only 1 module per depth. One problem, if you can't read them until the monsters are clear what is the point? Aren't they supposed to be their to inform/help you? Other than that it is a good idea.

I have no mouth and I need to scream

Like dark souls? I think it was that game that had this similar mechanic. (I might be wrong)

EITHER WAY, I love this idea. It could be a CE sink by people buying them from Kozma as well.

+1 mate

That is a good point, but

That is a good point, but you'll have to take into consideration two things:

1) If you have to use the action button to activate them, you'll risk misusing it the same way people mistake to pick up totems when they really mean to attack turrets.

2) They are distracting. They are advertisements and if you're in a Danger Room or an Arena Room, those are the last things you want to see when you're too busy being chased by mobs of mecha knights.

That's why I offered "Hover when all enemies are gone." For arenas, someone will probably leave a message next to the button and you can read it until you step on the button.

I don't think people will want to spam this item. For instance, even you do the same gate, with the same mission icon, you're not going to walk in the same directions because that's how Arcade is set up. Even then, this item isn't really given unlimited use. I propose three ideas: Prize wheel, low price, and simply just using all of your lives (You have died! Would you like to leave a message for the knights to follow?) Or something like that.

It would be nice if depth 29 gave out recon modules for free though.

--And I really think people won't use recon modules all that much... But when they do, it will definitely make Arcade feel less repetitive and more community-driven.

I like it. But to solve the "when all monsters are killed" problem, either place them in the designated areas (corners, edges of rooms, top of the room) or place a "module-allowed" zone right before a battle room.

Swag IS a virtue

But this makes this game like demon souls....

Ummm, maybe like... they can be placed anywhere but only appear when the room/hallway they are placed in is cleared out.
