New Battle Sprite

So, we have a dragon and a ghost sprite but what I'm focusing on right now is Seraphynx the cat. Wouldn't you think that since we have a cat, a new starter sprite should be, the cat's opposite (or not, depending on how you look at it), a dog! It could be a normal dog, sure, like a beagle or German Shepard but what I'm looking for, is a pug, obviously! If you can't do a pug, at least do a corgi. Corgis are easy to model. It would be so cute seeing them float around. :3

Not to imply that pugs aren't great in every way, shape, and form, but... what exactly would it do as a battle sprite? And how does one make a dog float? And why call it a new starter sprite, what's the difference between that and a regular sprite?

And what makes you so sure that Maskeraith isn't a ghost... of a pug? That would certainly explain why Maskeraith is so great.

I think he means for this Sprite to be available for free from an additional possible choice in your first Sprite selection, unlike some recent suggestions advocating SD or rare drop chances.

For one, Pipi, that isn't

For one, Pipi, that isn't "breaking the fourth wall." And for two, no. Spy, your clever ways aren't very helpful. I've learned that myself. Though, while being clever, I can still answer your Qs.

1. Since when was anything great in every way, shape, or form?
2. So, there's a defensive sprite, an offensive one, and a stealthy one. So, maybe the dog could be the fast one. Now, to figure out the moves and name, I'm gonna analyze each sprite, if you don't mind. I've deduced (freaking Professor Layton over here) that Drakon is a form of the name Drake and is also a name for a dragon in Middle and Old English. Seraphynx is a mix of "seraph", a heavenly being and "sphynx" which is a breed of cat that's known for its lack of a coat. And finally there's Maskeraith. His name is also a mix: "mask" from the mask he wears (like a Hollow from Bleach, I suppose it's used to hind the Phantom's sins) and "wraith", an old Scottish word for a ghost or spirit. So, each name seems to be a unique reference to their appearance and a description of the sprite itself. Through clever research, I've come up with a name for the perhaps future battle sprite: Maciba. It's a mix of mach, a measure of speed (Mach 1 is the speed of sound) and Shiba which I guess should be the breed since I think Corgis are a bit too small but Shiba Inus are close to relatives with the Corgi. At first, I was gonna do an Akita Inu but those are huge compared to Shiba Inus. Now, for the moveset. It seems all of them has these types of skills in order: Attack, Support, and a special move based on their directed stat. And there are three Augments, each with slightly different named skills. Also, the sprites have different types (fire, normal, poison) so, since Maciba is fast, electricity should be good. Okay, for the Maciba the moveset could be: Augment One (sorry, I'll have to have a few unoriginal names since the others do. Tradition, y'know): Lightning Strike (Maciba shoots a lightning bolt which can pierce and hit an enemy multiple times), Teleport (Maciba can teleport the player to a spot that's seeable on the mini-map), and Quick Sphere (creates a sphere around player and allies which boosts their defense slightly and makes the players and allies moved faster for 30 seconds (or 1 minutes?)) I'll create the other Augments later. I have to go.
3. Simply wings or a device. They took a cat, and put wings on it.
4. Ditto, Sandwich.
5. Maskeraith is actually just a phantom form of a sprite. It was simply formed into a sprite. Nothing says that Maskeraith is a ghost.

What does a dog have to do with electricity?

- Dragons typically are associated with breath attacks, which is usually fire.
- Cats in Egypt were revered to the point of mummifying them after death, a great honor for a non-human.
- Poison is usually associated with dark rituals and eldritch spells - something which a Maskeraith does.
- Dogs are struck by lightning.

Don't mind 5Pi - his fourth wall thing is something that he just spams as his subject everywhere.

Now, let me do some critique.

Lightning Strike (Maciba shoots a lightning bolt which can pierce and hit an enemy multiple times)

Would this lightning bolt be from the skies, or a horizontal widespread blast? Like the lightning barriers in Magicka or the lightning blasts in Dungeons and Dragons? I'm assuming horizontal since you mention is pierces through; if I'm right, would it go through Trojan shields? Would it HURT Trojans with shields because they wear heavy armor?

Teleport (Maciba can teleport the player to a spot that's seeable on the mini-map)

No. /e teleports out of a boss fight room directly to the treasure. Even if you capped that, there's still the flaw of the first person zooming way ahead of the others and waiting for everyone else to hurry up.

Quick Sphere (creates a sphere around player and allies which boosts their defense slightly and makes the players and allies moved faster for 30 seconds (or 1 minutes?)

So it's pretty much Frenzied Firestorm except it lasts longer and is more defensive, which is something that the Seraphynx is supposed to do.

They took a cat, and put wings on it.

That may have some more influence from Egypt.

Touche, Sandwich. I didn't

Touche, Sandwich. I didn't see that connection to elements coming, sorry. >.> I looked back into the past and realized the relationship with wolves and citizens of lands of forest (citizens feasting and throwing extras to forest and then wolves eat. Through that, the wolves found a connection to humans). The only status effects (apart from normal, in general) I found that could relate to wolves would be stun or sleep (not normal because Sera). Give me some feedback on what you think, Sandwich, and then I'll recreate what I started. BTW, I forgot to mention (realized this at school) that the teleport wouldn't be able to allow you through doors. Only in open areas.

The 4th wall shall be shattered!!!

I'm not the only one that does that :P

But seriously, did you create that account just for this suggestion? When I saw the name, I thought "Is this a suggestion for a dog?" and was right

at least something like that

Mr. 3.141, this may be a new

Mr. 3.141, this may be a new knight but not a new account. I run SK on Steam, BTW. My original Knight is Luciferthebrony.

Stun? We already have shield bashing, and one of the Drakon's Ultimates inflicts that. And sleep is currently buggy, and is removed from the game save for some vials until further notice.

Again, Pi, no I didn't. I

Again, Pi, no I didn't. I created this Knight because I wanted to start anew. If I didn't do that, I'd still post this thread. So you can stop trying to be a smart-aleck.

God danget, I'm a bit frustrated now. I might have to do normal. :/

hrmmm....

Why not gunpuppies? they look like robotic corgis to me, just add a hovering mechanism under the cute thing?

about the skills being speed based:

Thunder strike: seems fine to me?

quick sphere : eh.. maybe not a team-based buff? maybe a self msi and attack buff

Teleport: no, just no. maybe maybe just make a radial shock and/or Dsi on enemies (like seraphinx but with out health?)

P.S. i think maskeraith's name come from the word masquerade?

Let me hug you, Demo. <3 Thx

Let me hug you, Demo. <3 Thx for the idea! It's perfect! Three tiers of battle sprites; three tiers of Sparkies! Alright, lets get it started!

Name: Spach (spark/sparky and mach. Also, Star Trek. Sorry, I just had to. He's also a Sparky, the electric type of the Gun Puppy Family Tree. <3)

Moveset:

Thunder Strike
Spach shoots a lightning bolt, and like Seraphynx, pierces any enemy and does constant damage to the enemy. If you hold Left Shift while commanding Thunder Strike, it shoots a wide spread lightning bolt. The more Thunder Strikes an enemy takes, the higher the damage while the less Lightning Strikes means less damage, like a shotgun.

Quick Sphere
Spach creates an electric sphere around its owner or a single targeted player (through player hotbar). The effect of Quick Sphere includes a Medium (at Augment 1. 2 is High and 3 is Very High) Movement Speed Increase and a Very Low (2 is Low and 3 is Medium) Attack Damage Increase for 45 seconds.

Shock Radius (just popped up for some reason. xD)
Spach shoots lightning on the ground in a specific radius. Any enemy that's caught in the radius of lightning receives one hit of normal damage and is shocked for 5 seconds (Augment 2 for 15 and 3 for 25).

How's THAT? :D

P.S. Perhaps. Maybe the Masker part is from that. I'm pretty sure about the wraith part, though. Also, the Gun Puppy has a rocket booster under him.
