I think he just means modify the current shield animation, which I agree with. It's a great idea+suggestion, and yeah, it could be an excuse for another shield but nooo plx noo. Shhh. Summon the snarb moar, yes please. Would you have it bite a bit or just nose-ram? Have some transparent spikes come out of the ground as the things that stun mebbe? I'm thinking about what attack(s) snarb uses that would fit the shield bash the most, as well as fit with BTB and DBB.

Now that we have Torto shields doing it, why not others? OOO has proven to us that they are capable of making unique shield bashes so I see no reason to stop at one. Then again, those are event rewards which are items that are usually suppose to be unique. *cough* Grinclin Assault *cough*.
I feel like these special holo-bashes should only be given to special shields though. I like the idea of the BTS creating a holo Snarby. After all, the armor is a replica of the Snarb itself and the weapons make one appear. Why not finish the set?
Other shields that could have some special bash to them is the Bitter End and Dark Fang Shield. The Bitter End could create a holograph of the Recon Ranger symbol and be significantly faster than other shield bashes but have less knockback and AoE. The Dark Fang Shield can create a Dismantler symbol and have less reach than normal shield bashes, but have a stronger stun?
Well, I like the idea and am throwing out some of my own. No matter what happens, I just hope to see some more interesting and cool stuff being used with bashes and other less used skills. Up next: dashing!

Scarlett shield could have a nice heart attack aesthetic effect :3 (no, would not drop hearts). And maybe it could even jingle/have a rapid heartbeat when bashing (vs. tortodrones roaring haha). I consider scarlet to be one of those "special shields." Another "odd" or "not of typical crafting behavior" shield...hmm...
Not that bashing with swiftstrike would be the smartest thing, but that could have a ton of swirling air particle effects around it when you bash (kinda like spur line sword). Sound: extremely windy, speedy woosh.
Green Ward: lots of green twinkle/sparkles? Not sure on this one. Green stars? And the sound of jingling money/crowns?
