Title says it all, whom in your opinion is a rising star in LD? This means they are pretty much legit-playin' noobs. By noobs I mean low-ranking players. And I'm pretty sure you know what a low-ranking player is. If you don't then-OKAY NOW I'M JUST RAMBLING.

I asked the same thing. Thread didn't get all that much answers but the last 2 are pretty legit answers.
So yeah, hope that helps.

As for my own experiences: No one is currently a rising star in LD as far as I see.

O rly?

Huh. I thought people would actually know some stuff on this, like you said the Community is so small and it's boring seeing the same faces every time. I just wanted to know who was good and who I can think will become the next Krakbob or Contri or *Insert name of famous LD player here*. Or, er, something like that.

Thirty Thread

I've seen this guy on leaderboards 4 times, and even though he doesn't go for damage, if you run into him he will mess you up. I'm not sure if he is a rising star though.
Krakob is ok, but I've never seen him in live LD.
Annilation that old forumer is actually quite good now, but then again not sure about rising star.

@Krakbob
I sorta get the notion that your a good player because of excessive forum posts on the subject sooo... er, yeah.

@Ardent-Light
Thirtythread, eh? I think I've seen him before while spectating, I never have fought him though.

Just to throw in my own has anyone seen Hillycow or Resarcio? They're quite good players (might have misspelled their names). Also that guy named Sho-Marufuji seems pretty good, he plays T2, just sayin' (Hahaha...).

Rising Stars -

Only person i can think of who was good at LD right away is Shockbladez. Him, and La-Cal was alright (though still not great) when he was starting out.

Really- "skill" in LD comes with practice, reaction time, and the right mindset, two of which come with experience. Yeah. You can't predict the "next best LD player". Much of "skill" is rendered barely useful by the shallow learning curve of weapons like gran faust and polaris, anyways. That and auto target, which is the ultimate "aim-helper". I'm not hating on auto target, just stating that it helps you aim more precisely, especially when you're starting out. That is just how it works.

Yeah to reinforce knight's

Yeah to reinforce knight's idea, knight sucked really really REALLY hard last year at everything including LD, but with lots of practice, he is now half decent.
