How to fix the Radiant . ..a new Heating system

So the current heating system works by using the forge after your about to lvl a wep/armor up to the next lvl, and depending on your luck/amount of Crystals your wep/armor will move on to the next lvl. My suggestion is that any heat collected after a wep/armor is ready for the forge will continue to heat up the weapon(it still will not move on to the next lvl), and after the wep/armor has been fully heated another time, it stays at the same lvl but requires significantly less fire crystals to forge with. Edit: 75% less radiants then the original cost
-
-For example you have a brandish at lvl 9, you've heated it so that you can use the forge now. But you only have (for example) 25 fire crystals and you need 100, so you keep heating the brandish, and the heat fills up the lvl 9 bar again, now you open the forge and you only need 25 fire crystals instead of 100 to lvl your brandish up.

Good idea, +1

that... could actually work?

I mean maybe not something like 75 less fire crystals, that's a weeks grind removed!
Personally I support anything that will lesson that long grinding session that can take several runs so you can get a few fire cryas to forge then fail if you don't have the time to grind for 30 more (which happened once when it was a 90% chance of success)

however I would change it, the extra meter would lower the next cost by the level of the weapon.
EG: the level 8 brandish being reheated will lower the cost by 8 crystals, then 8 again at the next level and so on, slightly raising the heat cap each time. when it hits level 9 you lower the next costs by 9, again raising heat cap each time.
To counter this though some people may say they would need to lower the drop rates of crystals, don't forget though you still are heating the weapon several times

That idea is perfect. I was thinking almost that way too but I will post my idea with my other suggestions once I have time.

That idea is great. Makes sense for Heat amphiliers, makes sense of pickuping unused heat and does not allow to complain about forge.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

I like Tatsuya-Katsu's idea. The way the OP suggests it seems to skip too much.

I kept the details vague to see what you guys would say, since the amount of radiants it takes to lvl a wep/armor up increases, the amount of radiants needed after the extra energy bar is filled should be 25% of the original cost. Thus making the system we have now a speedup of the heating system-but costing 4 times more radiants.

I really don't see why the developers can't make this happen…I've seen far too many unheated 5* items, and I myself am discouraged from making any new items for fear that I won't be able to heat it.

Well, personally I heat my stuff up to level 5 and then continue one of my other items. It's at level 5 where you get a CTR/HP boost, and then everything after that is quite expensive. At least I can still get Radiants.

I really don't see why the developers can't make this happen…

Not quite. They don't reply to what they like and their development cycle is slow.

All they have to do...

Collapse the current heating system from a 10 lvl heating system to 20;
lvl 1
lvl 1.5 make it a white bar instead and reduce radiant cost
lvl 2
lvl 2.5
lvl 3
... all the way to lvl 9.5 and 10

I think new players don't buy as much CE as they used to because they won't be able to heat it up. Maybe that is why OOO has been using these Promotions to make up for lost income.

I like it. I think it would need to be less than 75 and more than the heat level (a -9 rad bonus on a 5*9 piece of gear isn't a HUGE improvement when you need 102 Rads) but I really like the idea.
I also like the fact that it makes Heat Amplifiers relevant--I can't tell you how many of those I've got stacked up in a corner... >.<

At 700ce/50 I would never buy Rads to level gear. Too costly when you need 450+ for just one piece of gear. But at 800ce/2days I'd probably buy a Heat Amp from the SD if the bonus is high enough.

+9001

+9001, i have like 7 5* items at low levels, all of them are maxed at heat so that's pretty much useless to me.
That would be a good idea but i think that 75% is too much, maybe 25% less cristals or so per bar filled until a limit of 75% should be better? so if you have a lvl 9 item that uses 100 cristals to lvl up it would be reduced at 25 by filling the bar 3 times or so

Well, it would work, aside from the fact OOO wants you to buy them Radiants. =J

Though honestly, I liked old suggestion featuring "trinket that produces Fire Crystals when heated" more.

So...

I was too lazy to read the comments, but what if people just max the heat of the weapon to infinity and beyond? Would the weapon's required crystals completely fade or will there be a limit?
