what would be more beneficial in the short term? upgrading my dark thorn blade into a barbarous thorn blade, or my freezing vaporizer II into a freezing atomizer. Is the extra damage from a 5* weapon worth the upgrade cost?

i have bought tempered calibur rcp, learned it, all mats i have and also energy, but cant craft it.
maybe it is because my calibur have 9lvl?
i found out in wiki that tempered calibur rcp need 1 lvl calibur, but in game recipes description just says "calibur".
so i need to buy 1lvl calibur if i want to craft tempered calibur or is there some method to delvl mine 9lvl calibur?

I've been playing for a few days, and am looking at some tier 3 gear, I want to know, does anyone know if abilties stack?

E.g. A shield that gives sword damage bonus medium and an armour that gives sword damage bonus low.

Does that mean I only get the effect from the shield? OR do i get 2 effects added together, so, the bonus the shield gives + the bonus from the armour.

I just want to be sure before I waste loads of money on abilities that don't do anything

So I'm literally a recipe purchase away from winmillion and was looking to get a 4 * item.. (quite a proud moment for me honestly)..

And someone in game tells me I should switch weapons and abandon winmillion because it can't go 5 *...

Would I be better off just getting winmillion now, making money using it with its higher stats?

or should I heed their advice and go find a completely different upgrade path?

I was curious... Can someone make a second/third knight on their main account and get a mist tank from the mail, switch to their main knight and use the energy they get after a while, then switch to their second/third knight and use the mist tank, then switch back to their main to keep playing? This was bothering me when I was thinking about doing that so I could craft my Spiral Scale set and realised that A) It may not be possible and B) I believe that this would fall under abusing bugs/cheats/hacks/etc.

What determines the price of Energy/Crowns at the energy market?

Yes, i know its offers made by other players, but what effects those offers?

I would assume that there would be a spike in the market during peak play times, and lower prices during when less players are on, but because Spiral Knights is a worldwide game, i am having a hard time pinpointing those times. I keep getting the feeling that there are crowns to be made by buying low and selling high. I just don't have the resources to check Energy prices each hour, every day, for a week.

I was planning to buy 5* recipes and then selling them for 5k extra aka 30k compare to 25k, if I did start this would it be a good idea? and would you actually pay 5k more for a recipe?
