Again...removing unwanted items

I see this has been discussed before. I don't see any explanation from the devs as to why some items are permanent. On the surface, it seems a strange and undesirable feature. But it's especially disturbing since, as a new player, this is not understood. In my case, I was offered equipment better than what I had by another player who, I guess, was being nice? He didn't mention I'd have to pay real money to ever remove it from my inventory. I now see it's really not that great an item.

I would like to find some game worth spending money on, but if I can never, ever get rid of the starting junk in my inventory, there's no way I'm going to support the effort with real money.

I know some players don't care or don't mind, and I would ask those players not to comment on this post. This is for the rest of us who are annoyed by a feature that no other MMO I've played has, and one which is quite annoying. Not a dime to the game, nor a recommendation to any friend, if I have to pay real money to remove a "gift". And I'd really like the starting proto equipment gone, too.

Hold on...which items are you talking about?
Weapons/Armors/Helmets/Shields can be vendored by visiting a vendor in the Bazaar, even bound ones.
Open up a vendor and click on the items you want to sell. Select checkout once you're done.
However, I don't recommend selling your items, if you ever want them again. Use the Loadouts feature to quickly access gear.

1) Legend is right. You can

1) Legend is right. You can just sell them to NPCs.

2) Itens such as proto are there so you won't be able stay with no armor at all, since the knight's appearance comes from the armors. And if you ever have your itens removed for any reason, you still have te proto set to make a run and get itens again.

Actually, Legend is wrong.

Actually, Legend is wrong. So is Dandi. It cannot be sold. They want Energy.

As far as the chance of being unequipped, mandatory inventory items is not an appropriate solution. I would much rather take that chance than be saddled with junk eternally.

Specifics

Could you please be more specific, Beenix? Legenddestroyer asked you 'which items are you talking about?' and you never answered the question.

Since your original post also did not specify 'what' he answered in a general way making some (apparently incorrect) assumptions.

We are all just trying to help you :-)

three kinds of items

Beenix, the others here are right. You need to slow down and explain which items you're talking about. Whether you can get rid of an item has nothing to do with whether you spend real money on the game. So your anger is definitely misplaced.

Some items are "bound". They are marked with a blue dot in your Arsenal. They can be sold to a vendor, without paying an unbinding fee. They cannot be sold or traded to another knight, unless you pay an unbinding fee at Vise. The unbinding fee is a certain amount of energy. If you decide to go this route (which I don't recommend), you can buy the energy with crowns. There is never any time where you are required to spend real money.

A few items are "super-bound". They cannot be sold or traded, even to a vendor (Stranger). These items are also marked with a blue dot in your Arsenal. They include the 0-star items that you started the game with. Why? Because the game wants to make sure that you always have at least one helmet, suit, etc. It's not perfect, but it's not a big deal, because there aren't many of these items, and they aren't worth any money.

Items that are not marked with a blue dot are "unbound", and can be freely sold to vendors and traded with other players, without paying any unbinding fee.

Ya,

Because there isn't a single thing you need to pay money for in this game.

And the binding feature isn't THAT uncommon in games.

Unless you're talking about a situation with perma-bound items like this (I have two Prototype Rocket Hammers), then you can sell any unwanted item to an NPC vendor. Try going to the Haven Bazaar, and talking to one of the Strangers (for example: Greave), and then sell the item from your arsenal.

I have two Warmaster rocket hammers.

An two DRs.
You don't see me complaining.
