Just a thought...
Could we make it so the forums had a favorite [persons name] of follow [persons name] setting so that you could find your favorite posters.
also I was thinking of a reply alert feature so you could know as soon a you log in if someone has commented on one of your posts.

A new forum engine altogether would be much much nicer, but that would be a waste of OOO's already dwindling resources.

as I said its just a thought :)
That would be a feature that would depend on OOO's forum manager (which the forum manager has now been fired). OOO would need a forum manager first and then see if they could add this kind of feature.
the follows # would not be seen by the person being followed so that people wouldn't compete for follows [ like they do in many forums with follows]
