How about using the fifth arcade slot found in the arcade (mission) tab? We could add a temporarily gate called, "Event gate" where each tier has at least one stratum with (insert enemy here; in this case, gremlins) or the whole gate could be promo based.

Or better yet- just have every single level in the arcade become wrench warfare themed arenas.
