Bring them back as "Shrapnel" bombs
Just replace Shard or Bomb with Shrapnel. This way we keep both types of bombs.
Shocking Salt Shrapnel.
Deadly Crystal Shrapnel.
ETC.
Bring back old shards under a new name...

I was having fun on the shard bomb train and hoped to create a solution that let us keep both kinds.
