New servers for far away countries

For some people, playing spiral knights is a nightmare, since the latency lag is something tremendous. There are only 2 servers, US and Europe. But places like South America (myself) or Asia and Australia suffer from a lot of lag. Lockdown becomes a mess, deeper levels become harder, blast network stops making sense, etc. This type of lag toys with our minds because, for example, if we raise our shield just before an attack, it registers the attack anyways. and recordings show that the shield was indeed up.

I love this game, but recently this has become a greater issue. it creates disadvantages for us in competitive play and for everyone in cooperative play. It should be taken into account sometime.

I know that servers are indeed expensive to build and maintain, but not doing this is at the cost of loosing players from other countries. I hope this problem can be solved sometime in the future, but meanwhile I'll play other games.

+1 even though it wont happen in the forseeable future

I live in Australia and the lag sucks, but servers are very expensive and annoying to maintain, so it's not a very good idea for sk to have servers in south america/asia pacific. It wouldn't necessarily help bring many more players, and it's a lot of money to make the game experience better for a small minority of players.

It sucks, but oh well, I've learnt to just deal with the lag.

It's not just a metter of quantity but also a matter of quality

Countless times, there have been forum posts about how people play other online games/ mmorpgs and they received the same answer. "Do not compare it to other games that have more servers closer for you to connect to". The thing is, that's not entirely true. I've played Dragon Ball Online, countless times, in the Korea server. In fact, the game is only available in Asia, actually requiring an english patch for me to understand. I've played duels against other people and never got a single drop of framerate or delay of any type.

The servers are not really good, and they should have gotten an upgrade years ago, more now than ever since the new updates that added more info to be sent and received.

Also, I didn't mean that new servers would bring new players, but that they'll keep players from stopping to play. The disadvantages created by this lag make the game close to unplayable, and is just unacceptable.
