Damage counter in PVE

We have a damage counter in pvp, so a damage counter for PVE sounds fun.

Yeah, how about no
As @Neueragon said, it will only encourage inflated egos, people being jerks and massively increase the rate of people being kicked by party leaders for dumb reasons. Those that like to be support will get pooped on because they "didn't do enough damage" from others whining, despite a support playstyle not having damage as their main focus but to have others backs and set up situations for teammates to take advantage of.
having one in PvP is fine because it is player VERSUS player, but PvE is cooperative and having something like that is just going to end up with people yelling at each other that they "didnt do enough" or "stole my kills", while also discouraging any kind of support play.
why grab for example sera and vortex when you can use other things to get a bigger number to brag about.
