Players names and info to large
the display that shows your team mates and their health/type is to large. i have found that if you start on the right side of the map then there is a very large blind spot created by these and it makes it alot easier for an enemy to get the jump on you. if you start from the left it doesn't effect you since there is only the usual minimap in the corner. I think if you make the health rectangles into squares so you can fit 2 in the same area as 1 rectagle you should be able to reduce the area it covers by at least a 3rd.

anyone that attacks from the bottom, win most of the time. You can't see to well below you...

I think that attacking from the bottom is something that won't be changed and you'll have to use to your advantage. However the left to right advantage due to the side of the frames on the left can be changed.
I actually like the idea that you'll see a more seasoned player standing closer to the bottom of the area he's holding just to get a wider view and possibly a preemptive attack.

what about the option of
what about the option of minimising the health bars (like you can with objectives) or making them more transparent? Or just flip it to the otherside.
alot of mmo games i have played have fully customisable HUDs, to avoid confusion, lets say this can only be done in haven (we all know what its like to accidently tade/tell someone while in an arena because you forgot to lock the HUD......right?), or maybe just have a few pre-set HUD options to choose from. Ok I've said HUD too many times.

I don't know whether it is even an option, with the way the code is set up, but maybe each team should see a rotated floor so that they see themselves starting at the bottom. Clearly, the code can rotate the PoV to be above and back to 45deg, and it *may* be pretty trivial to rotate around the z-axis by 90deg.
I agree, I have noticed how vision in this game plays a big role. Spawning on the right side is definitely a disadvantage.
