Possible buff for Callahan/Iron Slug

Callahan should do shock because its color scheme matches that of other shock weapons. And make Iron Slug do stun. Also increase their damage and/or make them pierce through monsters.

No, don't give it shock. Color is a terrible reason to base effects off of. For example, the BTB is black and red, and yet it does neither shadow damage nor cause fire.

There is already a buff for the Magnus line in the pipeline!
Piercing through monsters would be extremely useful, making the Callahan a much more viable option for, say, groups of Greavers down hallways. No shock on the Callahan, though. Having stun added to Iron Slug would be acceptable were the status not quite so buggy as it currently is. And yes, the bullets could do with a damage buff added to them.

+ 0.25 for damage boost
+ 0.25 for status infliction for Iron Slug
+ 0.25 for piercing ability
- 0.25 for shock infliction

+ 0.5 total if Stun gets fixed

Just suggesting something that could be done. I'm just suggesting shock due to the color scheme, I don't mind since there are already two shock guns that does things better.
The red on BTB is more like dark red not orangeish like FOV for example. And black is more like thorns (just my opinion).

Iron slug would be awesome if they fixed stun.

both guns needs buff. for callahan, it should defeinetly get pierce through monsters effect. it looks the part, ( to me). would it be op. shoots two bullets, one giant bullet on charge. i dont think so, but if anyone thinks it might be op why not decrease the damage it takes out of the monsters it hits after going through the first one. makes sense to add the decrease in damage to me anyway.

for iron slug, i would hate it for two lines of magnus to have the same effect like all the brandish line swords. all shoots 5 huge waves of energy at their 5 star form. really boring that weapons dont have different effects as they upgrade besides getting wider range or higher damage output (just boring). so why not just give iron slug and exploding knockback effect. this effect is when the bullet hits an enemy, it cause a small explosion, 1 square big that causes huge knockback and intense stun. i dont think that would be op. according to the gun description, it says it leaves the player in a daze and worse for the enemy, so why not give the iron slug this effect.

-1 on changing Calla, +1 on buffing the Slug.

Callahan is a pretty good gun if you know how to use it correctly.

But could be better, no? I don't think buffing it would make it OP compared to Alchemers, Polaris, Blitz, or (for PvP) Valiance.

One issue with making the

One issue with making the bullets piercing is the guns become AoE guns...like bombs...and we know how OOO feels about weapons overlapping boundaries.

On the other hand, maybe it is a great suggestion and OOO would do that.

In the mean time, one alternative might just be to make the guns true sniper rifles: buff the damage/range to beast mode levels. It's not a solution with tons of spectacular features, but maybe could still be useful in the average repertoire.

one question sense im not up to date with the abreviations. what is aoe?

i agree that the guns would change to feel similar to other weapons like swords and sk is trying to reduce that. but heres the big question,

Has sk reach the point that they can say each weapon has reach their limit of power and each have an appropriate power that respecs the time and energy it takes to make them?

well that was two questions in one, but what i mean is sk needs more experimentation in every weapon line. limits can only be decided by the strength and weaknesses of the weapon. so why not give this idea a try in the sk test server to see if it does change the game entirerly. if u look at pulsars most of us thinks, were shoting small bombs, look at the charges of alchemer, were shooting big waves of energy almost like a gun. the game isnt balance yet, we need more experiments, so why not try callahan piercing bullets.
