As you dash forward, every .2 or .3 of a second (happening multiple times), it could break any block in your way.

I miss you RSS....

Yea i know that feeling. Bombs suck at destroying things instantly.

+1 for shield bash.

my 2 cents

Dark Retribution is da best bomb to have for those specific reasons. I always have it just in case, plus in DMG max and CTR Max it's quite nice to have and my friend was laughing at me for using it against mecha, showed him how I can easily beats mecha with 3 DR in a party of 4

My main bombs for when I go full bomber: DR, DBB, Nitronome and a status one (Voltaic most of the time, if not Venom)

But yeah it would be nice if the Shield Bash could actually be used to destroy minerals/block/fences and whatnot... I don't see why not

+1

@Shamanala

Flaw there: DR is for paying players only unless you're a Steam player!

@ Autofire Put 5$ into the game, problem solve.

You support OOO plus you get an OP bomb and an OP hammer.

PLUS if you link your acc to Steam and wait for Steam to have promotions for it, you could buy OCH for 1.48$ and Guardian Pack for 10$ (instead of 40)

???????

Profit! :D

Great, where's the slot in the computer where I put in the money?

PLUS if you link your acc to Steam

And then have to go through loopholes to work on the wiki, endure increased reboot times, be locked out of Spiral Knights should steam fail, and have an always-running process in the backround consuming both RAM and internet bandwidth in order for your game to run? No thanks, I think I'll take the lesser of the two evils.

Exactly what I think. It should also destroy those little bushes which guns can only destroy when their bullet's 'explode'.

just to answer your question...

1: You can log via Steam and modify the wiki, it's easier than it was (and no offence there, but who actually modify the wiki that it's important to have THEIR Steam acc as the main character who modify wiki?)

2: Steam rarely fails to connect with OOO anymore, it usually takes 1 or 2 minutes to resolve.

3: Steam only uses 64 (at it's max) mb rams... if this is really too much for your PC you shouldn't even play Spiral Knights to begin with. It uses like 500 to 900 mb of rams... And I find this utterly funny because I have a decent "becoming bad" PC and multibox Steam and multibox Spiral Knights with 4 gigs of Ram... which cost 50$

4: Steam doesn't uses Internet Bandwidth when you play games, it does uploads your games when you are not there *GASP* "the horror! SK is updating when I'm not there"

Steam isn't all that bad and is not really THAT demanding for common PC. My PC should run on Vista and was made in 2006 and can run two SK, two Steam at the same time. Can also run Steam, SK and TF2 at the same time but opening google chrome may crash my PC. I also checked. Can run at least 5 SK at the same time while using Steam.

You can get exclusives items too (Steam Knight mask, Shogun helmet and metal sonic set ^ ^)

I don't get when people say Steam takes a lot of Ram... it takes almost as much ram as having a HD picture in your background... like 20 mb rams... geezus that's a lot!!! -_-

Edit: Opened my task manager to see the actual numbers and give them as proof, I just launched my boxed Steam and my boxed SK to see every single number I can give

Java.exe sits at 197 thousands Ko
Java.exe sits at 551 thousands Ko
Steam.exe sits at 11 thousands Ko
Steam.exe sits at 22 thousands Ko

Proof

Sham and others supporting Steam, there are 6 words which counter every argument that Steam is good to use: It does not work on Linux.

There is no Linux SK on Steam yet.

ANYWAY, back on topic, yes I think that bash should be able to break blocks and minerals.

2: Steam rarely fails to connect with OOO anymore, it usually takes 1 or 2 minutes to resolve.

Whatever that means. Steam doesn't connect with Three Rings Server at all, Steam connects to the Steam Server.
What I'm talking about is people who have difficulties doing that. The Steam Server rarely goes down, but people have problems with getting Steam to run every day. Here's one instance from 3 weeks back. Here's one from two weeks ago. And those aren't infrequent events. I've had my share of problems with launching steam too. Sometimes updates don't update correctly, and your entire steam install bugs out and you have to completely reinstall. And what happens if someone hacks your steam account? You lose your Spiral Knights account with it.

4: Steam doesn't uses Internet Bandwidth when you play games, it does uploads your games when you are not there *GASP* "the horror! SK is updating when I'm not there"

If steam is not connected to the internet when you play games, then how does it know when your friends are sending you chat messages, or when it's got "no connection"? Any program which actively uses the internet is, well, using bandwidth.

Also, Shogun Helmet and Metal Sonic Suit/Mask aren't Steam exclusive.

SO ANYWAYS, BACK TO THE POINT.

YES, Shield Bashing should destroy blocks/minerals. One could slap on the damage mechanics of the warhammer dash onto it, with it's damage being HEAVILY reduced to 1 damage. Of course, minerals/boxes don't HAVE damage counters, so simply making it so that it simply 'hits' without needing to deal damage works just as well.

It'd definitely be of a huge boon to bombers. Better to wait for another shield bash than to charge another bomb, and have it explode.

Shield Bash also breaking

Shield Bash also breaking Grass also sounds convenient for a pure bomber / whatever can't break stuff easily.
