I've been playing Rogue Legacy for a while now, and am actually curious as to what some of you might say when you get knocked out...since we don't technically die. I think.
Since we do dramatic drops to the ground, a little speech bubble would come up as we collapse. Much like when gremlins talk.
To start it off, mine would say
"I ain't even mad."
Your turn.
It would be something vulgar, like this --> "*%($. I died again."

EDIT: this would be hilarious in LD. think of all the rage I would be causing...
Put up the entire script for the Kingdom Hearts series on a board, and throw a dart. Wherever the dart lands is going to be my cheesy dying breath one-liner.

"If you weren't trying so hard to crush me, you might have noticed where I was." -- Revenge kill

Custom taunt for revenge kills: Flips sword halfway around once, sticks it in ground, folds arms and looks incredibly serious for a few moments (which is helped by the fact he always wears Skolver as a costume). Then pulls sword back out and resumes combat.

the free revive per floor has encouraged me to play much sloppier. :'3

Get killed by a boss: "Your grandmother can kill me faster."
Get killed by a slime: "Okay....I get it now. You WANT me to use my obsidian edge!"
Get killed by mecha knight: "You have my permission to cry after I revive with my spark."
I'd love to borrow Outworld Devourer's voice:
- Dying with emergency revive available: "This changes nothing."
- Dying without emergency rev: "There will always be something worse on the wing"

While everyone around me would be shouting, "nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bamzalot!!!" Like usual until they realize I still had my ER.

Or a cheesy, totally not serious grin would be cool.
Can you please make a suggestion for this? For some area where we can enter a little phrase that our knights say every time it dies. Would be amazing.
Of course, they'd have to add precautions and filters to get rid of profanity and the like. Which isn't too complicated, I'd think.

Well, I wouldn't yell "Lag" like most people do.
Something like, "I was just warming up."
"Bury me With my Gold" - Arkate's Parting Words.
That's actually quite true, now that I think about it. Everyone does seem to yell "Lag!" at one time or another. As if Lag is an invisible mob that is killing everyone xD
When I have almost killed a boss
"FINISH HIM"
When I have killed numerous enemies in a short time
"UNSTOPPABLE"
When I have died
"Avenge me.....my brothers.....ugh...."
When I have killed a devilite
"Special Delivery suka!"
When I have been revived
"I rise again to lay waste to those who oppose me!"
When I use dash
"Missed! Try again!"

And what of when you get hit mid-dash, eh? It happens... sometimes........
I say "Lag" sometimes when I die because, for the most part, I die from getting hit by something I clearly blocked, but the server didn't recognise I was blocking because of lag.
Everyone says it at some point, although the idea is not to overuse it. :3

When I die while still having an ER I'd say "Rebooting in three..."
When I die without an ER, it would probably go down with a "Oh bloody hell" or a high pitched yelp.
I'd say "Well at least I tried..." With the ER and without it would I'd say "I lived a good life..." Or "I'll never forget you!"
