Just noticed that Feller bumped down another record, what was the reason behind this again ? This stuff actually makes illu's thread more and more attractive by the day.
EDIT: So I found the reason a page back and it prompts me to ask this. Shouldn't we technically be able to name change and get double records to "keep this thread alive" as well ? Forcing other people to improve on their records so they could stay on the boards ? If so please put back my first gunner record. k thanks bey

Well, there's really no point in showing AT is off if you don't hover over the AT box. Because theoretically you can easily modify SK files to make enabled features show unchecked boxes. But not to make enabled features change when hovering over them.

Meh, it's too easy to look suspicious if all the settings are 'unchecked' (via modifying a texture file to make 'checked' settings look 'off'). Besides, if AT was on, the indicator would show up (lock-on) during any in-range attacks.
Now, if something like that UI is moddable and you really wanna go dirty, you might be able to recolor the AT indicator (lock-on effect) to have a transparent graphic (if it's textured and not dynamically drawn by the game). It's probably somewhere along the lines of clever video editing to edit the damage field at the end of a mediocre video.
Attempting to safeguard against everything is a silly idea.
When it comes down to it, hitting high damage is a combination of:
- Having teammates that are less aggressive than you
- Having a long game
- Being in a position where you run into as many enemies as possible
- Staying alive and dealing damage for longer periods of time
- Positioning your character to be in range of an enemy
- Timing your attack to hit before the enemy can
- Aiming in the right direction
At this point, there aren't going to be a lot of people who can bring all of those together AND break a new record, so if something looks suspicious, I trust there'll be enough attention to any new record for people to watch and maybe even call it out, then invalidate their entry.
If someone's gutsy enough to post video proof of their 5* geared character with bannable modifications to game files just for the sake of getting a high score record... they've got priority issues.
