We are currently in the Season of Serving and Giving; Thanksgiving has come and gone, and Christmas quickly approaches. Frequently during this season, our attention turns towards the gifts we will receive; however, it is the giving that is truly special. So in light of the true nature of this season, I pose the following question: what is the best gift you have given to someone?

The gift does not have to be a Christmas or other holiday gift. It could be a birthday gift or a spontaneous act of kindness. It can also be a virtual setting like Spiral Knights. Was it the latest gaming console that you gave to your son? Or the new outfit to your sister? Was it the cup of cold water in the summer to the homeless man on the street corner? Or the dinner you made for the neighbors getting ready to move across the country?

Also, what made it the best gift you have given? Was it the individual’s reaction to the gift? Was it the time, effort, or money that you invested into the gift? Or was it the good feeling inside?

I handed out...

I handed out over 50 or so costumes to random strangers...
Then after I ran out... I handed out over 60 cr to random strangers (2.5k each person)

Then after that... I distributed over 300 ce to random strangers (10ce each person)

Then after that... I held a question trivia in Haven 1... winners won 500 cr each.

Then after that? I sat down and told stories to a group of newbies...

All in one day... it was a good one. :)

I like giving new players the needed mats to progress + a party hat or accessory piece.

But the biggest donation I gave was 1,000 CE to a buddy of mine. He turned 18 so I decided to gift him a little something. Mind you, this was in the High CE Price recession.

Like selling 8 reaper ribs for 500 cr. Because it makes people happy :)

IRL, gave my friend a gift card to Macy's. She was really excited :D

Giving feels so much nicer than taking...

(For the record, yes, I am a guy. I also happen to know girls love shopping at tghe Mall.)

Also, Ohio (my resident state) has the most cusswords used when customers call businesses than any other state? Murica!!!

Oh um.

Gawd. You know what I gave out? When I was still quite inexperienced in FSC, in elite with a full party, everybody died. I was so generous and pretending I was a discount store, so I was like: Buy one spark and get three free! So one of them brought one spark and I revived us all. But then, all of us died a couple more times, so I had to rev everyone in hopes of beating the level, this time the rest for free. I wasted so many sparks that day.....

In real life: My gf really likes zelda and pokemon. So for this Christmas I got her a froakie plush, a skyward sword zelda figure, and a triforce glass mug that's green and white. She doesn't know any of this yet though ^~^

but... (IRL) I bought a very special person a 16k yellow gold and diamond jewelry set consisting of a necklace, bracelet (with our names intwined) and a 12ct diamond ring :D

No... I have a pretty good job until I go into the Air Force. I'm a freelance musician (piano, violin, guitar) and I get hired alot...

It's around 500$ for each event. And I usually play 6 events or so every month. :D

But to answer your question.. no I'm not bankrupt :D And I'm performing again this Friday.

My GF is with me on going to the Air Force... she doesn't want me to die or anything which is why I'm going for a desk job :D

(NOTE: the Air Force is nicknamed the "Chair-Force" by the other branches because they just sit on their asses all day on their computers" which is what I intend to do WHILE getting free college and getting paid at the same time) :D

All silliness aside (except the part where I graced the world with my presence, that part is true), the best SK gift I've given was 5k CE to some poor noob who needed help, this was back in the pre-forge days and it was all the CE I had left. While there were loads of noobs just begging for cash around haven, this noob simply asked if I could help him defeat the snarbolax and politely asked if I could help him out with playing efficiently. I my heart was so warmed at the fact that this noob was actually working his way up the ladder, and asking for honest help instead of being an annoyance to others, that I helped to teach him how to fight well, helped him defeat snarby, and then gave him the 5k CE as a gift; the best part was that, when I offered him the money, he told me to keep it because he didn't want to deprive me of my energy, but I insisted on it and he finally accepted. Seeing new players with a sense of determination makes me so happy.
