So, I was playing spiral knights about ten minutes ago when it displayed the message, "An unexpected error occurred on the server", and it froze. I tried closing it by pressing the X button. It displayed an "This application is not responding" screen, and I clicked "End Process". Nothing happened, even after a minute. Then I opened Task Manager and ended "javaw.exe". Minutes later, nothing is happening.

I have no clue why this program will not close down no matter what I do. This has never happened before. It's just... stupid.

What should I do?

im just wondering if any1 else had lag spikes recently

my graphics and sounds were turned down to minimum, i even restarted java, but it suddenly went to red connection again

my browser works fine, so the only explanation i have is either that the new firefox 7 could be causing the issue or the problem comes from sk

so did any1 notice lag spikes lately? it ruined my fsc run!

btw i was NOT playing at the timings, when i usually lag

sometime the game crash and display this message:

Display driver stopped responding and has recovered
Display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered

any way to prevent this?

OK, so I have a problem with playing Spiral Knights.
I was playing perfectly fine yesterday.

Heres the problem:

I can't authenticate with Steam, so I can't log in.

I've tried this methods:

Logging in and out of steam
Restarting my computer
Reinstalling Spiral knights

Appreciate if someone could provide me with a solution

same problem as Diesektor, the Steam Client update may have caused all Steam users to not be able to log into Spiral Knights.

earlier today i got a popup from steam asking me to restart my client as there was an update that should be applied.
i had just closed Spiral knights before getting it and now i cannot log in. i get the following error message:

"We experienced a problem authenticating with Steam. Please ensure that the Steam client is running and that you are not logged in elsewhere."

i had just be running the game fine before the update and now i cant? I'm definitely not logged in elsewhere

I am sick and tired of this issue and at one point long story short was "angsty" to a very bad degree and was hoping to turn to my favorite game as it was the only thing that actually appealed to me and lock down to sort of get some of my stress out.

i have been playing this game since April, I recently switched to a backup computer and the following happened:

Downloaded SK local client ( non-steam non-browser), installed, ran fine for 2 days then for no reason I can find:

Launch from desktop icon, Black screen, return to desk top.

Consistent.

I followed the instructions in post: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/48

Updated vid drivers, java, de-installed and reinstalled the game.

Did the regedit option, now it does black screen in a small window, then return to desktop

Consistent.
