Just want to know. I used the gun at lvl 7 dmg max, and it very viable.
Here is a quick reference:
Nova driver vs weak at D24: 262 dmg
(level 10 max dmg)
Gorgofist vs weak at D24: 202 dmg projectile (level 7 max dmg)
Not bad at all

Ive seen that thread, but ill take a more in deptb look.
Thanksbopp, helpful asalways.
(Honestly not sarcasm, even tho it may come off as such)
I'll be lucky if I raise it to level 10 before the NEXT migration....
Thanks for fixing the radiants, OOO. Now I only need 2000 more.
I almost have a level 10 Normal Tortofist so I can get the neutral damage numbers however:
Charge - Impact: Blitz Needle charge damage
Charge - Lodged: Plague Needle charge damage
Normal attack:
Punch: 104
Projectile: 174
Charge fall: 245
Spike: 168
as far as effective damage...Normal attack:
Punch: 176
Projectile: 239
Charge fall: 310
Spike: 234
also compare with Callahan neutral damage:
219 normal and 464 charge.
So after testing, here are the 5* thingies for at least Normal:
The Lunge does a mix between Five-Star Shield-Bash. It is below damage because of how weapon scaling works, however once it reaches Stratum 5, the damage is just 1 Damage below and then later, even. At Stratum 6, it ends up same but does +1 Damage more. To compare:
Lunge | Five-Star Shield Bash:
Stratum 1: 13 - 15 | 21 - 22
Stratum 2: 17 - 19 | 25 - 28
Stratum 3: 33 - 35 | 50 - 49
Stratum 4: 35 - 38 | 50 - 51
Stratum 5: 54 - 67 | 55 - 67
Stratum 6: 70 - 75 | 71 - 74
The Bullet shares the exact same damage numbers as Valiance:
Stratum 1: 21 - 22 | 21 - 22
Stratum 2: 25 - 28 | 25 - 28
Stratum 3: 50 - 49 | 50 - 49
Stratum 4: 50 - 51 | 50 - 51
Stratum 5: 83 - 103 | 83 - 103
Stratum 6: 108 | 108
The charge impact does the exact same damage numbers as Blitz Charge Damage as I said previous. The lodged-crystals do Plague Needle Charge Damage.
In any case, we now have what is pretty much an insanely slow elemental-version of the Shield Bash, Valiance, and Blitz Needle along with Plague Needle.
I just picked up the raw damage values for the piercing one, fully heated, in Heart of Ice.
Depth 24, no damage bonuses:
Punch 195
Projectile 245
Charge impact 303
Charge DoT 241
We already knew that all that except for the Punch damage, unless someone posted it somewhere else.
Anyway,
Punch damage = unique
Projectile damage = Valiance bullet
Charge impact = Blitz needle charge damage
Charge DoT = Plague needle charge damage
So if you land both hits, you'll probably be doing more damage than a valiance combo and we have damage types and awesome charge to boot?
And to think, some people were being negative about these guns.
Now allow me to craft a shadowsun set
You'll outdamage a callahan combo, for sure, but it IS a two-hit weapon though, so I don't think it outdamages a 3-shot valiance clip.
Damage isn't everything ;)
While I haven't made the 5* Elemental tortofist yet, I do know that I can wipe things quickly with Nova Driver with streaming max ASI/switch techniques due to its faster animations and ricochets.
@Tenkii Tis true that nova switching wrecks things such as FSC zombies. But the ele tortofist charge is wicked good, and does a great amount of damage withough rekking your finger joints. Like, the shadow one takes down jelly kind hp to about 1/3 or 1/2. Elite party of 4.
Elemental must be awesome.
Shadow one makes decon zones quite fun too. And since the numbers would be identical for fsc and elemental, grab your tortogun and some CTR and charge away
....Still sucks in LD tho
Actually from personal use, the guns work quite well in Lockdown if you know what you're doing with them.
The guns are still quite new and you can't just automatically say "they suck in lockdown" when it hasn't even been a week since the guns were added.
There is already a thread discussing the new guns. That would be a good place to look, right? In fact, the original post links to a spreadsheet that contains the numbers you want at depth 23. I hope that this helps you.
