guild hall upgrades

what i want most of all for guilds is being able to upgrade your guild hall! i want to be able to buy things to make it look better.

i want useful things mostly, but i would love to see decorations as well.

my idea for some useful things would be allowing the guild master to buy shops for the guild hall, so you can have a token person, and anything else

i would also like being able to buy an auction house for your guild so people can place things there while hanging with their guildies, or in a guild meeting

last but not least of my useful things i want a clockworks terminal in the guild hall.

a few things that are mostly decorative would be a message board or a "secratary" that says stuff every few seconds.

the secratary could be a bunch of different creatures you find around the clockworks, for example you could hire a ghost cat that you see on the tier 2 entrance.

being able to buy snipes that roam your guild hall, you can buy as many as you want so if you have enough you can fill your entire guild hall and never feel lonely!

I agree the guild hall should definitely hold more functionality than it does, here's some ideas:

-Crafting should come at a minor discount in guildhall (gives players an incentive to start and remain in a guild)

-Guild bank, many players work together in guilds; why not make a guild bank where you can dump your materials and cash, ce etc. have some pages of Guild bank that you can set permissions i.e. officers only etc. to prevent ninja'ing

-purchaseable guildhall upgrades like the OP mentioned with snipes, vendor, vanity interior design, secretary is awesome idea, have a gate to clockworks that you can deposit minerals into so that your guild can vote on the maps they'd like to see instead of having to conform to the generic poison, shock combo that inevitably comes out of every new gate nowadays with people constantly hitting auto-sell and not caring what levels they're generating.

A note for the devs to consider is that if some of the upgrades had a bit of a CE cost to them (nothing should be equal to the initial 500ce cost of creating a guild though) this would result in people having to buy more CE = more cash for devs, devs like more cash right? Everyone's happy.

PS: secretary should be on a wage; you can hire out different ones for X number of crowns per week and they quit their job if you don't have enough in the guild bank come pay day, better secretaries like "mum" for instance (americans can say mom if they wish) send you a useable item "lunchbox" on your first run of each day to fully restore all your health just one time, but mum isn't an easy secretary to get a hold of; she doesnt cost as much as some but you have to get one of those really nifty achievements to unlock her in the job candidate list!!

I'm a guild master and I'm all for this, I love the secretary feature maybe he or she could announce promotions in the ranks, announce guild auctions or official changes in the guild and I would definitely fork up some of my cash for my own gate I'm sick and tired of having to say "wait here ill invite you" we can just hop on in I mean our guild halls are already in the clockworks so why not?

i smiled when i read this, great idea!

i like this as well, but i have some suggestions.

as incentive to put into the guild "vault" (i would rather use the term vault because it sounds better to me) guildies get a bonus, be it a item they can buy or something. say after donating 25000 crowns you can buy special guild related items like a guild cape or something. the guild master can upgrade the cape with his/her own crowns/energy.

the guild vault could have its own mist tank and could bring in mist on its own that the guild members could take from. to keep from it getting emptied too quickly it would most likely absorb mist more quickly and/or have a much larger max.

-purchaseable guildhall upgrades like the OP mentioned with snipes, vendor, vanity interior design, secretary is awesome idea, have a gate to clockworks that you can deposit minerals into so that your guild can vote on the maps they'd like to see instead of having to conform to the generic poison, shock combo that inevitably comes out of every new gate nowadays with people constantly hitting auto-sell and not caring what levels they're generating.

i like the mineral dumping as well, but to make it better, let all the minerals go through the guild leader and he can set them up as he wishes, and then give crowns to the people who dump em.

PS: secretary should be on a wage; you can hire out different ones for X number of crowns per week and they quit their job if you don't have enough in the guild bank come pay day, better secretaries like "mum" for instance (americans can say mom if they wish) send you a useable item "lunchbox" on your first run of each day to fully restore all your health just one time, but mum isn't an easy secretary to get a hold of; she doesnt cost as much as some but you have to get one of those really nifty achievements to unlock her in the job candidate list!!

i like this as well, maybe the devs could even have a few contests for people to make their own secretaries!

Copypasta

Just copying my say from my initial post:

-Adding a Guild Bank so people could deposit Crowns, Crystal Energy and Materials that could be accessed by guild members with certain levels within the guild.

Now I know what you're saying: "But Coheed, what if someone gets hacked and steals everything?" Well, here's my fix for that.

Do not let them withdraw it once it is taken out. Allow the Crowns and Crystal Energy to be used for Upgrades and as a substitute for Tabs when people run low on energy during a run. Otherwise, once the Crowns and Energy is deposited, it is there for good. It makes it a careful thought and also gives Guild Leaders a way of seeing "Hey, who is contributing to the guild and how?" possibly via a Log that tracks who deposits what.

The Materials of course could be withdrawn through the Guild Bank based on tabs for how rare the item is, maybe limiting the type of material you can deposit to only 3 stars or lower so no really rare materials can be deposited and taken by a greedy officer or member. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Coheed, we have unlimited space in our inventory. Why would we need a bank?"

Simply put: We're NOT always online playing. What if a member needs something but can't afford it. They can't use the crowns to buy auctions from the guild bank by the way, those are only to pay for armor/weapon upgrades. That's where the guild bank would come in.

Random Guild Member: "Oh, I needed 5 green shards to upgrade my cutter. Now I can because it's in the guild bank!"

The key to making this successful so people cannot take advantage of it is Moderation. Do not put too much in to the guild bank that you will regret it. Just enough for new players or players who need a slight boost to get a sort of "Free Get Out Of Jail Card" so to speak.

the guild master can buy

the guild master can buy decorations like flags, statues, fountains, etc. to customize your guild hall. this will cost crowns.

- you will have the option change the guild's name for like if u mess up the spelling ex: someone spelled knights "kniights" or if u get tiered of it. this will cost crowns and/or energy.

-a guild symbol and color. when u buy the symbol it will be a default grey or white then u can buy a color(s) for it. crowns and/or ce. the symbol will appear on right of the guild name under your player's name tag. and on the guild's flags.

- the guild master will be able to purchase different sized guild halls and backgrounds these will cost crowns. each size will have a limited amout of how many decorations the guild master can put in it.

- the guild master will be able to buy uniform ponchos with the symbol and the guild's color. once the guild master unlocks this guild members will be able to buy it from the uniform desk or something this will cost crowns

- the guild master can buy a bank which all guild members can put crowns and energy into it which will go to all guild upgrades

How about the the guild

How about the the guild master can relabel the ranks and the ranks could be displayed by the type of uniform guildies are allowed to wear.

How about this

Here's my contribution:

-Interactive furniture. Maybe a chair that increases the refresh rate of Mist Energy?

-There should be a donations tab, in the sense that the more money you donate to the guild the better the guild hall looks. Every time someone donates money/ce, a bar is raised. The higher the bar is, the more stuff is unlocked. A lounge chair, a dueling arena and maybe even a personal vendor that has discounts ( which would also increase the more money is donated).

If you take a look at the guild hall now you'll notice it's pretty untidy. Imagine watching that untidy guild hall slowly become fancy and full of things that help benefit the guild.

-There should definitely be a notice board that members can post on. They could put up item requests and maybe even Dungeon run times.

lol the interactive furniture if anything would just be aesthetically sitting on it... no increases in anything or people would abuse it hardcore

unfortunately

admins just dont care about this they are just finding for better ways to constatly force the players to buy energy,i highly doubt that something like this would ever happen
