Pets
Ok, I've seen a lot of not-so-in-depth suggestions for pets, so I'll try to make mine have as much detail as possible.
There would be three ways of getting these pets.
1) Through a special merchant. This merchant will only sell basic pets like shuffle-bots and snipes of varying colours. Probably for crowns.
2) Picking up the dead carcass of defeated monsters. Sounds a bit gruesome, but the icon will be like the materials icon. There will be a VERY small chance of the carcass appearing as a drop. Once you have the carcass, take it to the same merchant and spend (probably 300) energy to revive it as a pet.
3) Through mail for special events. Like the Gourdlings for the dark festival etc.
ALL pets will be purely for looks.
The pets can always be out (even in the clockworks) and will just stick around near your body if you lose all your health. (Except PvP)
As for the entities, you can walk through them.
You can only have one out at a time.
Not sure whether to make them trade-able over the AH. Probably yes.
The pets will go in a separate slot for your spiral knight.
I think I have covered everything. This idea is open to CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM and ideas.
Fire away.

Sounds like a pretty cool idea and theres not any really negatives about it. I'm on board with it it'd be awesome to have a gourdling folloing me around :p. I would also like the option to name them and maaaybe this is probably very unlikely.. if they were be able to carry certain items. Strictly only vials or hearts and other support items no swords, shields, guns, armor or bombs and all that.

I would like a mini spookat or zombie... with a green gas cloud... I is the Plaguerider...

I think it would be funny, if you could feed them some mats and they would react in some way, for an hour or so.
For example:
If you feed them Sharp Fang, they would snap around, but not causing damage, of course.
If you feed them Warp Dust, they would move faster.
If you feed them Torchstone, they would spit fire.
... and you better not feed them Blast Powder!

I think that pets can make a good cosmetic item, just like accessories. People will just want to have them, so it should boost the ce market. The only problem with this is that it may be another one of those silver/shadow key dilemmas...
Or here's an even better idea:

ive posted the idea of having it as a aura accessory, if you are interested.
And I forgot about possible rare pets for the people to complete shadow lairs. Maybe mini Snarby's or Ice Queens's.
