Just suggesting this as a side job for a wiki-editor, it would be nice if someone could collect the posted the Fan art and stories posted in the Treasure Vault and make put them in a dedicated wiki section cause they are inevitably buried under new threads and forgotten, would be nice to have a place where peoples work can be appreciated regardless of how long ago they made it.
FanArt/FanFiction Section
I would strongly argue against this. The point of the wiki is to chronicle the in-game data. While fanfic and such are wonderful and nice and all that, I'd be very surprised if they belonged on the wiki.

As for Fan Art, it depends on if the artist would like to upload it since uploading to the wiki releases the work under the wiki license (CC BY-NC-SA) http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/.
A namespace is in the works for creative fan works, but until then fan fiction should be in posts or other web hosting. Links to works may be added to the above list page.
Ah, right. I must've mised the page of links. Thanks, Equinox.
so IF an artist said it was okay then their work could be placed on the wiki? I'm pretty sure most would be more then happy too.
How do people find there way to that fanfic page anyways?
Now that we've got a section for creative things, I've added a sticky about the list http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/31584
For artists, they're going to need to have an account that can login on the wiki (meaning a non-Steam account), even if they are not the one uploading the artwork. In the upload summary box the following text should be used to add a tag to the image: {{Fan art|Artistaccountname}} Due to the copyright issue, account name should be used so that the artist can login on the wiki to request the image be deleted if they didn't approve/give permission. It's generally preferable if the artist uploads the image from their own account since they are the copyright holder.
brilliant :), will probably need to make a separate 'gallery' section for artwork and 'library' for written work. If it gets big enough would you consider making a direct link to it on the main wiki page?
That's nice. Since this post is late (I'm guessing) someone has already made a gallery. Am i right?
unfortunately no :(, I've been meaning to get around to doing it myself, but I haven't found the time to get away from my Spiral Spy work :P
i need more people to help me paste stories on the list. there's just to much of them.
HALP!!!! I MEAN, HELP!!!!
I was wondering if it might be better to list Fan Fiction in a different order? As it stands, the list is by author alphabetically and is currently at 38 sections listed and will continue to grow from there. Would it be better to do it as just 1) alphabetically A-Z with 26 sections and then order it by author name and their fan fiction or 2) A-Z listed by title. Here's an example what I mean:
Ex 1
==List of Fan Fiction==
A
_____
Aperson's Fanfiction
>>List
Azebra's Fan Fiction
>>List
B
_____
Bperson's Fanfiction
>>List
-----------------------------------------------------
Ex 2
==List of Fan Fiction==
A
_____
All the Gremlins by Author 1
Animals and Plants of the Clockworks by Author 2
B
_____
Beneath Cradle by Author 3
Breaking the Sound Barrier by Author 2
Just some thoughts.
I was wondering too, should there be a fanon main page which would describe what fan fiction/art/fanon is with link to the Fan Fic list, Fan Art section, etc?
((I'm willing to help clean stuff up or add pages regarding the above))
If I posted people's work, credited them properly, did *NOT* upload their work to the wiki under my account and only referenced it as an external URL link, AND then waited to see if they come and protest or not, would I get in trouble?
Something like what I've got going here, but without having to wait for the artist to come and give their expressed permission to me:

Not sure if posting their work on the forum here already makes it "public" as anyone could just copy images from here.
Posting other people's work on the forums technically is also not a good idea because doing so gives Three Rings certain rights to the content of the forums in the Terms of Service. http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Terms_of_Service#7._Content
Simply making a database just for Fanfics/fanart. Good idea.
