((I have been busy with an extensive research paper for the past week, which is now finished.))
Tallith was in an especially happy mood today. The sigils on his body were glowing brightly, an indicator of his emotions. As he sped along the single rail of the Gun Puppy Transport System on his way to the TCR meeting scheduled, he started daydreaming. This wasn't like him, as he was always attentive. He didn't notice where he was going, and started driving down an old, decrepit tunnel. He snapped out of his daydream and noticed where he was. He started feeling frightened as he sped down the tunnel. He noticed an opening ahead and slowed down. He popped his head up and saw a magnificent sight. Before him was a gigantic altar, the Starlight Altar. He looked around him and saw trees growing everywhere without a monster in sight. He was in Starlight Cradle, a sacred place locked in time. On the altar before him was a inky black crystal, floating in the air spewing dark energies. Tallith brought out his camera and took a picture of the dark crystal. He brought up his display and noticed that he would be late for the meeting of TCR. He popped back into the tunnel and set his auto-pilot function earlier Gun Puppy models had to the Treasure Vault. After a while, he started slowing down and popped up into the Treasure Vault above him. A couple members glanced briefly at him, and then looked at the speaker, who was saying something about a Void. Suddenly, his Heads Up Display started blinking rapidly. He started looking around for the cause, and then looked up. He saw a metal box falling towards the meeting. He yelped and everyone looked up just as the box crashed.
The Clockwork Renegades <[Final goodbye? :(]>
((Been busy as well, but I'm back!))
Alanis, for the fifth time that month, resented the fact that there were no turret grates for her to appear in inside Treasure Vaults. It didn't help either that a large metal box had crashed in the Vault, sending debris all over her emerging-hole. In fact, Alanis was up to her snout in rusty, smoking parts. "Who in the name of Roarmulus was that?" she yipped. A small chunk of debris, late in landing, fell directly on Alanis' head. "Ow!"
The Love Puppy looked around at the rubble, processing the moving figures on the other side of the metal. She counted one, two, three- oh no, the majority of the Rebels were here. "Am I late again?"
Good thing I had noticed the box falling, or else I would have been blown into a million pieces. When I poked my head out from the hole, there was a huge pile of smoking debris. I shook the dust off myself and looked at the wreckage. Different creatures were beginning to recover, and the only one that hadn't come to yet was... no one.
"Wait a minute", I thought as I spotted a speck of purple out of the corner of my eye. It looked like a Greaver wing. I burrowed down into the tunnel and popped up next to it. I grabbed the wing in my mouth and started to pull. After a while, the TCR member, Scourge, who had been missing for almost 2 cycles, emerged unconscious from the pile. I swung him onto my back, and inspected the pile of metal he had come from. My analysis showed that it was a monster cage that fell.
"So that's where he's been...", I murmured. I made my way on to the grass and laid him down. I analyzed his health and vital systems. They read Moderately Damaged. I knew this would escalate to Serious, but I didn't know how to heal him. I played peaceful music to try and wake him up. I tried every genre, but to no avail. I was at a loss at what to do. I had to help him, somehow.
((Litterbit, unless you were given permission by Lordofnecromancers, you cannot control any part of his character's history. He said absolutely nothing to suggest that he was already part of T.C.R. Try not to let that happen too much. Also, wait a little longer before posting. Have 2 other players post before you do so as to make sure that no one gets left behind. Look, no one else has even had the time to react to the cage falling from the sky.
I'm just waiting for necroterra to reply to my character. If necroterra does not reply soon, then I will take slight control of his character to cut the conversation short so Rultaos can react to the falling cage))
((Sorry about not posting for a while. My schedule is very irregular and sometimes I don't have the time to come up with a worthwhile post. I also misread your last post, Azure, and I thought that Rultaos was walking away and letting Torx deliberate for a while, but I guess he wasn't.))
"Go ahead and see what all the commotion is about, Rultaos, I will think about my candidates."
Torx took the opportunity of the brief intermission caused by the roof collapse to check back with Ezylana about the Searcher Cube. He wanted to know if there was anymore information to know, both about the locations of the fragments and about the lockdown in The Great Colony.
"Hello? Ezylana?" Torx spoke into his comm device.
"What is it, Torx? They have stated to take people away already, and I can't have Them thinking I am am apart of it."
"A part of what? Whats going on there?"
"You mean you haven't heard?" Ezylana said with more than a little disbelief, "The rebellion that started and was crushed in less than an hour?"
"No. And I assume that by They, you mean the Crimson Order?"
"Yes." Ezylana stated solemnly.
"Well, quick before they get suspicious: do you have any info about the Searcher cube?"
"Actually, I was able to find a little more about the whereabouts of the pieces, but most of them are still encrypted. I was only able to decipher one of them. It says: 'The first piece shall stand where the manor of the dead once did.' I am not completely sure about this, but I think this means that you need to search under Moorcraft manor. You should talk to Konjuring Kat, maybe he knows something about the old ruins -- I heard he's been there the longest. Uh oh, the inspection is almost at my place. I have to go, but first I will transmit the other locations."
Torx said good bye and watched as the encrypted locations scrolled past the screen. They were bizarre, and he could make no sense whatsoever from them. For a moment, he thought a little too fast and could feel the Void encroaching on his thoughts again. He had kept it completely in check for a long time, and it was strange to hear the deafeningly loud silence that was the Void at the back of his mind. Shuddering, he quickly composed himself and banished it from his head, hopefully forever.
*****************************************************
After some deliberation, he decided on a lest of candidates to go to Moorcraft Manor:
Rultaos, Q-77 "Fridge", Alanis, Test subject 13 ,Blue ((is blue a part of the TCR? If not, then ignore this)), and Tallith. He would tell Rultaos of his decision once he returned ((assuming you are going to go check out the collapse))
((Also, I hope it is okay that since I dont get to partake in any of the action, I play the roles of the minor characters, such as Konjuring Kat, and others, when not directly applicable too someone else's post))
((Ugh, so busy... I hate the ends of semesters.
@Dyrus So Maiden's Tears are radioactive? Probably wasn't a good idea for Almirian wives to give them to their husbands eh?
@Azure-Orbit, actually, it can be plausible that Scourge the Greaver is indeed part of the T.C.R., mostly because he already knows about the meeting and all that, so I think Littlerbit's post is fine unless Lordofnecromancers says otherwise.))
Q-77 jumped slightly at the loud crashing noise, looking up just in time to see a square object crash into the floor from the hole in the ceiling. He stared at the wreck for a second before rushing over to see what the commotion was about. In the middle of the wreckage lay a strange purplish creature with wings and bright teal markings. Although he had never seen such a creature before, his data banks indicated that this was a Beryl Greaver. Interesting. A little Slush Puppy was already attempting to help the poor injured thing, and others were coming to help it as well. Still, he kept his distance this time despite wanting to get a better look at it... He'd rather not have a repeat of what happened to Mr. Gremlin.
((I am quite interested in what awaits us in Moorcraft))
((@Za-Ck. I suppose you are right, thanks for correcting me. However, we do still need Lordofnecromancers to confirm it before we start using it in the story))
Rultaos nodded in acknowledgement at Torx's reply and then went off to where the renegades had gathered, even Takun went to see what happened. He saw a broken cage, Alanis covered in debris, an unconscious Greaver, and a slush puppy trying to help the said Greaver. [It can't possibly get any weirder than this]. He walked over to the scene and addressed Alanis first. "You just can't seem to stay out of trouble can you?" He said half-jokingly. He then turned his attention to the Slush puppy and Greaver. "Alanis try to help the Greaver. I need a mender over here as well!" He said to the crowd. Soon enough a Gremlin mender emerged and started working on the wounded creature. Rultaos remained to oversee the recovery.
The Greaver did seem familiar though, he would have some questions to ask when he woke up.
((Wrote this in a hurry which is why it's kind of short))
((@Za-Ck Maiden's tear is a focus lens, not the power source. it is at the exact angle that can maximize the effect+efficiency of the laser))
((I won't be coming up for a while coz I am moving. Will take a while to get the internet again. Until then)
((****As Konjuring Kat, hope there is no problem with this****))
Konjuring Kat ((Kat for short)) was tired of it. He was tired of always getting questioned about the mysterious runes and bones behind him. He really wasn't doing anything. But they obviously wanted him to do some sort of dark ritual, so he would.
He stepped out of the alcove and stretched, or did as much as a Kat can.
"Hello, would you like a cup of Miserably bland and cold despair juice?" one of the skeletons called.
"No, thank you." Kat had not moved from his alcove in almost 60,000 cycles, but he hadn't forgotten how bad a cup of Moorcraft's drinks taste to even the undead.
He glided down the halls and onto a side walkway, father close to the edge of Moorcraft. He peered over the edge and muttered something about being glad float.
Before he had retreated to his alcove, he had explored almost every inch of the manor, and as he was the oldest denizen (he certainly didn't look it though), he was the only one who had fully seen the ruins of the ancient manor.
Because once, Moorcraft had been more, much much more than a hotel for undead and a pit-stop for Knights. It had been a great institute of knowledge, where scholars could come and pore through tomes for hundreds of years without aging. This of course made it attractive to undead creatures as well.
He reached the end of the seemingly innocent walkway, turned, and shot a small energy burst at the wall. I t triggered an old wheel trigger, and a section of the wall slid open. Kat descended into the long, dark staircase, one which went down for several thousand feet.
He arrived at the massive library that stored more knowledge than the collective creatures of Cradle and began to make his way over to the section on ancient rituals. Along the way, he passed great sections like 'The Workings of Gravity,' 'Techniques on Beating the Trappings of Time,' and 'The Meaning of Immortality,' as well as other such as 'Tea Brewing' and even on whole row entitled 'How not to make you House Guest commit Suicide because your Decor was just that Bad!" Weird.
It was an arduous task making it over to the rituals section (which was, of course, at the back of the library), even without the mountains of books and decrepit bookcases blocking the paths. Finally, after an enumerable amount of time, he reached the shelves and began to browse.
********************************************************************************
((many, many, many hours later))
"Finally!!!" Kat exclaimed, his voice echoing down the library for miles. "I have found the perfect ritual!! Diabolical and clever, yet safe and harmless! This oughta make those knights content with their pesky demands for rituals."
He stepped over to was he imagined was once a reading area, and cleared a plot of ground. Once that was done, he drew some complex runes and shapes on the ground, and began to chant the incantation. It stretch over many pages, and took him a good half -hour to read.
But he made one mistake. To another, it would have sounded like "Meow meow mewo meeoouw meow" instead of "Meow meeow meow," but it translated from "bring that which shadows the destroyers" ((pretend to be)) to "bring that which destroys the shadows.
Finished, he stepped back from the circle and waited for the effects of the ritual to take place. But instead, the darkness seemed to fold in on itself, converging on a single point, until it exploded, leaving only pure white and knocking Konjuring Kat unconscious.
((There shouldn't be any damage to the room within a few hours, so by the time TCRs get there, all that will show that something happened will be an open book, a slight scorch mark, and a small white sphere lying at the center of the explosion))
((Xairathan, Litterbit, I need you one of you to post. My character is just overseeing the recovery and not helping in any way; other than calling for the help of a mender. By the way, I'm wondering where Atgatg went. He/She never said anything about the absence. If you're looking for ideas on what to write, you can say that your den was the one The Defiler attacked and the Gremlins were the recon team.
Also, sorry for not saying anything earlier about the NPC control Necroterra. Feel free to take control of some important NPC's we may meet as long as it doesn't affect the plot too greatly. I do still check my in-game mail in case you guys plan to send ideas))
Name: Vakros
Race: Ironclaw Mender
Gender: Male
Personality: He is caring towards his fellow teammates, but is tired and irritable, and commonly snaps at other for the slightest thing.
Appearance: He looks like all Ironclaw Menders, but with the Renegades symbol on his hood instead of the classic gremlin emblem.
Equipment: Like all Menders he has a wrench, which he treasures. It is kept in excellent condition, and if you even THINK about touching it, there’s going to be a problem.
Skills: He is is fairly good at healing, and will always be by a downed friends side.
Biography: Vakros lived in Emberlight most of his life, and grew up around the knights coming and going. One day, he took his father’s old Mender equipment, and set out with a group of knights to Haven, much against his fathers will. When in the market, Vakros learned of the Knights plight, and decided to help in anyways he could. At first he worked with Vise, but felt like he needed to take a more direct approach to the task. So when he met Takun, he joined the Renegades as fast as he could.
Additional facts: Vakros became good friends with a knight called Matel during his time in Haven. He loves the taste of roasted Silkwing, and strangely would rather heal an organic being than fix a construct.
Suggestions: Not really, this seems like a nice RP.
Seal of the Rebellion: T.C.R.
((If my app gets accepted, the mender that was called in to help Scourge would be Vakros.)
I took the little greaver off my back as a Gremlin mender approached the wreckage of the cage crash. I laid Scourge gently on the ground as to not injure him more than he already was. I then moved out of the way to let more capable people heal him. As the meeting had been interrupted, I had not the chance to report my findings of a shadowy crystal in Starlight Cradle. I decided to investigate it once more, and popped back in to the ground and sped off. I turned into various tunnels innumerable times, and yet again, started daydreaming. Once again, my lack of attention brought me into the old tunnels covered in vines. I slowed down and popped my head up in the hole. And once again, I saw that magnificent altar. But something was off. The sigils that were carved in the stone of the altar were glowing eerily, and there also was a magic pentagram like the ones I saw Konjuring Kat draw in his spare time. The whole thing seemed to be... alive. Even I could tell with my limited aura sensing that this was black magic, but much more powerful... and deadly. I recorded another picture of it to show to the T.C.R. or that crazy Gremlin that keeps talking about the void. Suddenly, the sigils grew brighter, much brighter, and runes appeared on the crystal. The pentagram grew brighter and shadowy particles started enveloping the altar and the area around it. When it started moving towards me, I quickly descended into the tunnel and sped off, wondering how much time Cradle had left.
((Isisdelltion is accepted, and yes you can be the mender called in to assist :) ))
Vakros stepped forward, and began tending to the Greaver in front of him. Greavers always made Vakros hungry, perhaps because of their resemblance to Silkwings. Both of the wings were sprained, but not too badly. As he worked, he thought bout the trip he took to get to the meeting. All had gone as planned. He was going to go into the clockworks searching for scrap metal but would “get lost”. The strange thing is, is that on his way he found a piece of mineral. It was unlike any type of crystal he had ever seen. It was jet black, with swirling purple runes glowing out of it. “Creepy,” He thought, “I can just feel that this thing is seriously evil.” He decided to show it to Rultoas as soon as the chance aroused. For now he would just keep it in his pocket.
The next mornng Vakros felt strangely, just... not like himself. Like he didn't really fit into his own skin. He walked over to a shard of a mirror that he had found in the clockworks. His fur, which had always been brown, like most Gremlins, was a dark gray color, almost black. His pupals, which always had been blue, were a deep purple, like that of Dark Matter. His wrench, which had carried a green crystal in the past now held a mineral like the one he had found. The original stone was sitting by his bed, and dark particles swirled around it. He decided to give the strange object to Rultoas immediately. ((Azure Orbit, the next time you post please include Vakros and Rultoas's conversation, as I don't know how he would react to Vakros))
((I see little activity here, I don't know if it's too early for me to post another story thingy, just to "jazz" things up?))
I couldn't find a mineral match for the dark crystal in Starlight Cradle, even after scouring my hard drive, and that says a lot. Hell, I'm 100,000 cycles old! As I was sitting in the T.C.R.'s Gun Puppy Rejuvadock ((a Rejuvadock is basically a charging station)), I pondered and pondered about this crystal. What were those purple runes on it? What was that pentagram doing there? I started shutting down all the processes I had running, so I could charge fully for more adventuring later.

As I started up, and my display turned on, I felt... different. Like I had done a large software update the night before. I wanted to look at myself, so I shot an iceball at a nearby wall, to create a mirror, and what I saw disturbed me. The light blue metal I was made of had turned a steely gray, and the bright blue lines all over my body had turned to purple runes, like that on the crystal. And my eyes had gone from a deep blue to a dark purple. Even the fire on my head was a black. I analysed the crystal, and found it was the cause of my new appearance. I made a new entry in my hard drive.

I decided to get together with Rualtos to talk about this crystal, and it's mysterious effects.
((You have permission to take control of my character when talking about the crystal.))
Name: Snarp
Race:Quicksilver
Gender: Er...I'm pretty sure slimes are androgynous.
Personality: Calm and charismatic.
Appearance: A regular T2 Quicksilver, but with a glowing turqoise aura around it.
Equipment: Spines and its slimy mass.
Skills: A genetic mutation allows Snarp to shift from Quicksilver to Silver Polyp form to guard an area. Snarp has the regular abilities for each form.
Biography: One of the inhabitants of a faraway planet of gelatinous creatures, Snarp and many others were chosen to place themselves in several large meteor like craft that would be launched out to space to find a new planet to colonize. Several cycles later, the craft were pulled into the gravitational field of Cradle. As Snarp's craft plummeted down, it started to burn due to its speed and some of the gases in the atmosphere. Snarp's comrades chose to absorb the heat, turning into Oilers. Snarp, however, clung on to its silvery, conductive form, and the heat that reached it was forced to dissipate. However, the extreme heat produced radiation, mutating the gene inside Snarp that restricted all Slimes to their respective form. Snarp's one-of-a-kind power was used in defending the Clockworks in its first few months there, but then Snarp realized that the Knights were simply stranded on this planet and letting them achieve their mission was the only way this would end, and they could get there either through peaceful coordination, or all-out war. Snarp soon found TCR, which was made of people who (mostly)shared Snarp's ideals, and joined. Snarp believes that they can convince the entire Clockworks to cooperate with the knights, no matter how many times they smacked Snarp to the point of seeping back into the ground to re-form somewhere else.
Additional facts: Snarp feeds on grass. All the grass he walks(?) over is absorbed and turned to nutrients. Nom nom nom.
Suggestions: Nuffin. Dis roleplay is tops. Oh, and if there is something wrong, tell me so i can /fixit. I await your response.
Seal of the Rebellion: T.C.R.
((It seems to me that this roleplay is going really slowly, but these forums aren't the most active))
((Littlerbit and or Isisdelltion, can you message 'that crazy Gremlin that keeps talking about the void' about what you want the the crystals and change in appearances mean? I assume it is supposed to be part of the whole Void thing, but i don't want to mess it up if your trying to make a tangent.))
****Inside the palace of the Great Colony****
The crimson order have no names. They are identical -- indistinguishable from one another. The Void doesn't care. It prefers it that way.
One of these converted gremlins, decked out in armor that makes Vog Cub look like paper, was speaking to the Mind. The others stood silently behind. ((The central collective 'brain' of the Void, as each piece has a tiny bit of intelligence -- but it adds up when in contact))
"Why did you call us here?"
The Void, having no method of vocal communication, 'spoke' by placing messages in its subjects' minds.
They know. They must be eliminated before they realize the extent of what is to happen. If they learn of the Plan, all is lost.
"But how are we to stop them, if we must remain subtle? We cannot simply kill them all, or else the Knights of the surface would know."
We must turn them against each other. There is one... he is the one that drives them... he is the one that knows most... he is the one that is most dangerous to our existence... HE must be converted. Wait till he is alone... and then strike. No one will know... not until it is far, far too late.
With that the Void sent them on their mission of destruction. Stepping back from the platform on which the speak to the Mind, they melted into shadows and darted away, silent, unstoppable killers.
Go my children... no one can stop the inevitable, as it is fate. We will win this fight. We cannot lose. And, when the Plan is complete, ALL will fall. *insert evil laugh here*
((I am worried that if we send everybody together to wherever Rualtos sees fit, it will be too crowded and too hard for everybody to post effectively w/out getting in each others way.))
((Well... I've been waiting until Azure-Orbit continues this thread a bit before posting again, but it looks like he is currently occupied with something. I guess I will just post a small something in the meantime, I am not sure what he wants to do with the thread next.))
Q-77 stepped off of the elevator alongside the rest of his team and took a look around at the dreary scenery. He saw that they were in some sort of strange place shrouded with mist... kinda spooky really. Then again, he supposed that this was the sort of atmosphere Undead types of monsters loved. He was supposed to look for a Kat commonly known as the "Konjuring Kat" to seek his advice. However, he didn't seem to be anywhere to be found. Q-77 decided to look around and see if he could find any clue to his whereabouts. He eventually stumbled upon what looked like a secret entrance in the wall, and called over the rest of the team to help him investigate. As they headed down the tunnel, they began to see a glimmering light up ahead. What could it be? ((The light is coming from the sphere that the ritual had produced))
((I hope this is good enough and I haven't gone too far yet))
((Sorry for the delay in RP'ing, Christmas has been hectic and I couldn't get the time to make my imagination flow. I'll try to address the black crystal, but I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, since you didn't send any messages to me, at least the last time I checked my inbox. Also, I'm going to assume that cycle means day, forgive my lack of Spiral Knights lore if I am incorrect.
Xplad, you are accepted. Welcome to the renegades. Feel free to begin posting))
The people who were sent to investigate Moorcraft were split into two teams. The first team was led by Rultaos, and the second team was led by Fridge (as weird as that would seem). Rultaos' team was searching inside Moorcraft itself while Fridge's team scouted outside of the Manor. Rultaos and his team investigated every corner of the Manor. Luckily, they had spoken to the Spiral Warden beforehand and were able to make sure that all Knights that passed through would be redirected to the foyer and elevator room of Moorcraft to make sure that their search would not be interrupted. As he examined every book and every corner, Rultaos thought back to the unnerving event only a quarter of a cycle ago.
*A few hours ago
Rultaos awoke in his tent and immediately equipped his sword and shield. He could still remember the events of the last cycle. Aside from Alanis and Vakros, the other people who gave medical attention to the Greaver said he would be asleep for quite a while and in no condition to be questioned. [That Greaver really did look familiar and a lot of members said he was the missing Beryl Greaver, but you can't always trust rumors] Rultaos thought to himself. Just as he was about to exit his tent, two figures suddenly appeared before him: Vakros, the mender from the previous cycle, and Tallith the slush puppy who appeared from a grate near his bed.
The two of them however looked, different. They were grey and had an eerie feel to their presence. "What happened to you two?" Rultaos asked. Vakros and Tallith explained about the mysterious crystal and presented it to the Trojan. Rultaos took the crystals and began examining them. "I don't know where they came from, but they look a lot like Trojan crystals, the crystals that keep us alive. But these are, different. They don't feel like they give off life, they feel as if they give off corruption, and by the looks of it you two have already been affected" He paused and continued. "Tell me, have you been experiencing any changes in your personality, any mood swings?" Rultaos asked. When the two answered no, he continued. "I don't know if my theory on this is correct so we'll need someone else, someone who knows more about the history of the clockworks. I suggest we show this to Konjuring Kat when we get to Moorcraft Manor".
*A few hours later
That was when Rultaos remembered [Where was Konjuring Kat?] there was no trace of the Spookat ever since they had entered Moorcraft Manor. Rultaos spoke into a comm unit given to him by a Gremlin mechanic who looked like he had walked through an electrical field ((References! XD)) . It would allow the two teams to stay in contact with each other. He activated his unit, set it to the mecha knight's frequency, and spoke "Fridge, can you hear me? Listen, if you find Konjuring Kat or anything of interest, report to me immediately. Just reminding you in case it slips your memory. By the way, my team hasn't found anything yet. If we don't get something soon, we'll need to abort the mission, The Spiral Order is already pulling a lot of strings just to let us search this place". Rultaos then waited for a reply from the Cryo knight.
((I chose Za-ck as the team leader since he seems to be the most active RP'er, aside from Necroterra. You guys decide what team you are on))
((I have to study for finals this week but I'll be back RP-ing by next Friday! Sorry for the absence >.<))
((I am going to be gone for the next 4 days, so I wont post. I should have said that, and I hate to make a whole post just to. Go ahead and control my character if you need to. And you guys will have to wait and see who will be converted!!))
Vakros was annoyed. Not at anything really, except Cradle itself. What was he, an infected gremlin, like Torx, or something worst? Now that the stupid crystal was in Rultoas's hands, he should have nothing to fear, right? But what if he was going to turn on his comrades or ruin the mission? He was dangerous to have around on the Moorcraft trip and he knew it. But anyways, where was the Kat they were seeking? He couldn't find him anywhere. He uncovered a large sarcophagus to a zombie jumping on his face. He rolled backwards a barely dodged it claws. they circled each other, looking for holes in their enemy's defence. The zombie charged at Vakros, but he side stepped, and dealt the zombie a blow to the face. When he turned, he saw the poor zombie with dark particles circling him, engulfing him in black. A pitiful wail echoed in the chamber as Vakros look on with horror. Then in a flash of shadow, he was gone. Vakros looked at himself, then at the nothingness before him. What had he done? He couldn't tell anybody about it, an just be like a normal mender. By would anyone want to be healed by a corrupted soul like him? More importantly, what would his heal do now that he was strange? He didn't even know what he was anymore. If I just hadn't picked up that stupid crystal, I would be just a regular mender, but was that what he wanted? The only reason he was at Moorcraft was because of the crystal. Should he fight his creepy new powers, or embrace them?

Scourge opened his eyes, and moaned. His body felt sore all over, and light blasted into his eye, making it shut close again. He slowly opened it again and blinked rapidly.
"Blargh..." Scourge muttered, as recent memories began flowing into his mind again. "Stupid Knight..."
He tried to get up into a sitting (I don't think Greavers can sit, actually.)position, and felt a flash of pain in his wings.
"Augh..." Scourge winced as he lied back down. He must have hurt his wings pretty bad. They were probably broken. Sprained, at the least.
He looked around at his surroundings. He was lying on a soft bed in a tent of some kind, probably at the TCR meeting. I hope I didn't kill anyone... Scourge thought as he remembered his Monster Cage crashing into the meeting.
Srry for short chapter. Currently sort of out of ideas.
((Faronel, unfortunately I'm going to have to deny you. Don't get me wrong, it's an ok character but... I said that I will not accept anymore construct applications. Also, your character just seems, I don't know, too much of a hero? I just found your character a little too like-able and his skills make him very versatile. It is not in any way overpowered, but you sort of made a hero character.
Feel free to make another app, but with a different species, and keep in mind the things I've said
Also, does anyone know where Atgatg went off to? He/she never said anything about the absence and unless I get some notification soon I'm removing him/her from the RP))
Defiler fired his arm cannon. Bright beam of laser and and some missiles flew out. The beam disintegrated few gremlins who were unfortunate enough to stand in its way. The missile opened, and fired few more smaller missiles. Hordes of micro missiles exploded on the Factory's walls which started to turn green. Defiler punched the ground which grew fields of spikes, impaling gremlins. The gremlin that looks like the Director of the Factory shouted in panic, 'Stop him at all cost!!!' and ran to the escape pod. 10 Crimson Order Gremlins surrounded Defiler. He only smiled and drew a Spiral Knight sword that is now green with poison. He slashed it once. Blood flew and Crimson Order Gremlins fell. Rest of the gremlins fled in terror. The mighty beast entered the factory. That's right. He just raided the Royal Factory. He looked around. There it was. The Gremlonium. The Second part of the Dimensional Distorter. The power source. He held the rock carefully. It was capable of ripping time and space so he must make sure that it doesn't go unstable. He hurriedly returned to the Dark City, now in search of Nightmare Mane, perfect catalyst for the reaction. He knew that it must come from a Snarbolax, but how do you cut the invincible skin? He placed the gremlonium on the suspension cell, so that it wouldn't explode. He went through more books. This was gonna take him a while. Then he stopped. What was that? He looked at the window. A mysterious purple light. That was interesting. He stood up and quickly flew to the source of the light ((Konjuring Kat's ritual place))
((Azure, do you mind my character having fight with Rultaos and take the crystal? I think it would be quite nice storyline.))
I dont read this thread anymore.
IF anyone wants to they can include my skolver (Look back on page 1) in their stories. Maybe Ill still read this.
((I wouldn't mind :), just as long as nobody dies. Your character needs to get hurt too, somehow. Remember that whenever you are fighting with other players: You are NOT invincible.
Also, I decide what my character does and so do the other RP'ers, this is why in roleplaying: fights take a lot of posts, especially when there's more than 2 combatants. Everyone needs to take turns in attacking and defending themselves.))
((Would all the monsters at Moorcraft be fighting? Or would it be just Rultoas and the Defiler? Also, either of you can take control of my character, just don't have him do something too stupid. The crystal's evil powers can't work against constructs, and thus the Defiler, but Vakros obviously doesn't know that. Sorry for completely using a post without doing anything but I'm just waiting for the battle to begin.))
Snarp oozed through the dusty hallways of Moorcroft. It had been assigned, along with a Mender, a Wolver, and a Devilite to split off from the squad and search the dustier parts of Moorcroft. As they were in one particularly dusty corridor, an ominous whisper broke the silence. The team suddenly became alert, looking wildly about for the source of the noise. Snarp gingerly ventured forward, and all of a sudden a bookshelf in the wall caved in. The team looked inquisitively inside, and saw a strange jet-black crystal with an eerie purple glow. Snarp shifted to Polyp form, and told the others, "Retrieve the crystal. I'll stand guard." As the others approached it, the crystal emitted an ear-splitting wail, and several Carnavons clawed their way out of the carpeted floor. Snarp and the others engaged them in battle. A Carnavon tried to slash Snarp but received a faceful of electric thorns instead. The wolver bit off one Carnavon's arm but was hit by curse breath and forced to retreat. A storm of furniture from the Devilite knocked down the remaining Carnavons. Snarp told the others to take the crystal and the mender spoke through a communication module:"Crystal found. Similar to the reported specimens acquired recently. Will be returning to the squad shortly."
((Not feeling very creative right now, I've done better.))
((Xplad, I did say that the only people who had comm units were me and Fridge -_-. I'll edit my post to fit in, but make sure that it doesn't happen again. For now, let's just say that at least one person in every squad has a comm unit))
Rultaos suddenly heard his comm unit come to life and hoped that it was Fridge, but instead of a monotonous voice, a Gremlin spoke through the module. "Crystal found. Similar to the reported specimens acquired recently. Will be returning to the squad shortly" The voice said. "Good, get back here as fast as you can. I think it's time we regrouped" He replied to the Gremlin on the device.
While Rultaos waited for a reply from Fridge, he heard something strange (Strange at least in Moorcraft). It was the sound of wings; and it was loud. Rultaos peeked through one of the dusty windows of the manor and tried to find the source of the sound. [Where could that noise be coming from?] He thought as he scanned the misty landscape. Soon enough, he found the answer.
An indescribable creature tore through the mist surrounding Moorcraft Manor and began circling the area, almost as if it was looking for something. [What is that thing?... No, it can't be] Rultaos thought. He quickly grabbed his comm unit, put it on the frequency for the treasure vault, and began talking. "Comm station, this is commander Rultaos. I have sighted The Defiler. I repeat, The Defiler is at Moorcraft! Treasure vault can you hear me?" Rultaos said as fast as he could, hoping a reply would come in.
The first to respond was the communication Gremlin at the vault. "We hear you Rultaos. What is your recommended course of action?" The officer asked. "Send in 2 more squads, and make sure to bring along some menders. Tell all the units in Moorcraft to locate and extract Konjuring Kat and whatever gem we're looking for. No one is to engage The Defiler unless absolutely necessary!" Rultaos told the Gremlin.
He could hear the voice of a devilite speaking in the background, along with some other indecipherable sounds. "Reinforcements are on the way sir. It'll take some time for them to get there though". The gremlin replied. "Just make sure they'll get here. I want everyone back at the vault alive" Rultaos said to the communication officer. "Preparing to send transmissions to Moorcraft, now" The Gremlin announced.
Rultaos still did not rest, he knew that as long The Defiler was here, everyone's life was at risk. Then he realized that Fridge still hadn't responded to him. [By Vanaduke, I hope he's still alright] He thought frantically. He began searching the Manor for any sign of the Cryo Knight and his team.
((If it's alright with Za-ck. Fridge and his squad could fight with Defiler, and I would just arrive during the battle))
Q-77 cautiously crept down the passageway, slowly approaching the light source. He didn't sense any movement, so he stepped out into the open. He came across a vast chamber chamber filled with books as far as his optical sensor could see. In the middle of it however was a prone figure laying on the ground next to a scorch mark and a glimmering... something. Q-77 motioned for his team to follow him. As he approached the prone figure, he found to his surprise that it was the missing Konjuring Kat that they had been searching for! He got some of his team to start tending to the unconscious Kat. Just as he was about to use his comm unit to radio Rulatos about his find, something came into view around a corner. It was BIG, DARK, and quite honestly, FRIGHTENING. It looked like a whole mish-mash of different Clockworks creatures, all jammed together into one being. It appeared to have been attracted to the same light that Q-77 himself had been following. It then noticed Q-77 and his team, and seemed to get ready to attack. Q-77 readied his Freezing Edge sword and raised his shield. It looked like he and his team were about to be in for a fight.
Vakros was next to Rultoas when the Trojan issued his commands. He knew that whatever The Defiler was, by the sound of Rultoas's voice, was not here to talk. The Gremlin noticed that the thing, The Defiler, was swooping into some glowing ruins. His weird runes began to glow brighter and brighter. He ran towards the source, taking it as a sign. When his got there, his heart sank into a deep, dark place and his runes died to nothing. He was right behind a monstrosity. It was mix of different creatures, but it all corrupted, poisoned, defiled. Wait, it all made a connection. This was the dreaded Chimera, the one that knights were called crazy for "Catching Glimpses" of. He and Vakros had a past, even if it didn't know it. The monster was right in front of him, but hadn't seen him yet. He peeked out from behind its bulk. Fridge was right in front of it, his squad next to him, their weapons drawn. A Devilit I.T. saw him and gasped but catch himself, before he gave Vakros away. The Chimera began to attack, and the Gremlin pulled out his cursed staff. It was about to get ugly, fast.
I traversed the dusty bookshelves using a transport rail conveniently located to the side. No sign of Konjuring Kat yet. As I passed the bookshelves, it was like I went through millions and millions of cycles. It was like a maze too, it went on forever. Until just now, when I saw a large door. There wasn't anything behind it, just a door. A big stone door. I shone a flashlight on it and moved closer so I could see it easier. But then I heard a scrabbling behind me, and saw a legion of Dust Zombies coming towards me. They moaned, but I didn't hear moans. I heard taunts and insults about me, and my condition, and how old, small, and cowardly I am. I was infuriated, I wished they would go away. And then I shot an energy bolt at them, but instead came out a beam, a beam of pure shadow, that tore them apart and left bones scattered everywhere. Lights slowly came on and illuminated the deep library, and I noticed new items I had not seen before. Statues of strange beings in robes with their hands extended that looked like they were holding something. There were about five of them, and I could see lines connecting them and the door together. I took a picture of this place, and flew past old dusty bookshelves once more.

Dyrus, in one of your posts recently you said that you easily killed off several CO (Crimson Order) gremlins. I should have explained this better. There are an unknown number of them, though it is known that there are less that 10. All are extremely powerful, but rarely involve themselves directly with the outside world, preferring to stay in the shadows. A single one is more than a match for the entire CR team. And no, they are not overpowered, you just need special weapons to fight them. You could say that darkfang gremlins surrounded your character or something, but the Crimson order are a bit stealthier than that and won't reveal themselves unless they are putting something massive into place.
Don't have anything to say right now about my character, sorry.))
Defiler was very amused. He knew that source of that mysterious light was here, in Moorcroft, but he didn't expect to find the Renegades! He punched at the Mecha Knight that seems like the leader of the squad. This construct was...different. More experienced. Definitely fought with a knight. In that case... Defiler's green crystal glowed brightly. He was thinking only one word. Assimilate. He shot tentacles at the Construct, only to be countered by a large sword. 'Well, well, well. Look what we have here. The Last commander of the Trojans.'
((I am really sorry for short passage :'( I am lacking ideas. Yes, The Last Commander of the Trojans is Rultaos.))
Q-77 faced down the strange monstrosity. The creature appeared amused at the force that opposed it, chuckling slightly in a deep rasping voice. Almost too quickly to react to, it suddenly lurched forward in a powerful punch with one of its mismatched arms. Q-77 dodged backward, letting his shield take the brunt of the blow. Q-77 then crouched into a defensive position, watching this mysterious opponent warily. Briefly, he glanced back at his team, who still seemed shocked at the sudden appearance of this new foe. He had to protect them, they were part of his team after all!
Unfortunately, this brief lapse in concentration gave the creature an opportunity to counterattack. It shot out some slimy and sickly green tentacle-like appendages at Q-77, and he was unprepared for this attack. However, a large and heavy sword got in the way and prevented the tentacles from reaching him. Q-77 looked toward his savior and found that Rulatos had managed to find their location after all. Q-77 got back into a defensive stance, readying his blade. He was rapidly charging up the frigid gases stored in his body for his attack.
It looks like he will have to work with Rulatos to take down this powerful enemy.
((If any of you other Renegades want to step in, now would be the time to help!))
((Necroterra, I think Scourge is also at the treasure vault, perhaps inside a medical tent. Also, I probably should have said something earlier about the Crimson Order Gremlins, but since they were characters imagined by Necroterra, I decided that he/she be the one to decide their strength.
By the way, you guys took slight control of my character, and Dyrus'. It's fine for now since things were going pretty slow, but try not to make other people's characters do something that they normally wouldn't. Moving on))
"Vakros come on, we have to find the others" Rultaos told the Gremlin mender, but Vakros was nowhere to be seen. [Darn it all, where'd he go?]. He scanned the surroundings for any sign of the corrupted mender, but another thing caught his stone eyes. Glowing ruins not too far from his location. ((I'm going to assume that the light from Konjuring Kat's ritual got stronger since we can all somehow see it from the outside :P )) . [It's worth a look, hopefully I can find them before The Defiler does. Fridge still hasn't answered the transmission darn it] He thought as he walked in the direction of the white light. He decided to alert the second part of his squad that split up earlier ((Snarp's group)). "This is Rultaos, if you can hear me I'm heading to the glowing ruins. We'll regroup there, but if I tell you to escape you do it. Understood?" Rultaos said into his comm unit. The module crackled to life and said "Understood sir, we're on our way" The Gremlin on the other side replied.
As he made his way to the ruins, he saw a familiar silhouette against the brightness. It was Vakros, he could just make out the grey tint of his fur. "Vakros wait up!" Rultaos called out to the grey mender. However, his call was unheard as Vakros continued the descent into the ruins. Seeing no other option, Rultaos decided to follow. After walking to the bottom of the staircase, Vakros suddenly stopped.Rultaos thought it was time for him to talk, but he saw fear in the eyes of the mender and so he knew something was right around the corner. He was incredibly heavy, but his footsteps seemed to go unnoticed as he peeked around the corner. He almost wished he hadn't.
The monstrous figure of The Defiler was there, only a few meters before him.
[Great Almire, I never thought he could look like this] He thought. He had seen Defiler from afar, but up close he looked even more like an abomination. He saw The Defiler attack Fridge and knew that he had to intervene. Rultaos ran to the side of The Defiler just as the latter shot tentacles at the Mecha Knight. He quickly raised his sword and brought it down on the tentacles as they sped towards Fridge. the Defiler took notice of this and said "Well well well. Look what we have here; The Last commander of the Trojans" The Defiler said to him. "Fridge, get Konjuring Kat and your team out of here now! Leave this ugly brute to me" Rultoas said to the Mecha Knight's team. He did not know how powerful The Defiler was, but he wasn't going to risk his allies for that knowledge, he'd find it out for himself.
Rultaos backed up quickly and wind rushed past him as he charged at The Defiler with his shield; he hoped that his enemy would not be strong enough to parry the attack
((Remember, do NOT take control of other characters in a fight. Detail your posts to make them longer, but never take control of another combatant.
P.S. You guys have been misspelling my name a lot XD))
((Oops, sorry about that Azure. I'll try to get your character's name right next time. I didn't really want to take control of your character, it's just that Dyrus already did and I decided to go along with it. If it were me I would have had a small fight first, but he had already written that part beforehand. I just wrote a way for Dyrus' character to be introduced into a conflict, I really didn't take control of him to be honest, he was already on the way there.
Also, does the wait 2 posts rule still apply here? Because I think fight scenes are faster paced and all that))
Vakros swung his wrench overhead, readying for Chimera to open his defence and let Vakros take a swipe at his crystal. When the monster leaned forward, Vakros plunged his wrench into the green acidic rock. It clanged off and Vakros was knocked backwards, just in time to see Rultoas rush to Fridge's defence. Chimera didn't seem to notice the failed attack, and began dueling with Rultoas. Vakros grew angry, HE WAS NOT JUST A PEST! YOU COULD NOT IGNORE HIS ANGER! AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOU COULD NOT HURT HIS FRIENDS!!! Half of his body was wondering what was going on, while the other half was screaming a warcry. He ran forward putting all of his power into one attack. And again he bounced right back, but a tiny crack appeared on the evil crystal. The crack started glowing an eerie purple. All of Vakros's power was depleted, and he slumped against some ruins, totally spent.
((You can post immediately after your enemy, just make sure you don't go too fast and some roleplayers don't get a chance to post their actions. So yeah, it may not apply most of the time since fight scenes are more fast paced))
((I'm back from Finals and Alanis is ready to go! Please assign me to a Squad and I'll put Alanis there ASAP))
I see what you mean. Thank you for the second chance:
Name: Hanaphs
Race: Slag Guard
Gender: Male
Personality: Has a lot of mood swings. He is gets confused a lot.
Appearance: He changes his slag's/fire's/lava's color when is different moods. When happy, green, when mad, red, when sad, blue, and when confused, yellow. Instead of a crown on his shield, he has a rook/castle.
Equipment: Normal slag guard armor, shield(with rook/castle) and spear.
Skills: He can throw things with amazing accuracy.
Biography: He once served Lord Vanaduke full time, but now he rarely is called because of under-average skills, caused by a knight that serverly damaged him. He once was very skilled and was an important guard. Ever since he was demoted to part-time he had been seeing the chaos Cradle was in. Though he was not a very passive, he of course, still wanted to "live" like anyone else. As soon as he heard of the Clockworks Renegades, he asked Vanaduke if he could join. With little care from him, he immediately joined.
Additional facts: He does not like the parts of clockworks with snow(freeze).
Seal of the Rebellion: T.C.R.
I hope you'll accept this one.
((Your character seems acceptable. The only thing that seems to be missing is why he joined T.C.R. Unless of course, he is not part of it and will only meet them at some other point. I will accept you, but please be more elaborate with your character's motives e.g make your biography a tad bit longer.
When you make a biography, you need to ask yourself "will I be interested in reading this?". Feel free to begin posting, I just hope your writing skills will improve over time
@Xairathan,You can be in Fridge's group since my only companion was Vakros and Snarp already specified his team))
((Hey guys. I'm back. I'm going to be unavailable for a bit after the 25th though so you may control Subject 13 if you see fit Azure-Orbit. Might I ask which group Subject 13 is in Azure-Orbit so I can do what I can to contribute? Thanks.))
((Same as Xairathan, Fridge's group. Since the other teams were already specified. I have no idea which one Tallith is on, but I will assume that he is with me and Vakros.
Waiting for Dyrus to react to me to continue the fight))
Q-77 was a little confused, Rultoas just commanded him and his team to retreat! However, looking closely at his stone face, he could see that Rultoas was simply concerned about him and his team. (Although it was really rather hard to tell, with his head being made of stone and all). Reluctantly, Q-77 ordered a retreat, commanding some of his squad to grab Konjuring Kat and evacuating the area as quickly as possible. Looking back briefly, Q-77 could only wish Rultoas luck with his fight. As the skirmish began, Q-77 started running back down the tunnel he had came.
((I knew I missed something. Now that that's (double that?) done, I shall now commence posting.))
Hanaphs had just missed the meeting. Great. Wonderful way to begin an a group, now isn't it? All because of a stupid broken elevator. Or, what used to be an elevator. Just a stratum below them was where Spiral Knights looked at the core. Through the square hole was a large pile of junk. Steel bars, iron elevator floor, copper rim. In short, a bunch of scrap metal. He had to get to the treasure vault for a recap of the meeting, but today was not the best day to walk by Lord Vanaduke to the other elevator. Armored Slag Walker just wondered who the heck broke the an entire elevator! He looked up to the use-to-be square hole where the elevator came down from, and saw a light from a strata pretty far away. It was different from usual lights. He puzzled at it for a while. Hanaphs sighed. He REALLY did not want to go anywhere near Lord Vanaduke. "It's for a good cause..." He mumbled. He turned a dark blue in nervousness. He turned around and stared walking towards the throne room.
((Hope I did good! I haven't RP'ed in a long time now. Yes, he as more emotion colors than green, red, blue, and yellow. Also, 100th reply!))
Scourge screamed for the first time in his life. Or maybe shrieked. Screached. Whatever it is that Greavers do. He fell through the Crystal Shaft, passing Clockworks depths-in-the-making. He passed shifting pieces of land, Gremlin's fixing the Sky Dome, and a rather surprised Knight who had somehow broken into the un-reaveled Clockworks depths somehow.
He kept falling. After what seemed like hours, Scourge finally stopped screaming. HE figured that screaming would do nothing, except burst his ears. And lungs.
Suddenly, a blast of light shot through the Cage's vents. Scourge shielded his one eye with his wing, blinking rapidly. When his eyes had finally adjusted to the light, he looked out of the vents, and realized that he was in a Treasure Vault. Not a bad place to die. Then Scourge remembered something. Something important.
THe first T.C.R. meeting was today. In a Treasure Vault.
It couldn't be this one...
Greaver peered out of the vent again, and looked down. He felt a surge of vertigo as he saw how high in the sky he was. He looked away and shuddered, then forced himself to look again. He could see the faint outlines of... somethings starting to appear. The image got clearer, and Scourge cursed at what he saw.
He was about to crash right into the middle of the first T.C.R. meeting.
